Admission to the second cycle degree/two year master requires possession of a first cycle degree or a bachelor's degree awarded after three years of study, or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable. Additionally, candidates must meet the curricular requirements and pass the assessment of personal competence.
To be able to profitably follow the 2nd Cycle Degree Programme in Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry, students must possess the following knowledge:
- Sufficient English-language proficiency is a prerequisite for admission to the programme. Minimum is the B2 level of the European reference system
- Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Inorganic, Physical and Analytical Chemistry
Curricular requirements:
The following curricular requirements are needed:
1. A 1st cycle degree in one of the following classes, or other suitable qualification obtained abroad:
- ex Italian Ministerial Decree no. 270: L-27 Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche [Chemistry]
- ex. Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/99: 21 Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche [Chemistry]
Other qualifications admissible under special laws:

or
2. have acquired at least 90 CFU in one or more of the following subject areas:
- CHIM/01-12 and ING-IND/21-27
For candidates holding a foreign degree, the Commission shall verify the possession of knowledge and skills evaluating the candidate curriculum .

Assessment of personal competences will be held in accordance with the methods defined in the degree programme teaching regulations.
The Board of Master Degree may establish an assessment session dedicated to international students and a dedicated Commission, according to the deadlines of the call for application of the scholarships and ministerial pre-registration procedures
