- An applicant is required to have a minimum of an Australian AQF 8 Bachelor (Honours) degree or a four-year AQF 7 Bachelor degree in aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, aviation, and aviation management with a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) including international degrees
- Those who have met the above-mentioned criteria, i.e. have an accredited degree with at least 1.5 out of 4 as GPA, along with 3 years of relevant work experience in the airworthiness area will also be considered having good grounds for their application. OR
- An Australian AQF 8 Bachelor (Honours) degree or an Australian 4-year AQF 7 Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, automotive engineering, electronics/electrical engineering, computer network engineering, electrical avionics with a GPA of at least 1.5 out of 4.0 and three (3) years of relevant industry experience in airworthiness. OR
- Moreover, a postgraduate qualification from Australia (or its international equivalent) in aeronautics, air transportation, and management would be sufficient for an applicant to get accepted into the program
- Lastly, international students holding degrees in engineering disciplines (mentioned above) will have to acquire three (3) years of industry experience in airworthiness to be accepted as well
- People who have no relevant qualifications will be considered for the position if they have ten (10) years of experience in the relevant field
