The last date to apply for the Semester 2 admissions of 2024 is May 15, 2024, and for admissions in courses of the year 2025, the application for Semester 1 is currently open and will be accepted till December 2024, and for Semester 2 of the year 2025, the applications will be accepted till May 2025.

Minimum entry requirement for 2024

This applies to 2024 only. Admission is going to be competitive, hence, meeting all admission requirements does not automatically guarantee entry to the programs. The minimum requirement for Indian students is an Indian School Certificate (ISC).

There are minimum percentage requirements for admission to each stream including ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences, ANU College of Asia & the Pacific, ANU College of Business & Economics, ANU College of Engineering, Computing & Cybernetics, ANU College of Law, and ANU Joint Colleges of Science. The minimum percentage for these colleges is not less than 84%, to know the exact requirements for each college, the candidates must visit the official website of the university - study.anu.edu.au.

ISC average from marks in English and the best 3 externally examined subjects will be considered. 

English Language Requirements

The English requirements are part of the University's minimum admission requirements. In your application, you may also need to meet some additional requirements set by your degree program. The English language requirements apply to all - domestic and international students.

To demonstrate that you meet these requirements, you can either prove through completion of prior secondary or tertiary qualifications in English OR you can provide an acceptable English proficiency test. Some of the popular tests include - International English Language Testing System (IELTS), TOEFL iBT, Cambridge C1 Advanced, and Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic. Also, citizenship of certain English speaking countries (Group A countries) along with education undertaken in that country demonstrates your English speaking capabilities.

As an ANU student, you must ensure you hold a current visa which entitles you to study for the duration of your program. Typically this is a subclass 500 student visa. The student must apply for a student visa as soon as you receive your confirmation of enrolment (CoE).
