BA (Hons) in New Media Studies - Batch of 2027
3.3
Vibrant and diverse social life.
Tips: The college is very inclusive and after it was just renovated, it's very modern. There is a range of courses for the college and good options for societies and some sports. The new canteen is good for food but can be a bit expensive at times.
Likes (Indian Food): There is a big range of food options in the surrounding towns and cities and there are good ordering online options for takeaway/delivery, etc. I tend to order food more than make food as it's easier and I am busy balancing both college and work, but there are shops with affordable options aswell if you want to cook yourself.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are no available options for part time work on the campus. It has to be found outside of the campus. Part time work is usually 30 hours a week on top of 4 day college weeks so it can be hard to manage depending on which course you choose.

A demanding course with strong academic and professional value
Tips: Race yourself for the workload at AgroParisTech. It's a Grande École, so the sheer volume of lab work, technical projects, and lectures catches a lot of people off guard. Moving to France brings a real adjustment period—especially wrestling with French administration like CAF, CROUS, and residence permits. It takes a couple of months to settle in. Finance-wise, double-check your track's costs early. My program had zero tuition fees, but living around the Paris-Saclay campus isn't cheap, so you need a realistic monthly budget. The research exposure and academic depth here are top-tier. Just come ready to manage your time aggressively from day one.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work gets a low rating purely because of time. The AgroParisTech schedule is brutal—one of the professors even warned us during the selection interview that working alongside this degree was virtually impossible. A few on-campus jobs exist, but they're mostly basic maintenance or cleaning gigs rather than research or academic roles. Between heavy lab hours, lectures, and group projects, holding down a job just isn't realistic if you want to keep up with coursework.
