Colorado State University launches seven new first-year study-abroad locations

The new opportunities at Colorado State University are being launched for the upcoming semesters.
Colorado State University (CSU) is broadening its horizons with the launch of seven new first-year study abroad locations for upcoming semesters. Currently, there are a total of 12 first-year study abroad options which will increase with the launch of these new opportunities. The aim is to provide enhanced opportunities for international students to explore new cultures through small group learning environment.
Nicole Pawloski, the program manager on the Education Abroad team who oversees the first year abroad programs at the university expressed his excitement about the launches and said that it is a cool opportunity for students to know better about themselves and also to know about other cultures before starting their journey at CSU.
The first-year seminar abroad programs for fall 2024, will be going to Japan, Denmark, Spain and Ireland. These are open to all majors.
As per the report of Collegian, the fall 2024 will also witness a biology program in Australia, a business seminar in Croatia, a program in Denmark that has a chemical and biological engineering focus, a program in Italy for design and merchandising students and many other programs.
CSU extends enrollment deadline to June 1
The university has extended its enrollment deadline for incoming first-year students from May 1 to June 1.
Earlier, the Department of Education had announced that the universities and colleges will not receive 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) data from applicants until the first half of March. The extension has followed this announcement which means that there will be delay in providing financial help awards to students and the extension is given to provide a small window for students to decide whether they want to choose this university or not.
CSU launched the Presidential Executive in Residence program
The university has also announced a new Presidential Executive in Residence program to engage top professionals in advisory roles for the university and to connect faculty, students and the entire community. CSU President Amy Parsons announced this award recently. The President has named the award-winning Major League Baseball Broadcaster Jenny Cavnar as the first Presidential Executive in Residence for CSU with immediate effect.

As an influential figure who is deeply invested in sharing her expertise, there is no one better than Jenny Cavnar to launch this initiative. I can’t wait to see the ways this incredible CSU alumna will mentor our students and collaborate with the university community to elevate our work at Colorado State,” said CSU President Amy Parsons.
Cavnar, five-time Emmy Award winner, has expressed how thrilled she is to be named as first Presidential Executive in Residence at Colorado State University. She herself is an alumna of CSU who is returning to the campus after 20 years.
