Best place to learn theoretical and practical knowledge based on realtime experience
Tips: College is strict in academics. You should follow the rules strictly while doing your assignments and work, and if you would like to avail any scholarship, the college will help you in that. The best place to experience a different number of cultures and traditions.
Likes (Safety): We will be able to access anything through our college student card, so that's a great opportunity, we can explore many things, and we will have possible ways to improve our networking through interacting with people who come from different regions.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My college professors are friendly and approachable anytime. We will be having a college mail ID. Using this ID, we can contact them any time if we have any issues, and mostly we will be able to sort out all the doubts in the class itself, as they explain everything in detail.

Master of Science in Computing - Batch of 2025

Strict, value for money, and hard work.
Tips: If you are going to study computing, be prepared to give up part-time work. The course is very practical and requires dedicated study hours. Don't expect easy passing like at other institutions; you need to put in the effort, prepare, and study to succeed.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The course is well-designed with many hands-on portions, sometimes a bit too much even. But it's still good value for money. The teachers are good at what they teach, but each subject has its own unique assessments and assignments that you need to pass individually.
Dislikes (Part time work): My course, M.Sc. in Computing, involved four days of on-campus lectures, numerous projects, and assignments, leaving little time for part-time work. The average hourly pay is around 13, but this varies depending on the workplace and hours worked.

A practical and vibrant experience at Griffith College Dublin.
Tips: Prospective students should know that Griffith College Dublin emphasises independent learning, requiring proactive use of resources like the library, faculty office hours, and self-directed opportunities such as internships, and researching your courses' practical components in advance. The compact, central campus offers convenience, but facilities vary by programme. Transitioning to Dublin involves adapting to Ireland's informal yet collaborative academic culture, where lecturers encourage debate but expect self-motivation. Socially, Irish warmth, ease of integration, though the humor, pub-centric social scene, weather, and high cost of living, prepare for rain and rent budgets can be initial challenges. Scholarships are merit-based and require strong academic transcripts, a personal statement, and references to apply early as they're competitive. Courses are industry-aligned with accessible lecturers, though administrative processes can be slow. Dublin is vibrant and safe, with excellent transport links for exploring Ireland/Europe. International students will find it a welcoming gateway to EU opportunities, but budgeting and embracing the city's quirks are key.
Likes (Safety): The campus and surrounding community prioritize proactive, holistic measures beyond basic security. Facilities include 24/7 emergency call boxes across campus, free nighttime safety escorts, well-lit pathways, and real-time safety alerts via a dedicated app. The university also partners with local police for regular patrols and hosts workshops on personal safety and crisis preparedness. In the city, I've generally felt secure thanks to active neighborhood watch programs and a visible community-police presence. However, some off-campus areas feel less safe after dark, particularly near bars or transit hubs, though incidents are rare, and the university shuttle service mitigates this by offering reliable transport. Overall, the institution's preventive infrastructure and response culture foster trust, even in a bustling urban environment.
Dislikes (Internships): While some general resources like career fair or online job boards exist, there's minimal personalized support for tailoring applications, navigating competitive processes, or connection with industry-specific opportunities. Many students rely on self-directed searches, which can be overwhelming without mentorship. Additionally, while some internships align with academic disciplines, others feel generic or lack meaningful exposure to core skills, leaving students to shift through options independent of finding roles that truly complement their studies. This inconsistency impacts preparedness and confidence in securing relevant professional experience.

Good college for people who are ready to work hard.
Tips: You might find it difficult to manage part time with studies as they have a tight schedule with assignments and exams. Weekends off can also mean spending time on submissions. Exams are taken seriously hence one would need lot of hard work. You will have study leave and some holidays to enjoy. Faculty members are highly professional and supportive. They prepare you for your career after studying. Overall, I am satisfied with my college.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty were mainly Irish. They were professional and great teachers. They were always happy to help. They were always approachable if you had a question. Most importantly, they taught you how to deal with the professional problems that you might encounter in your career.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time opportunities depends on the vacancy and your willingness to do any work. Currently the vacancies are less hence some people might find it difficult to get one. Also you might not unnecessarily get the full 20 hours to work in a week hence finding it difficult to earn for your living expenses.

Smooth transition and a great experience.
Tips: Before joining, research campus life, course curriculum, and location. I transition smoothly, adapting to diverse cultures. No cultural shock, but I did learn to be independent. I availed a merit-based scholarship, receiving 20% tuition fee waiver. It took time to get used to, but I enjoy it now. My day is usually spent with a combination of classes, self-study, and extracurricular activities. I enjoy campus events, such as cultural fests, as well as seminars. There are a variety of clubs here, such as debate, sports, etc. I only participate occasionally, though, as I have to balance academic activities with my interests. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the university, course, and country.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook my own meals. However, sometimes eating out is okay, although otherwise it is hard for students from outside. Some restaurants give offers for students. Indian restaurants tend to be located mainly in the city center, and, according to prices, it's a bit difficult for students there.
