History
The CSULB started its journey as Los Angeles-Orange Country State College with only 169 students and 13 full time faculty members in apartment building which was then converted. In beginning, when university did not had permanent building under its name, bigger classes were conducted in living rooms, mid-size classes were conducted in the dining room and smaller classes in kitchen. In summer of 1951, university started with construction of its permanent campus and inaugurated its 1st permanent building in 1955. Over years, university continued to have multiple facilities in uni.
