MS in Mathematics - Batch of 2026
3.5
Friendly, safe and fun campus.
Tips: I have learnt how to be more confident and self motivated to get through here. Academics are taken seriously and you'll have to learn how to navigate your way throughout. On campus jobs are hard to get but once you have one, it will be easier to maintain. On campus clubs make things more fun and the campus is quite lively and safe overall.

Master of Science in Information Technology - Batch of 2026
3.9
Safe and student-friendly.
Tips: If you're in a programme similar to mine and you're expecting more hardcore coding related aspects, you'll have to upskill yourself as my programme is flexible and interdisciplinary but doesn't consist of as much coding as one might expect. Academic advisors and my professors have been helpful whenever needed but plan it out early to avoid last minute clashes and delays. Very safe and student friendly as well and I would love to stay if I find a role aligned with data or UX.

MS in Construction and Facilities Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.7
Good for learning and growth.
Tips: The campus has almost always been vibrant even during holidays when most leave. It took me a while to adjust to the informal atmosphere in classes such as calling professors by their first names, etc. My course is more interesting than I had thought and my peers are very friendly as well. Tuition is comparatively better than in a lot of places.

MS in Design Science - Batch of 2027
3.6
Good faculty and lessons.
Tips: I have grown more self aware and culturally aware owing to the exposure and diversity on campus and I have become much more independent than I ever was even though I studied out of town for my undergrad. The university is a good choice for those looking to experiment or who are keen on getting into teaching. The campus is quite happening yet safe. Good university with consistent workload all in all.

M.S. in Data Science and Business Analytics - Batch of 2026
3.8
Great place for STEM.
Tips: Coming here has been a great decision for me personally. There is good value for money as UNC is more reasonable compared to a lot of universities and is well known for STEM fields hence, this arrangement has worked in my favour. Professors are approachable and passionate as are the students. Diverse campus as well.
Likes (Student Life): The student life here is very eclectic and active. There's always something going on and something for everyone to do be it hobbies, sports, events and activities to socialize. People are also welcoming and friendly which makes it feel quite inclusive.

Fun yet fulfilling so far.
Tips: The courses here are challenging but informative. A lot of the popular classes fill up really fast so you'll have to be very prompt with course registration. Mail your professors and university services whenever you're in a fix, you're bound to get some help. Plenty of fellow Indian students as well. Lots of events on campus every now and then, especially sports and games.
