A welcoming environment and great, understanding faculty.
Tips: I did not really know what to expect initially but I was pleasantly surprised as I found my university to be accommodating, especially in my field of study. It is located close to the city centre which is known as the centre- the square where all the happening spots are. The internships available are very limited and in my case, my programme is very niche hence there are limited opportunities in general. The college doesn't offer internship opportunities so you are on your own on this one and language becomes another barrier. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experience here.

The university is decent but limited internship opportunities.
Tips: I think I have been quite satisfied with everything I learned and all the people I got to know during my time at the university. My only advice would be to keep an open mind and be flexible with whatever opportunity that comes your way. Learn Italian to communicate with the locals and it will also enhance your ability to get a job if you speak fluent Italian. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Internships): There are hardly any available opportunities for internships as Bologna is not very well connected as compared to other cities. There is more priority given to locals and the linguistic barrier becomes an added challenge, especially as an international student.

Tips: You will be living among some truly spectacular views as Bologna is a very pretty old city among the mountain range. Tips: I got to meet and interact with people from all over the world and that contributed to broadening my horizons and personality as well. Moreover, exploring Italy has been truly marvellous. If you decide to come here then make sure you realise that it is fundamentally different from cities like Milan and you'll need to understand basic Italian. People are warm so you shouldn't have a hard time setting in.
