University of Texas at Tyler Longview University officials hope to offer the new courses for students seeking to obtain a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education from next academic year.
As per reports, the University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center is planning to offer new degree programs and build new buildings shortly.
Leaders are working to add courses in business, education, grant-writing, leadership and nonprofit continuing education in the future, said University Center Director Rodney Ellis during a UT Tyler alumni reception at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts.
These new courses are likely to start from next academic year, added Ellis. The Director also said that there is a plan to break ground on a 10,000-square-foot building in mid-to-late August. The building will include a large lecture hall and labs for nursing, science and biology courses. The building is expected to open by late 2025 or early 2026.

Application deadline for Undergraduate International Students Fall 2024 is May 31. All required documents must arrive by the deadline date. UT Tyler’s international student application fee is $75 and must be paid when you submit your application. The application fee is non-refundable and cannot be waived.
The following are the eligibility criteria for UG admissions to UT Tyler Longview University:
- Students must complete an accredited high school program.
- Fill out an International Undergraduate Freshman Application on the official website.
The application deadline for international students applying from outside the country is May 31, 2024, for Fall admissions and October 31, 2024 for Spring admissions. For international students who are already in the USA, the application deadline for the Fall session is June 30, 2024.

The applicants must meet the following requirements:
Top 25% - Automatic Admissions
- 2nd Quartile - Minimum of 2.75 GPA
- 3rd Quartile - Minimum of 2.75 GPA
- 4th Quartile - Minimum of 2.75 GPA
Students must provide qualifying scores for one of the following English proficiency tests:
- TOEFL: 79
- IELTS: 6.5
- Pearson: 53
- Duolingo English Test: 105
If a student has graduated from high school in the United States, English Proficiency will be waived.
The university also offers multiple scholarships for deserving candidates. Students receiving the National Merit Finalist, National Merit Semi-Finalist, Regents, Patriot, Patriot Achievement, Presidential or Graduate scholarship are not eligible for additional scholarship funding for the summer semesters, according to the university's official statement.
There is no minimum GPA score for UG admission at Ohio State. However, International students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent) for graduate admission. Applicants may submit a standardized test score (GRE or GMAT) if their cumulative GPA is below 3.0 for the last degree.

The University of South Dakota expects a GPA score of 2.5 from undergraduates and 3 from postgraduates on the 4-pointer scale. Along with the GPA scores, undergraduates must meet the basic eligibility and submit an ACT score of 21 or higher and an SAT score of 1070 or higher.
