- A minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 point system, over the past two years of full-time study (a minimum of 10 full-course equivalents or 60 units) of the undergraduate degree
- Indian Students:
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree - First Class Division, or 8/10 (or 7.5/10 for IIT's only). Students with 3 year Bachelor's Degree must also hold a Master's Degree.
- Registered Nurses must be eligible for active nursing registration in Alberta (registrants in the program must provide proof of active CARNA registration or equivalent each year); Registered Psychiatric Nurses are expected to provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) or equivalent each year
