History
Established in 1996, Melbourne Institute of Technology was founded by Nepali-Australian Businessman Shesh Ghale and his wife Jamuna Gurung. MIT offers various programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for its international students. From its campus in Melbourne, it first provided diploma-level courses in business, information technology, and English. In 2003, MIT established a campus in Sydney that offered UNE courses in collaboration with the University of New England. The historic Argus Building in Melbourne hosted the opening of a new campus in October 2016.
