History
It began as a school at the St Cecilia's Concert Hall at Niddry Street, Edinburgh, welcoming around 300 students for its first lecture in Chemistry. Within a month, the student population increased to 450. The city of Edinburgh was the centre of the Scottish Enlightenment, led by David Hume and Adam Smith. Leonard Horner, a social reformer, received a complaint from his friend, Robert Bryson, about the need for an affordable mathematics institution.
Horner came up with the idea to start a school that offered evening classes to the working men in the region, and received financial backing from the locals, which led to the start of the Edinburgh School of Arts.

Most courses require you to complete Class 12th with a minimum overall average of 70%. For Computing or Design programmes, 65% is the minimum you'll need, while Actuarial Science or Statistics courses require an overall 75%, with a minimum 80% in Maths. Some courses may also require you to submit a valid SAT or ACT score. An IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 5.5, or a TOEFL-iBT score of 79 with no less than 17 in any section, or a PTE academic score of 63 with no less than 59 is needed.
Graduate Requirements
A 3-year UG degree with a minimum of 60%, compared to a 2:1 UK Degree or 55% in a degree comparable to a 2:2 degree in the UK, is needed. A 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 in IELTS, or a 68 overall, with no less than 63 in PTE Academic, or a TOEFL-iBT score of 85 with no band less than 19 is needed.
