School of Public Health policy requires submission of the completed online application, including ALL supporting materials, by the application deadline. Allow plenty of time for transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other documents to reach their destination.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham application fee for undergraduate admission is USD 40 for first-year students. The UAB application fee for graduate admission is USD 50 for first-year students. These application fees is non-refundable and international students need to submit the fee to complete the admission process.
UABUAB Scholarships
International freshmen at the University of Alabama at Birmingham who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible for a merit-based scholarship of 7,500 USD per year. First-year students may also be eligible for the UAB International Baccalaureate Scholarship, which needs a separate application. As the reward is only awarded to individuals who apply for a 4 year IB degree, the initial award of 1,000 USD is increased to 2,500 USD upon receiving an IB diploma.
The UAB International Scholarship of USD 7,500 (annually) is offered to international students who are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program. It is a merit-based scholarship awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as the funds are available and renewable for a total of four years (eight academic semesters). Aspirants who receive governmental scholarships or other external support are not eligible to receive this award. To be eligible for this, UG applicants need to meet the following requirements:
- Have a high school certificate with a 3.0 out of 4.0 minimum GPA
- Should not be enrolled in a post-secondary job
- Hold an F-1 visa
