Look out for scholarships.
Tips: A very inclusive university and very inclusive students made my transition very easy after coming here. I met the students at the university with whom I made friends. They were very exclusive and I got to know about the university and London during my initial days. I availed a scholarship of 6000, which was very crucial in deciding my college.
Likes (Student Life): The university has more than 50 clubs which makes it student friendly and lively university. These clubs are very inclusive and host events every week for their members. There is an Indian society as well for the Indian students. All the Indian festivals are also celebrated inside the campus, whether it's Holi, Eid, Diwali, or Lohri.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting part-time jobs is not easy, as it sounds, there is a lot of competition for part-time jobs. London has the most number of opportunities when it comes to part-time jobs compared to other cities in the United Kingdom. If you are resilient and regular in applying for jobs online and visiting the stores in person as well, then you should get the part-time job minimum for 12.21 per hour and a student can work only 20 hours per week.

Unpredictable weather, but excellent and predictable degree outcome.
Tips: Transition to London was challenging during the initial days. I had to adapt to the weather. The weather here is unpredictable. It's raining and it's sunny the next moment, so you have to be prepared for every type of weather in London, whether you prefer shoes and jackets. I have received a scholarship of 4000. I am satisfied with my country and course.
Likes (Indian Food): Special Indian food availability in London is awesome. There is every food option that is available here whether it's North Indian, South Indian or West Indian. Every food option is available here, especially in areas like South Hall, Hounslow and Wembley. I cook myself but on the weekends, I go out with my friends and have lunch or dinner with them.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because of the current situation and the recession period that the UK is going through, the UK government has introduce few laws that have restricted immigrants from settling here. They have reduced the PSW tenure from 24 months to 18 months, they have increased the permanent settlement through the ILR route by 10 years, which was earlier five years. If given a chance, I would definitely settle in this country.

Great country and one of the best universities.
Tips: Brunel University is a hub of sports and athletic centres. It is one of the best universities to Offer high class athletic Centres. When I first came here, I was awestruck by seeing the lively campus of the university. Transition was quite smooth. I did avail a scholarship of 6000. I am satisfied with my university.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration settlement options here in London, although they have worsened according to a few but compared to India, it is easy to get a job here. If you try and do not care about the failure. If you keep on trying and keep on applying without considering how much rejection you have got, one day get a job. If given a chance, I would definitely settle in this country.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation in London is well connected and well established offering trains, underground, overground, and National Railways, buses and ramps. Students can get a weekly or monthly travel pass, which makes the expensive London public transportation affordable to students. Students can avail it by buying a student Oyster card otherwise, London transport is very expensive.

Be mentally prepared and open to challenges.
Tips: Students should know that it is going to be a little difficult in here because you have to go through a lot of immigration changes and lifestyle changes and a major cultural shift and you cannot expect anything from anyone. You have to take care of yourself, even if you are not in good health, so mental preparation is the biggest thing that a student should have before coming to the country. Every day immigration rules are changed by the UK government. This makes our future in the country very unpredictable and also not trustworthy. Even if we get sponsored, it is not certain that we will be able to stay here forever during the changing rules. I would be happy to permanently immigrate to this country but considering the changing rules, I would rather go to a country where the immigration laws are less strict.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is very good. I spend my day studying doing certain activities going to the gym and sometimes managing the day with my part-time job, so I have joined certain clubs in my university. I have joined the Banking club, the tennis club and the football club as well. And they have almost 10 to 20 events every month.

Good Indian food and friendly community.
Tips: The transition was a major one. I started to cook by myself. I started to do the dishes for myself. I started to wash my own clothes. It was a major life changing experience that taught me a lot of things. I met every kind of person in a year, which itself also taught me a lot of new things. Talking with people of different cultures, knowing about their country is knowing about the practices they follow is quite interesting. I got a scholarship of 5000 on a merit basis as I scored the minimum criteria which is required for this scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the university and the course that I am doing but the country that I expected the UK to be is not the same anymore.
Dislikes (Safety): I came across many cases near my area of crime, stabbing, mugging and snatching phones, so I really feel scared of going out at night from my house. Other than that we are just depending on the police for safety. Apart from calling the police we don't have any other facility as a student.

Sorted campus and highly academic.
Tips: Before joining, know that Brunel is a quiet Zone 6 campus; success requires proactive networking. Transitioning from India involved a major cultural shift, from rote learning to critical application. I secured the 3,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship based on my undergraduate merit, which was a helpful tuition waiver. I am highly satisfied with the practical M.Sc. Management course and the UK's career ecosystem, though the high cost of living and competitive job market demand resilience.

Eventful university with lots of on-campus accommodation.
Tips: I opted for on-campus accommodation at Brunel University. The campus accommodation is within the campus and the study hall is just a few metres away or a few minutes away from my accommodation. As soon as I came here, I made new friends. Here, some of them were international and many of them were Indian and I started spending time with them, so this is how my transition phase went. I got the scholarship of 5000.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Brunel University is very happening and amazing. I enjoy my time roaming with friends. I would often go to Civic Centre in Uxbridge and hill with my friends. Apart from that University campus is very happening during the weekend and you never get bored. Any type of party and events are organised within the universities every Wednesday, there is a party organised by the Student Union.

Diverse and impactful teaching.
Tips: I came here as a student who has never lived without his family. I was dependent on my parents for everything, but after coming here, I started working part-time jobs and found myself to be an independent person which was really motivating for my self-confidence. I did receive a scholarship of 6000. That was a Vice Chancellor scholarship. I am completely satisfied with my course content.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty quality at Brunel University is top notch. They are experienced professionals who have brilliant knowledge of their subjects and the methodology used by them is so interactive. It's very engaging for every student in the class. There are diverse ethnic professors who teach at Brunel.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because of the current situation, not a lot of jobs can be fetched by international students and without jobs, it's not possible to settle in here. The UK itself is fighting against illegal immigration. There are a lot of illegal immigrants in all the cities with good jobs. I would definitely like to settle in here but considering the current scenarios, I don't think that I'll take that call.

Scholarships make it an affordable and inevitable choice.
Tips: Brunel University is a multidimensional university and is academically reputable and value for money. I received a scholarship of 6000 which was given based on my marks in graduation. I am satisfied with my university. Great experiences.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in London is well-connected and trains, underground trains and railways are available. You can get a train to Paris from London. Paris is 2.5 hours away by train from London. Transport is on the only expensive side.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs are honestly speaking limited. Only two students per year are selected so competition is really high. This is where the real struggle starts not that easy unless you are talented and lucky.

A rewarding student experience.
Tips: There are a lot of things students should know before joining the college like the college location, the accommodation distance and the course duration. Students should be prepared for fast paced environment and self learning. I have faced a transition after coming here. I didn't get any scholarship.
I am well satisfied with my university, course and country.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee of the course is justified because we get international exposure with modern technology. During and after the completion of the course the university assigned the career services for all the students who need guidance regarding their career and course for future job opportunities.
Dislikes (Safety): Apart from campus security there are a lot of facilities like security at accommodation, light and camera at every place but at night, students need to be careful because of pickpockets. In busy areas or during daylight, everything is fine but at night students face this issue.

A lovely campus on the outskirts of London.
Tips: Brunel University is a multidimensional university with the best sports culture, one of the main universities in London.
Transition was quite smooth when I came here. I loved the ambience around the university. I received a scholarship of 4000. That was based upon my marks during graduation.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very well established and very well connected. There are different modes of transportation data. There are train and there are buses. There are different times for buses. The bus charge is 1.75.
Dislikes (Safety): Heard about safety worries in London especially from new students and was told not to walk alone at night because of all the incidents even the recent ones. Those things have made me kind of hesitant to walk around alone in the city. Phone theft is super common and you even hear about it on the streets. Watch out for pickpockets, too.

The public transportation is good for commuting to Brunel University.
Tips: My transition was kind of very smooth coming to Brunel University. When should be prepared for an open kind of environment with lots of greenery and everything, the university is peaceful with beautiful scenic views. I did avail this scholarship of 6000. This is called the Vice Chancellor scholarship, so the fee became a lot more affordable for me.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is good for commuting to Brunel University. Use the Metropolitan line and then just exiting the station there is a bus station from where I go to Bru University. Have a three bus stop actually. The only downside I feel about the public transport is that it is expensive.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration option currently in United Kingdom seems to be difficult as the country itself is fighting with illegal immigration. Tips: Students should be prepared for fast paced academic environment with a focus on self learning. The cost of living is high so budgeting in advance is essential. I did not avail a scholarship. I am satisfied with my university, the quality of education and the international exposure the course provides.
Likes (Part time work): There are tons of job opportunities in the city for students in all sorts of fields. Jobs are easy to find on campus roles like library helper, student rep, office assistant, and IT support are super common and perfect for students. Part-time work is totally doable with school, and most places are chill about student schedules. Pay is usually between 12.21 and 13 an hour.
Dislikes (Safety): I rated 3 stars because generally it feels safe during the day and in busy areas but the same places can feel less secure at night. There are a lot of incident happened occasionally like pickpocketing or anti social behavior which mean we need to stay alert.

Friendly, safe and secure campus.
Tips: Before joining Bruno University, London students should know it's academically demanding and very self driven. The transition was smooth, but the agriculture is more independent and formal than expected and participation and self innovative matters. I didn't have a scholarship, but through my best efforts, discounts were available. I am satisfied with the university, my course, and the UK for quality education and exposure.

Fun loving and value for money.
Tips: I was quite stressed before coming here in London with the familiar environment and loving people in the university made me feel comfortable, especially the student ambassadors who were very helpful during the initial settlement days. I did avail 6000 in scholarship, which is known as the vice chancellor scholarship, so it became quite a value for money deal for me to join Brunel University, London.
Likes (Public transportation): Connectivity throughout London is really great. The blue university has three bus stops that cover the campus. The bridge station has metropolitan line connectivity, which connects the central London Bridge of connectivity quite well. Also, Heathrow Airport is just 20 minutes away from the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job while staying at Brunel University is quite difficult because there are not many jobs and the hiring crowd is on the colder side throughout the year. So you need to do real hard work to get a part-time job. University portals, part-time jobs, the training are helpful. Average payout is 12.21 per hour.

Balanced growth, strong support with room to improve.
Tips: Programme structure is rigorous but rewarding; workload can be heavy in core terms. Campus resources are strong like the library, career centre, counselling but some services have long wait times. Housing options vary by department; apply early and check visa/tuition requirements if you're international. Caring into a new city can be overwhelming at first, but peer groups and orientation events helped a lot. Cultural differences mainly involve communication style and time management expectations.
Likes (Safety): The campus feels very secure with a visible security presence well-lit areas and quick response times. Low crime rates in the area and a strong sense of community trust. The university will not provide any support for internships.
Tips: A lot of cultural shifts happen but it's not related to college, I say. It depends on who you are living with after coming here. I have got a 5000 scholarship for the total tuition fees because of my graduation percentage. So if you have a good percentage in graduation, worth asking the university for any support. I am satisfied with my university very well but not with the country. Long-term settlement is not so good in this country.
Likes (Indian Food): Plenty of Indian restaurants and international cuisines are there. It completely depends on the individual and their working patterns. If they can manage, they should cook or else if you want to eat out, you have plenty of options available.
Dislikes (Internships): The university will not provide any support for internships like in India, here we have to do everything on our own. You need to find on your own and there will be a tri-party agreement among the university, the student and the company. Also it's not worth doing a placement course in the UK.

The college is great and offers variety of courses and the campus is the best.
Tips: If you want to go to a university with a good campus, then the University of Essex is the place to go. Some of the courses they offer are not as good as others, so choose your course based on the ranking. The university ranks well for students with a math background, but they offer a variety of courses with slightly different modules, so choose the course that is right for you. I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe walking to the university even though it was a bit of a distance from the city. The surroundings were good and secure and I never felt unsafe. It was convenient to travel there but it was still safe to travel.
Dislikes (Value for money): Even after getting the scholarship the quality of education for a particular course was not that good. Some of the professors weren't as good as expected and the college only lasted for 6 months. After that you would have to work on your major project from home.

Tips: It is a good university if you’re looking for a budget, ranking and amenities for computer science department. This university is located a bit far away from London which makes it bit hard to travel around in UK. But this gives you the advantage of living on a budget.
Likes (Student Life): This university gives good study exposure, entertainment and affordability in living as it is located a bit far away from the city. As a student, it’s your job to make sure that you make the best out of it by studying and keeping yourself updated for the assignments.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time work in the university is easy to get but you get only a few hours of work. Hence, you may need to find more part time jobs to support yourself. This I guess is the same for all the universities around. This can be easily compensated by finding a job outside the campus.

Campus and faculty are great at University Of Essex
Tips: Campus and faculty are great. Might have to struggle a bit for relevant work experience so if you can ride that out financially, it’s a good experience. The city is great. Limited options when it comes to hanging out but you can always go to London which isn’t far.
Likes (Indian Food): Plenty of food options in the city and online for Indian/South Asian food. Good takeaway options as well. Might help to learn cooking though as delivery fees are a lot and not something I was used to paying. Other than that, plenty of choices for both Indian and other cuisines.
Dislikes (Part time work): It’s slightly difficult to find part time work relevant to my course (MBA) in Colchester as there’s not much work here. So, the part time options are restaurants or call centers, etc. If you get online, you might find work elsewhere around but you’ll have to spend on transportation then.

For sure, it is a brand. You have to decide what you want from the University.
Tips: I would say, please participate in all the activities that come your way. Also, the academic curriculum is a blend of remote classes and physical classes. It is also very important to do a lot of self study so that you can improve your base. There's a very big library and a study center with computers, use that as much as you can.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is good. There's a very active student union that brings in new events every now and then. Plenty of societies to join and a good campus with loads of facilities. Facilities include a gym, sports center and a huge campus with greenery. There are a couple of restaurants and takeaways too. There are also other shops for daily needs within the campus.
Dislikes (Internships): I have done a masters degree. So, we did not have enough time to do an internship. University does not help much in getting an internship. However, there are websites called careerhub and gradintel wherein even alumni can have access and look for internships and jobs, including part time jobs.

Good academics and friendly campus.
Tips: I believe what students should really prepare themselves for before going to university is the curriculum. You should have the habit of writing. We'll have to take coursework of usually 3000-5000 words so mugging up won't really help you. You need to learn to express yourself.
Likes (Public transportation): Colchester is a beautiful town and the buses ply through the university campus and there are bus passes which have a student discount.
The frequency of buses going to the main city centre is actually great.
I recommend getting the annual pass to the city centre as it saves a lot.
If you are travelling elsewhere you can purchase a separate ticket but you'll end up saving a lot till the city centre.
Dislikes (Internships): Looking for an internship totally depends on the student. One should ideally plan the intership hours based on the class timings. Plan your days and provide a schedule to your intership provider for complete clarity. You will not want to miss your classes and at the same time not miss the internship hours.

Good course content and helpful faculty.
Tips: I had a scholarship for my master's and I could easily blend in the environment, everyone is so helpful around the campus especially the faculty also there to guide you. My course was brilliant and I love the way it was curated. I was very satisfied with my uni because it has so many other facilities and support.
Likes (Public transportation): It is because the bus service is very convenient and punctual and also you can track your buses on the application. Every bus goes through the uni which makes it more approachable and easy to travel. I paid around 150 pounds for a year altogether and I got a student discount as well and received a bus pass. Also, you get a student ID with which you can get a student discount around the city.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is because the sponsorship route has become more challenging and difficult to achieve and not every company is willing to provide sponsorship to a mere graduate without a decent experience. mostly IT, Software engineering and healthcare sector and also care homes they are offering sponsorship, mostly according to my research.

Very vibrant and fun student life.
Tips: It is a good learning experience. I would advise trying to make the best of opportunities from the start. There was a transition in terms of lifestyle, classroom experience, weather, and overall culture. I received a £5000 scholarship based on merit. Satisfied with my course, but I believe there could be more feedback from lecturers and support for career opportunities.

The new chapter away from home.
Tips: Shifting here made me more independent and responsible. There was a cultural shift, it was for the good, as it was so refreshing to interact with people from different backgrounds. I am extremely satisfied, I do miss my country sometimes but here I feel at home too.
Likes (Safety): There is always a police presence on campus, and at night the streets are well-lit. Also, there are CCTV cameras throughout the city. On my first day, I got lost but a stranger not only showed me around but also bought me a coffee.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food is nice and affordable. However, there are not many options for international students. There are at least two Indian restaurants, one of which is very affordable. I usually cook for myself, but going out to eat occasionally is nice.
