Students from all fields and study streams are eligible to apply for the scholarship. However, the Charpak Exchange Scholarship remains valid for a period of one to six months, between the months of January to May. Any extension on the length of stay if allowed would be at the cost of the awardee.

Charpak Exchange Scholarship

An extension of French-Indian ties and to promote education between the two countries, the French government launched the Charpak Scholarships – a grant initiative that is funded by the Embassy of France in India. Charpak Scholarships are named after Nobel Laureate and French Physicist, Georges Charpak who was the recipient of the coveted Nobel Prize in Physics in 1992. The Charpak Scholarships is the apex body that offers three categories of funding for Bachelor's and Master's level of study, The Charpak Lab Scholarship, The Charpak Exchange Scholarship and The Charpak Master's Scholarship.
