About University of Perpetual Help
Established in 1975, the University of Perpetual Help is a catholic university in Dalta, Las Piñas, Philippines.
The institute founded by Antonio and Daisy Tamayo offered only a Nursing course in the beginning which saw around 700 students enroll.
The Molino and Calamba campuses were then setup in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Finally, in 1997, it received its university status from CHED. In 2017, CHED conferred upon the university its autonomous status.
It has about 1,500 academic staff and over 18500 students. UPHSD has attracted various students from across the globe with its quality education and state-of-the-art facilities. It is the destination for creativity, education, discovery, hospitality and innovation. It has six departments namely, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Business and Social Studies, Faculty of Language and Culture, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science and Technology.
The university has over 80 programs offering various specializations at different levels of study. Some of the courses offered by the university are Bachelor in Architecture, AB in Communication and Media, Aircraft Mechanics Technology, Aviation Electronics Technology, BS in Accountancy, BS in Criminology, BS in Civil Engineering and much more, including Teacher Training Programs. In addition, it also provides Kindergarten, Grade School, Junior Business High School and Senior High School services.
The university has over 40,000 alumni and also accepts a high number of international students from different nationalities. Some of the notable alumni from UPHSD are Richard Gomez an athlete, television presenter, director and politician, currently the mayor of Ormoc City and Scottie Thompson a Basketball Player at PBA.

The University of Perpetual Help was established in 1975 as an institute for healthcare and other professional studies, namely Perpetual Help Hospital and College of Nursing.
