Study in UK: Applications are open for the Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025 at King's College London. The last date to apply is May 7, 2025.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Global Cultures Institute at King's College London have invited applications for the King’s Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025-26. The Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) and King's will award this fellowship, and one biennial award will be granted to an early to mid-career India-based scholar.
The fellowship options are restricted to the fields of Heritage, Arts and the Humanities. The candidates with no prior experience of conducting research outside India will be given preference in the Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025. The application deadline is May 7, 2025. No incomplete or late applications will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria For Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025
The following are the eligibility criteria for the fellowship:
- The candidates must have completed their PhD.
 - They should have been employed either at a university or an equivalent research institute in India in full-time employment.
 - The applicants need to be Indian nationals and should be staying in India at the time of application.
 - The Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025 cannot be held in conjunction with any other award.
 - The applicants should state in the application if their results or other grant applications are awaiting.
 - If anyone has received a CWIT grant in the last 5 years, they are not eligible for the fellowship.
 
How To Apply For Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025
To apply for this fellowship, the candidates must submit their updated CV, two letters of recommendation, a research proposal of up to 3000 words, and one writing sample, which can be published or unpublished. They should also provide a statement on why King’s Global Cultures Institute is best suited for their proposed research and about their plan of work during the Fellowship.
The selected candidates will be interviewed either through Skype or Zoom in June 2025. The final results will be communicated to candidates through email.
Benefits And Responsibilities
The selected fellows are expected to add value to the vibrant research environment at the Faculty and the Global Cultures Institute and present a seminar. They will get a fellowship to develop their research work. While completing their fellowship, they will be encouraged to develop research partnerships with the faculty across the arts and humanities.
The selected fellows will be at King’s College London for three months starting from April 2026. The Fellowship also includes £1,600 per month as living expenses and £700 towards return airfare. The candidates need to apply for and pay for their UK visa, and with guidance from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, should also arrange their accommodation.
"The CWIT Fellow will be provided a working space in the Faculty/Global Cultures Institute, and will have access to the standard library, internet, and office resources as other members of the faculty," added the King's College London statement.
