Baylor's Indian Subcontinent Student Association (ISSA) is the largest multicultural organisation on campus, providing unity among students of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and Myanmar while also providing all Baylor University students the opportunity to experience basic Indian Subcontinent culture. Q:   Is Baylor University a top tier?
    A:

Texas, USA-based Baylor University is a private research institution. If we keep an eye on Baylor's performance in the global university rankings, we can observe that it has largely maintained the position that major publishers had assigned it. Moreover, Baylor has been ranked by QS (Top Universities) between 801 and 1000 since 2018.

Baylor University's ranking with Times Higher Education (THE) dropped from 601-800 in 2020 to 801-1000 in 2021. Since 2018, Baylor has been ranked by US News among the top 100 colleges and universities in the country. According to the rankings mentioned above it can be observed that Baylor University is not top tier but is one of the best options for international students.

Q:   Does Baylor require you to live on campus?
    A:

Yes, for all the undergraduate students it is mandatory for the first year students ti live on campus, for the transfer students housing is limited and fills up quickly and if they do not get to live on campus they will have to opt for the off-campus housing options. There is limited housing on-campus for graduate students and their families. The furniture for the housing can be rented by the graduate students till their time in Baylor. The furniture is provided by the First Baptist Church of Waco to the students.

Finding cheap accommodation close to campus might be difficult because of the large number of students at Baylor and the competitive housing market.  You should start looking for off-campus housing as soon as you can. Don't hold off till you get to Waco.  The majority of cheap housing near the college is occupied months before classes start.  However, these are not owned or controlled by Baylor, and the university is not liable for any faults or problems that occur at these places. Baylor has established a website to help you with this procedure. This list is provided merely as a convenience.

Q:   What is Baylor University known for?
    A:

Baylor University is a private Christian university that was founded in 1845 by the Republic of Texas. The university is internationally known for the following:

    • Baylor University offers a range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree courses to international students as well as the Education Specialist and Master of Laws program.
