Excelia Business School introduces Doctorate in Business Administration for experienced managers

It is a flexible three-year DBA program which is adapted to the pace of the working managers. The DBA program leads to the highest academic level in management - Doctorate in Business Administration. The managers or researchers join the program with their own research topic applied to a company.

Excelia Business School (France) is launching a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) for the start of the 2024 academic year. The DBA is aimed at experienced managers from all over the world. With its vocational and international approach, this doctoral programme enables learners to question their managerial practices by leveraging management science research.

DBA will be taught entirely in English, it will lead to the attainment of the top academic level in higher education. DBA enables managers to address tangible business issues through research and to produce practical knowledge that is useful to all companies.

The managers or researchers who will join the programme will join it with their own research topic applied to a company. While completing the program, they will be supervised Excelia Business School’s research-active faculty when they work on their thesis using a scientific research approach.

DBA format details

The format of the 3-year DBA programme is as follows:

● First year comprises theoretical and methodological lessons leading to a certificate ‘Research in Business and Management’

● Second and third years focus on the writing and defence of a DBA thesis. Learners benefit from quarterly workshops (60 hours total) to oversee research progress.

Excelia Business School’s DBA Overview

The admissions procedure includes application submission and interview. To apply to the DBA program, the candidate must have completed 5 years of higher education and, at least, 5 years of professional experience. The target students include forward-thinking managers, senior managers retraining, professionals looking for an academic career, and executives making a career transition. The application process to start in April 2024, and the program will start in September 2024. The duration of the course is 3 years. The format is hybrid combining distance learning with optional classroom sessions on the Paris.
