- Completed an LLB (Hons) at the University of Waikato with at least a 'B' grade point average or a combined Law degree at the University of Waikato or an equivalent qualification at another university; or
- Satisfied the prerequisites for graduate study in the subject at a level that is considered appropriate by the Academic Board
- In exceptional circumstances, candidates who do not meet these requirements, but who have proven record of academic merit and relevant experience may be accepted into the program
- A recognized bachelors degree with a B/B+ average, and a B/B+ average in a relevant subject if required
- B-minus grade average across the 300-level papers; or by special admission
- Applicants from India: Achieve an average of 75% over the best four academic subjects in the Indian School Certificate (ISC), or the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC), and selected state boards: Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal with a minimum of 60% in English, or:An average of 80% over the best four academic subjects in all other state boards with Minimum of 65% in English.
