A great place to make your career.
Tips: There is a cultural shift. You will initially feel discomfort and excitement both at the same time. But when you will get assignments and work at the same time, you won't get time to think of that. Scholarships are for thesis based mostly. I applied for them, it's a bit competitive.
Dislikes (Part time work): As you enter, it's difficult to find on campus part time jobs unless you are in thesis based course. So even if part time job is not in your field, just try to grab it. I did my first part time job at a grocery store as a produce clerk. You need to find off campus jobs. It's manageable. You should do proper time management. 15 CAD per hour.

There are few local job opportunities and students needs to relocate after graduation.
Tips: UAlberta has excellent academic, research and work opportunities, and the campus and student life are pretty vibrant too. Diversity is pretty good, with people from all over the world. Moving to Canada was a big transition, but the UAlberta community made it easier. Overall, I loved my experience here.
Likes (Student Life): The University of Alberta has great spots on campus to study, like SUB, HUB, and a lot of libraries, all of which are very safe. There are also a lot of food options available in these places. There are a lot of club options—Indians Students Association, CS clubs, and many others—to keep students engaged.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Edmonton doesn't have a very large tech sector compared to cities like Toronto or Vancouver. This means fewer local job opportunities, and students often need to relocate after graduation for better job prospects. At least in tech fields like core engineering, there are opportunities right here.

My experiences in the University of Alberta was good.
Tips: The university is in Edmonton. Weather goes to -30 degrees in winter. Cannabis is legal here, so you will see many addicts on the street. Many homeless people near the downtown area. So avoid downtown. I am not that satisfied with my degree. I wanted to switch from software development to machine learning developed with this degree but I don't think I can do it.
Likes (Public transportation): Rate 5 due to robust public transportation. Campus seamlessly connected to the city via buses and Metro. The whole city is well connected. Transportation cost is included in the tuition fees. No need to pay extra for transportation. Uber is easily available if you want to go to a remote destination.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Rated 3 on post-study jobs due to limited visa sponsorship. Unsure about specific companies. Generally, job roles vary, but the average salary in Edmonton post-studies is around 50k. I got a job through my professor, got lucky with this one. But do not expect the same thing to happen with every student.

My journey here was amazing and exposure at University of Alberta is great.
Tips: Definitely there is a cultural shift. It is more about individuals here. Moreover, received a fund of around 21000 CAD/year, which covers my course fees, accommodation, and my living accommodation. This fund is part of my scholarship where the course fee is around 11k/year. CAD and for me the accommodation cost is around 580 CAD. I was very much satisfied with my university. One thing more is that I also received a one-time scholarship of 5000 CAD at the beginning of my programme.

They gave me opportunity.
Tips: Canada is foreigner country. So obviously there are many culture difference. But I love the culture here. I applied for scholarship before the starting of the college and they approved my scholarship. I get $10000 scholarship. All the process details available on the university website. I am satisfied with the University of Alberta and Canada.
Likes (Safety): Safety is the first priority of University of Alberta for students. Campus security team available 24/7 to maintain safe and secure campus environment. University of Alberta provide safety and security programme. Security patrol the campus and respond in emergency.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many food option available in Edmonton but the thing is foods are very expensive. Our area have different types of foods like Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican etc. If you are international student and doing part time job then the food is expensive for you. I prefer eating from home and cooking by myself, because it is very cheap.

Life changing college for me.
Tips: I am very shy type boy but after coming to Canada I completely changed and my network is big in Canada. When you leave your home country no one can be with you so you are solely facing all the problems and it is life changing for me. This country culture is different. I am not eligible for applying scholarship because my IELTS band is low. But I enjoyed to live in this country.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is best in university of alberta. Because they gives university of alberta student U-pass and who have U-pass they can unlimited access to light rail and tansit buses. It is more affordable compare to buy daily ticket. So most of the student have U-pass. And it's affordable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Because our area lack of availability of Indian food. In our local area Indian foods are hard to find. Most of the hotel and restaurants are non-vegetarian. But all the foods are available in Edmonton. And eating outside is very costly for international students. So I prefer to cook by myself at home.

University of Alberta offers fantastic teaching quality.
Tips: I didn't experience any cultural shift after coming to Canada because in this country Indian population is good. So it will be easy to cope with them. However, there was some cultural differences in terms of cooking and part time work experience. I didn't apply for any internship cause my rank was too low. University of Alberta is one of the best universities for me and I love Canada.
Likes (Indian Food): All the types of restaurants are available for you, if you want to eat non-veg or veg. Mostly non-veg restaurants are here. If you don't know cooking you can eat tiffin. Indian foods are also available in the area. But if you eat outside in restaurants or hotels it will be expensive. You can cook for yourself at home and it will be cheap. So I prefer cooking and before moving to Canada please learn cooking.
Dislikes (Internships): University of Alberta faculty members are helpful in finding internships and applying. Faculty have good knowledge about field-related internships so if you have any doubts related to the internship you can contact them and they will resolve your problem. If you want to do field related internship you can meet the faculty.

Tips: Yes moving to new country I experienced transition adapting different culture and way of life is different from yihr hime country. Canada have many culture and different countries people coming canada so there are many cultural shift after coming in this country. I applied before coming canada and a got scholarship.
Likes (Part time work): On campus job vacancy is too low and chamces to get on campus part time job is also low because all the students first try is get part time job on campus. Off campus job is quite difficult to get but you apply all places and definitely you got a once place. Part time job is manageable because you have 20 hours to do job and all time you are free then you can study free time so part time job alnog with academics is manageable for me.
Dislikes (Student Life): I spend my time in campus to do many activities and some events. I enjoy in campus because campus environment is totally different and I loved my spent more and more time in campus. Many events organized by university are orientation week, guest lectures and speaker series, arts and culture events, sports and atheletics events and many more. Leeds Beckett does not offer any specific placement programs.
Tips: People on campus are friendly. Finding part-time jobs might be hard as Leeds is a student hub. Of course, there are cultural differences when moving to another continent, but nothing too hard that one can't get accustomed to in the first one or two months. I did get a scholarship based on my grade for international students.
Likes (Safety): The city is safe, the campus is mostly safe and guarded. There is a shuttle bus from City campus to Headingley campus and vice versa on designated times, so if you plan your day around it, you don't really have to depend on public transportation and can save quite a good amount of money.
Dislikes (Internships): Unlike most Indian universities, Leeds Beckett does not offer any specific placement programs. Instead, it facilitates the job-hunting process. Internships can be hard to secure, and your skills and talent play a primary role in securing them. You have a lot of occasions and events to make connections. Networking at these events can help you meet potential employers.

The process of applying for a visa to work is expensive.
Tips: I have become more independent and have made friends across all nationalities. The simpler part of Leeds is its friendly crowd and social culture that makes it easy for making friends. The university is in the city centre, which makes it very accessible. The Leeds City Bus Services are a convenient way to get around, and the train and bus stations are both within two miles’ distance of the university. Using your student pass to purchase tickets makes bus travel affordable, and having a rail card gives you discounts on travel between cities. I did not avail of any scholarships as I come from an Indian university tie-up programme. I am quite satisfied with my university and the UK in general.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I'm not interested in settling down in the UK. The process of applying for a visa to work is expensive, and it is hard to guarantee that there is a job waiting for me. People who have sponsorship roles can make the process more affordable. However, for most others, it is expensive. My goal was to finish my MBA and start up a company in India. Putting deliberate thought and effort into your job search will help land you a job in the UK.

The university provides us with internship opportunities and has great academics.
Tips: Students should know that the university has two campuses, the city campus and the Headingley campus. Scholarships are available at both campuses and they range up to 3000 pounds. The university provides good exposure to the students which is very helpful for their future careers. I love the culture, the place and the people here. It's a great place to study, learn and get a job. I would personally recommend coming here to study and stay. I'd like to stay here myself and excel in my studies so that I can start my own business. I am very satisfied with the university and the course I am pursuing.
Likes (Part time work): The university is very vast and helpful. It helps students get internships and explore new opportunities that could lead to full-time jobs. An internship is the best way to get a career boost and if the university offers placement assistance that's even better.

Leeds Beckett University is fun going and friendly university.
Tips: Before joining Leeds Beckett University, students should know that it's essential to have a backup plan and be financially prepared, as relevant jobs are hard to come by. Students should also focus on doing their own assignments and not outsource them, as this can lead to complications. Overall, I'm satisfied with the module content at Leeds Beckett University.
Likes (Student Life): It's vibrant as Leeds is mostly a student-based city. You can share your rent with friends and spend less too. You can split groceries as well because everyone is very friendly here. I've been to so many nightclubs and events that it really feels very festive.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I have attended so many job fairs but haven't gotten in yet. And most of the companies that offer jobs are non-relevant to sports. I have only worked in part-time jobs while studying in this university, full time jobs are really hard to get and sponsorship too.

College is amazing and specially the international student environment.
Tips: They give international scholarships to every international student so get it before paying any fees, and many more scholarships are available, you can find them on their official website. I have two scholarships one is international and is a Btec level 7 Master.
Likes (Value for money): I got two scholarships from the college, so I only had to pay 9555 pounds a year for my MBA. In India, you have to pay more than 10 lakhs for an MBA, so getting an international degree at Leeds Beckett was a good value for money.
Dislikes (Internships): It is easy to find an internship anywhere, but you should first decide which college you want to study at. After that, you need to research the college because every field has different colleges. Leeds Beckett College is the best college for everyone because its QS ranking is good. Lovable and easy going environment at Leeds Beckett University.
Tips: Coming to Leeds as an International student is a very enriching experience as you get a lot of exposure and get to learn a new way of life. We have close to about 60K students studying here so you get a very positive transition experience. I got a scholarship of 2K early bird which students can avail based on their academic record. I love the experience here in UK.
Dislikes (Student Life): Our university offers a diverse and exciting student life experience. We also have guest lectures where students get the opportunity to learn from the experiences of renowned guests. University also has a lot of societies in which you can become a member and network with people.

Best university in the city of Leeds
Tips: We have a scholarship at this university. I love the course and the systematic studies. The university experience is also nice and they not only focus on studies but also on other extracurricular activities which encourages the students as well.
Likes (Quality of faculty): They are really nice. I love their teaching and the techno is also very good. The teaching faculty members never discriminated. They are good with each person. The methodology is also good and unique. They make study interesting also. It is easy to approach the faculty members.
Dislikes (Part time work): We don't get part-time easily and do not get much help. If we get more knowledge about the part times then it would be easier for the International students as we come from different places and do not have much knowledge. I would appreciate if we get to know more about the jobs and how to get them.

One can say Leed Beckett university is one of the great university for changing life of students
Tips: The transition was a little harder for me as there were no friends. Initially, all the students were not that friendly to me but after some time it got better and I made some foreign friends who were good to me and were very supportive and friendly. I did not experience any major cultural shift except for the standard of living in England.

Experience beyond your thinking
Tips: My confidence has increased after studying and interacting with different cross-cultural students and faculty members at the University. I think almost everyone who got good grades in high school or Bachelor got a reasonable scholarship from this university. My satisfaction is above average with regard to the University course and country.
Likes (Safety): If you live in the main city center, then you have to pay more but there are no safety issues apart from the other areas such as Hyde Park, Harehills, and Bradford which are not so safe for anyone. I live nearby Headingley Stadium which is one of the safest places in Leeds.
Dislikes (Value for money): MBA, if I did it in India from one of the top colleges or even above-average colleges, it would cost me around 15 Lacs or more. Over here, my fee was 12.5 Lacs which was way better than Indian colleges and the exposure you get was an exceptional one. After completing your course, you can repay your education loan without any delay which is not easy in India.

I feel great that i am a part of this university.
Tips: I think that you will learn different cultures as most of the students here are from different countries. And yes they offer different kind of scholarships you should check your eligibility on their website and apply according and I am truly satisfied with my course.
Likes (Part time work): University offers many part time roles in university and even some full time roles for student with sponsorship and yes they help in getting part time jobs off campus also. You can easily manage your part time work along with your studies and you will pe paid according to minimum wages declared by government.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because you will get only 2 year post study work permit after completing your studies other options are available like sponsorship from any organisation but university will not help you in getting these options you have to look for them by yourself only.

Good and supportive people
Tips: Students coming here should know how to prepare for the exams. And it is also important to know how to behave in class because a lot of international students are there from different countries. Also, try to understand the British accent as soon as possible otherwise it will be more difficult to understand.
Likes (Internships): I did not choose any internship programme. But a lot of my classmates did and they said that doing an internship was helpful after finishing the course. Most of the students are grateful for doing an internship.
Dislikes (Part time work): I got a lot of options for part-time work. But the problem was time management. As it is hard to manage work with classes cause the time clashes. However, I am getting a lot of calls for work opportunities.

Go for it, it’s a great experience!
Tips: Students should be open to communication with people from all backgrounds and not be stuck in their comfort zone while being here. And most importantly plan their move months in advance and not make it an impulsive decision. It takes a while to get used to so don't expect to seamlessly assimilate here.
Likes (Value for money): The cost of the course is a bit higher than most undergraduate courses. But the return on investment is generally higher for MBA courses. I also got a scholarship which made my life a bit easier given that studying abroad can become very expensive especially when you don't have time to work.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Leeds has not many transportation options, as there is no tram line like Manchester and Ubers can be expensive. The bus prices are increasing very frequently and the train station is only in the city centre and Burley and you may have to walk quite a bit for it.

Average University, beautiful campus
Tips: I got a scholarship of 32000. There is a cultural shift because UK is not our home country. Don't expect that you will land a job immediately after Masters. You should have prior knowledge of your field before Masters. Minimum professional experience is mandatory.
Likes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are just for name sake, as it is less than 20%. Off-campus opportunities are average, good to have your own vehicle for work so that you can opt for warehouse jobs. 20 hours a week is manageable without getting our studies hampered. Payout on NI job is about 310 on average.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food outside is the worst. You won't be able to get South Indian options, and not worth the price at all. I always prefer cooking at home. A lot of Pakistanis sell food in the name of Indian food. Indian grocery is limited and expensive. Other region food options are good.

Friendly and experienced lectures
Tips: The best aspect of living on campus is the convenience. Its easy to attend classes and scheduled events. There are many facilities we get from campus such as library, gym and sports area. In terms of food especially Indian food, it is quite expensive.
Likes (Internships): There are multiple reasons why Internships are good here, the first being the training we receive from the university. Tutors are ready to respond at all times. Campus has good academics and values. In the university, we have a well being centre for students to help them with mental stress.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Location of the college is the best. Have good facilities like buses, friendly lectures, tutors with good academic skills. Both campuses are located in the city with good transportation system. Studnet life is designed well. College is value for money, safe and best to do part time work.

Best university to do your post graduation. The faculty are friendly and understanding.
Tips: Leeds is a vibrant and exciting city and the people are very friendly. The city has a lot to offer, and I enjoy exploring all that it has to offer. I also really like the university community. I feel like I am really part of a community here. The professors are very cooperative and helpful and I was able to get a scholarship which covered most of my expenses. I am very grateful for the opportunity to study here.

The college is value for money
Tips: Well, this is an average college. Studying here is decent although finding part-time job is quite hard in Leeds sometimes you find a job but getting hours from them is a real struggle. Despite that faculty of Beckett is very friendly they take local and international lectures together. For local they hire local teachers and for international, they do the same.
