The University of East Anglia (UEA) has launched the MSc in Global Public Health programme. The course will commence in September 2025. UEA’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is offering this master's program for students passionate about improving global health outcomes.

While speaking on the launch, Christopher Burton, Dean of Health Sciences at UEA, said, “Public health plays a crucial role in tackling some of the most pressing challenges the world is facing today. At UEA, we’re dedicated to equipping the next generation of global health leaders through a blend of interdisciplinary education, hands-on experience, and cutting-edge research. This MSc programme is crafted to ensure that our graduates possess the skills, confidence, and critical thinking necessary to drive improvements in public health on a global level," as reported by the Economic Times.

The tuition fee for international students in the academic year 2025/26 is £22,700. The living expense is expected to be £1,136 per month.

Entry Requirements For MSc in Global Public Health Programme

The following are the eligibility criteria:

  • The course is open to UK and International fee-paying students.
  • The international students must have a UK bachelor's degree - 2.2 or equivalent in a health-related subject.
  • The applicants whose first language is not English need to offer evidence of proficiency in English by submitting an IELTS score of a minimum of 6.0 overall with no less than 6.0 in Speaking and Writing, and not below 5.5 in Reading and Listening.

MSc in Global Public Health: More Details

It offers an interdisciplinary learning experience and brings together experts from various fields, including international development, public health, and environmental sciences. The students will get to apply cutting-edge research, engage with global case studies, and gain the analytical skills required to handle complex health challenges.

After completing the course, one can work on the following profiles: Global Public Health Researcher, Global Health Policy Analyst, Health Programme Coordinator, Health Programme Manager (e.g. in NGOs & International Organisations), Engagement Officer, Humanitarian Affairs Officer, Health Anthropologist, and Climate and Health Specialist.







This program provides the knowledge and skills needed to work in government bodies, health agencies and international NGOs.
