M.Sc Data Science with Placement Year - Batch of 2025
4.3
Good exposure and strong academics.
Tips: The majority of the study should be done yourself. Modules are way to pass one you get the pattern but that knowledge alone isn't enough to get jobs. The practical experience of working on projects is good and getting in touch with any of the professors would help later for recommendations purpose.
Likes (Value for money): The fees for the university are less for Master's courses compared to Russell group universities but the faculty is amazing and you get enough opportunities for exposure. The university is also student oriented so any issues are quickly resolve and most of the time spent there was free of stress.
Dislikes (Part time work): The average payout is a minimum wage of 12 pounds but opportunities are less. As Hatfield is a small place and not many part times jobs are available. The majority of people worked in London or Luton but commute there and Hatfield takes time and money so not worth it.

Helpful faculty and friendly staff.
Tips: Before joining this college, I felt a little bit nervous but after a few days I felt comfortable. Our university provided scholarships by using the Blackbullion website, we will get more than 500 pounds per year until our course is completed. I am very satisfied with my university, course and this country because they taught me a life like how to face problems, how to handle situations, and moreover how to survive in this world without anyone's help. Those who are planning to go abroad just remember one thing - simply don't trust anyone blindly. Learn yourself, then only you will understand our parents hardwork.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Not only I but many students who have recently graduated are facing immigration challenges. I am presently on a PSW visa and have attended several interviews. I was unsuccessful due to visa related reasons. Nowadays many companies are not willing to provide visa sponsorship for immigrants.

University is quite supportive and also they award your skills and your knowledge.
Tips: Get work experience before going for Master's degree. For students who are coming for Master's just as soon as they complete a Bachelor's degree without any sort of work experience will be hard to get a job. This is not just for the university that I went to but also in general, pretty much any university.

The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, although there is room for more industry exposure.
Tips: There is no need for a cultural adjustment, as the majority of students are Indian and Asian. If you're looking to experience a new culture, it may be challenging in the UK, as you will mostly see familiar faces. Also, job opportunities after graduation are scarce.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, although there is room for more industry exposure. They are approachable and open to discussions. Teaching methods include case studies, projects, and interactive approaches. The faculty has a moderate level of international diversity.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very costly, especially train travel. The cost makes it difficult for international students to afford, given the exchange rate. Additionally, some areas lack public transportation facilities, making travel challenging.

The university is worth every penny.
Tips: If the university offers placement courses try to choose a placement based course so you can stay in school longer. Since every course is different and you can find the same course name with different focuses, make sure you choose the best fit for you. I would suggest that you do your homework and look at the curriculum before signing up for anything. You will have one more year as a student which means you have more time to participate in school functions and to enjoy the student life and environment.

The college is really nice and the faculty are very helpful.
Tips: The first few months are difficult, but then you get used to life socially. It is a bit difficult if you come in winter as the daylight is low and it's very quiet outside. You may feel depressed sometimes, but summers are really good, and you will love it. There is only one Indian restaurant among all the English restaurants in the area. However, there are good food options in Edgware and Watford, which are easily accessible by public transportation. St. Albans is another good option, but it is a bit more expensive. Eventually, you will get used to eating English food. I am satisfied with the country.
Likes (Part time work): You can find part-time jobs easily in local social warehouses. When you come to London you should have a good CV. You can get a part-time job in a warehouse and the DHL warehouse is a good option.

Tips: The university has an excellent program for students. The teachers take very good care of the students. The staff members are always very helpful, caring, and supportive. My teachers always give students personal attention, so everyone is always clear about their work. I never got bored or homesick while attending the University of Hertfordshire. The campus is huge and there are lots of activities to do. The university provides all the resources you need to feel at home, happy, and safe. I'm very happy with my university. Good academics but high cost and limited job support.
Tips: Students should know that the college offers good academics but limited career support and high living costs here involve adapting to a diverse culture and a more independent lifestyle. I didn't get a scholarship. Overall, I am satisfied with the university and course but the high expenses and the job market competitiveness in the country can be challenging.
Likes (Post study jobs): There are good post-study job appointments, but limited sponsorship options. Around 2030, most sponsored jobs are junior positions with a salary package of around 30,000 Pounds, depending on the industry.
Dislikes (Value for money): The education quality as decent, but the tuition fee is a bit high compared to the facilities and resources provided. More practical exposure and Oregon update resources would better justify the cost for the overall learning experience.

Value for money and peaceful
Tips: Expect only Asian and South African students in the class don't expect white people to be there. Classes are different and the college feels like we are in India because most of them are Indians. Save some money like 2000 atleast and don't keep expectation that you will get a part time job right after coming here and also learn driving before coming to the UK.
Likes (Value for money): Low feels good standards people are good and they won't force you to pay the feels and you can pay in monthly instalments as well so student friendly. You will get an attempt to the failed exams. In UK your college doesn't matter only your skills will.
Dislikes (Internships): There are people to guide you in every step from cv making and consulting about career. If you have the right skills it's easy to get a job here. Do online courses as much as you can and add up to your cv. Degree is only useful if you have skills you can work in any field in the UK.

Easy to access from London to university of Hertfordshire via king cross.
Tips: I didn't avail any kind of scholarship. There is always a cultural shift. When you travel from one country to another. I'm happy with my university and the course. On a scale of 5 I would rate 3.5. When you ask me about the country it's a beautiful country.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is 45 minutes from the city. You can get halfway from campus to the city by university bus and then use national rail. It's a bit expensive when it comes to travelling from campus to the city would be around 12 two-way if I'm not wrong. Public transportation in the city is cheap.
Dislikes (Internships): You get good guidance finding internships. They help you in and out how to prepare a CV as well. In every other university, they have it on their website or an app where you can find jobs related to your field. But getting an internship, in your respective field is hard.

Delivering high quality education.
Tips: This college is ranked among top University in the UK. So, students should know some important things before joining the college. They should take counselling for the process of admission and other necessity for coming here. The diversity is good here so it won't be a problematic thing for the Indian students. You should gather the latest data about scholarships and acceptance rates for international students. I am truly satisfied with the University, course and country.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): If I had to settled permanent here in the UK there are many options for me. As an Indian, we get work visas from companies. They sponsor visas and as long I am working there, the settlement problems are low. If you want to apply for permanent residence you can check the requirements as every year the data changes. But, the longer migrants stay here, the more likely they are to have acquired settlement. I would like to permanently immigrate to this country if given a chance.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The post study jobs at the University of Hertfordshire are quite good in numbers. Many big companies like Barclays, EY, HSBC, McKinsey & Company and others offer sponsor visas. Teach Giants offers visas to Indian students. The roles and packages vary from low to high according to market demands. It's a great place for further studies for aspiring Indian students.

Tips: Most of the students are from India and Nigeria so if you are looking for international exposure in your course then you are most unlikely to have it. But you will get many opportunities through events and societies to mingle with others and broaden your network.
Likes (Public transportation): From university to anywhere you have various buses available and to go to London you have a train option which is really convenient. It's not far from London so you can explore the city whenever you want to. And also you can travel to nearby places for jobs and other stuff.
Dislikes (Internships): University has a different department for internships and the entire team will guide you if you need any guidance or help. The quality of the education is moderate
Tips: The students have to be financially strong to live in a country like UK. There is a cultural shift because we have to adopt new traditions to the situations here. The university provided a bursary but still I face a few issues making arranging for the monthly expenses.
Likes (Indian Food): There are very less stores available In the location so we get fewer original food. We are unable to get the food items that we need and face issues with the food we cook or getting orders online. But still, you can manage if you love to eat non-veg.
Dislikes (Value for money): The university is focused on providing the basic needs. There is no deeper knowledge provided on the subject and no other well-being sessions are taken care of. The quality of the education is moderate and requires more attention towards the teaching and facilities .

Faculties and study will match your high expectation.
Tips: If students want to shop and site seeing on a frequent basis, then don't choose this university, as I hear a lot of students complaining the same. London may be just 30 mins away from here, but the expensive tickets would make you think twice before moving out of the city frequently. Talking about the studies and the faculties, you can keep high expectation since the tuition fee and off-campus accommodation is more affordable compared to other colleges in London. One thing to note after applying, do not apply BRP receiving at university address, always chose to collect it from the post office. Local post shall deliver it to you within a few days. University may take up to a month to sort and issue the BRP to the students.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportations are pretty expensive here. It's always better to walk or buy a cycle. It takes a passenger to pay first and then move to the seating area, which makes it pretty frustrating when there's a long queue to board the bus. But we have no other choice other than opt for public transport to cover long distances.

Great campus including all the facilities with inbuilt accomodation.
Tips: The learning and resource center at both college lane and dehav campus is enormous. Big enough to fit 700/ 1000 students in one library. All the resources essential for course will be present either in digital format or hard print. Access to multiple websites for research purposes. Also handshake which is job portal for university remains active for a certain period of time. Also you can refer to previous study lectures on canvas. The options for multi Indian food items are available in town center however a bit pricey in comparison to India. Basketball court, football and gym activities are present in university campus itself. Also at the same time restaurants and internal entertainment dance floor are available to unwind.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The professors were really helpful in the formation of structured program. The online/offline module was well reached, assignment were R&D based where students will try the approach of open book and get the optimized solutions. Also, the hybrid combination of online exams was present during my course work. The recorded lecture is useful for doubt solving in future revisions.
Dislikes (Internships): I personally did not choose a placement course. However, a few of my friends from A.I/Data Science background who opted for a placement course were unable to secure an internship during the placement year. Possibly the post covid effects are the concern.

Good faculty and college.
Tips: Remember to get warm clothes, more than you think you need. Sometimes cold spells and Arctic waves happen in the winter and buying clothes may be more expensive than usual. Ensure that you have a thorough idea of finances and how you will manage them. You may not get a job immediately based on what the market is like that year. Make sure that you keep safe at parties and Fresher's, and only take part in activities you are comfortable with. If you aren't comfortable with drinking/smoking/vaping, make sure you communicate that clearly and don't feel like you have to do that to fit in. Almost everyone is very understanding and would never bully or judge you for these choices. My scholarship was about 2000 off my tuition fees and it was quite easy to avail after my UCAS application. There are also individual stream-specific merit based scholarships available at the start of your 2nd year. There are quite a lot of Indian students on campus and many Indian societies to be part of, so you won't be alone for sure. The course has been what I expected and I'm loving it so far.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Teaching faculties are not only helpful but also available to meet and solve issues. There are drop in hours and the academic skills teams are also quite helpful. As long as you are focused, there is a lot of help to stay on top of work, assignments and projects. There are also quite a lot of group projects which help you build corporate skills and also make friends. Also, engineering infrastructure eg wind tunnels, is well maintained.

Personal and academic growth.
Tips: The cultural Shifts in Germany are mostly emotional and physical. The weather, food and language are some things that took time for me. I have not applied for any scholarships but the University offers different types of Scholarships that students can apply for. Getting the scholarship does not totally depend on academics but also on extracurricular activities and volunteer work. To be honest, I got much interest in education after joining my University and the course. I learnt a lot from writing the paper to learning Soft Skills from fellow students and professors. Through the systems in my University, it has really developed a thirst inside me to be more educated and be in a better position.
Dislikes (Internships): Stuttgart has diverse Industries. Home to Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Bosch, etc and because of these big players many industries have evolved and developed in the State, creating more opportunities and making the most of the research for Germany. Theory and research-oriented study program.
Tips: In Germany, there is a division when it comes to higher education - 'University' and 'University of applied sciences'. University focuses more on research and university of applied sciences focus on applied knowledge. Since Stuttgart is a University, it is more theoretical. It is completely in our responsibility to gain experience through clubs, Formula Student or similar things. So it might be stressful, but it is manageable.
Likes (Safety): Germany is generally safe compared to other European countries. Immediate help on and off campus from mentors and tutors. It is easy to get help even from the police or the general public in case of emergencies. There are lots of international affairs people in the university or general coordinators who make sure students feel safe on campus.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are extremely scarce to find. Also the competition is higher. The pay is relatively very low compared to off campus part time jobs. Since International students who already pay large tuition fee, they won't be choosing on campus jobs unless they are really desperate for a part time job.

Tips: This is a university oriented towards research. Good mathematical skills are expected. There will be some cultural differences in lectures but that will be on the positive side. I did not apply for any scholarships. However, you can look for DAAD scholarships. I liked the course, teaching material and especially the professors.
Likes (Safety): The city is very well connected through public transport via the university campus. I have lived there for 3 years and never heard a concern about safety. You could see police patrolling every in the campus at night sometimes. There are many helpline numbers for emergencies. However it is always advised not to travel alone in secluded areas which is a general advice valid for every place. There is not much of a nightlife in the city, so there is not much you could do during the dark hours.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market is pretty bad at the moment. Moreover, even with good German language skills the opportunities are too less. Work sponsorship is not needed. You just need to find a job with a minimum salary range then you can get the EU blue card which is a work permit. Generally, after graduation, you can get into a PhD programme, of course you will have a stipend which is approximately 55,000. So it is pretty decent. Apart from this you can work in the industry with an average salary of 60,000 however, it is difficult to find one at the moment. Internships are easy to get but a full-time job is hard.

Challenging but rewarding journey at University of Stuttgart.
Tips: Students should be prepared for a rigorous, mathematically intensive programme. COMMAS is research driven, so self study and good fundamental knowledge in mathematics and programming are important though not necessary. Administrative processes in Germany can be slow, so patience and planning are essential.
Likes (Safety): Student residences have controlled entry systems. I have always felt safe moving around Stuttgart even when it's midnight. The police presence is consistent even when it's too late. The city is generally calm, well organised. I have never had any negative experience so far.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teaching is highly theoretical and research oriented. The faculty is not very diverse in nationality. They are often very busy with research and projects. Some professors use advanced simulation examples, which is a unique strength. Getting quick response from the professors can sometimes be difficult.

Academically oriented university with good opportunities.
Tips: It's important to research about the course that one is taking. For the Electrical Engineering Master's, a few courses are difficult. It's important to choose a subject that interests you. It's always good to get an opinion about each subject from any senior students before writing the exam. Once you write an exam, it's not possible to register for that subject.
Likes (Part time work): There are good Indian restaurants in the city, but not many options when it comes to South Indian food. There are Sri-lankan restaurants, which do provide good south Indian food as well. Mostly, students cook for themselves as dining out is not an affordable option.

The university is good and friendly.
Tips: Sometimes there are cultural socks but it is a matter of time as time passes, it becomes adaptable. There are scholarships like Deutschlandstipendium which offer 300 euros per month as a scholarship. It's a research university, so if you want to do research, it is good for you.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is efficient as most people use bus and trains rather than their private vehicles. Students are not offered a city ticket but you need to buy a monthly ticket from the German train authority but it costs 40 euros per month only.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Generally, the market is not good right now otherwise, in a normal scenario placements are good. The job roles vary from design to development to project management. The package goes for a fresher from 50,000 euros per year to 65,000 euros and for an experienced a bit higher than this.

My honest take on studying in Stuttgart.
Tips: Well, students should know that Stuttgart is a big city and you might feel a bit lost in the beginning. If you are someone who likes European architecture and buildings, I will have to disappoint you because Stuttgart is not the most beautiful city when it comes to architecture. They do have a lot of industrial opportunities which also comes with a lot of competition from other international students. Unfortunately you also won't have the most international environment in your classes if you decide to pursue engineering here because mostly there are Indians so you might have to put yourself more out there for sports and extra curricular activities so that you can interact with more international people. We do have a lot of nature spots here. If you like nature and forest and hiking, you might like it here, especially on the Vaihingen campus at the University of Stuttgart.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty here is highly qualified and they have themselves studied from the world's best institutions. They are quite passionate at what they do. The research institutes also offer a wide range of thesis topics which can be pursued in order to fulfil your areas of expertise in the course of your Masters studies.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of permanent settling in the city of Stuttgart are less because the Visa office has really long waiting days. If you need to switch your visa from student to job seeker or a full time employee, it is a very overwhelming process. You could work in Stuttgart but it is highly recommended to shift to nearby cities in order to have smooth paperwork regarding the bureaucracy.

Stuttgart city and TU Stuttgart experience.
Tips: The Stuttgart city is not like a typical European city, which someone would expect, but it has decent leisure options. You would probably meet more people from different parts of India itself. You need to put in effort to make friends with people outside your country. Few people also have the opportunity to get the Deutschlandstipendium which gives you a scholarship of 300 euros per month for a year. The university staff is responsive, and local people are helpful as well.
Likes (Public transportation): The S-Bahn stop is right at the center of the University, and not just that, even the bus stop is directly in front. Once you have the Deutschlandticket, the connectivity is great. You can get to the main station in around 15 minutes, and have a lot of other options to go to like parks, shopping centres.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are quite a few Indian restaurants around, which are decent, and you could go there once in a while. On average, the cost per person at a restaurant is at least 15 euros, and as a student, it is a bit on the higher side for a one time meal. Once you know how to cook, you would not prefer spending so much money for just one meal.

A perfect blend of academia and industry.
Tips: The academic transition was very drastic when I arrived in Germany. My Bachelor's at Savitribai Phule Pune University had a simple, straightforward curriculum and exam pattern, so it was initially difficult to adjust to the concept based lectures and exams at Stuttgart. I didn't apply for scholarships interested candidates can find information online. I am completely satisfied with my university and course. As a technical university, Stuttgart offers complete freedom in choosing courses and electives based on individual interests. There are also opportunities for internships and working student roles, providing valuable industrial exposure and helping students optimise their career paths. Settling in Germany can be challenging due to the demanding language, cultural differences and the current market situation.
Likes (Part time work): It is easy to find on-campus part time jobs at the University, which are mostly known as HiWi (Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft) or Student Assistant roles. In such roles one can find and contact different Ph.D. students and assist them on their respective projects under their guidance and supervision. It is usually manageable to have a part time job that amounts to 10 working hours per week along with the regular academic activities. The average pay is around 13 euros per hour.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There aren't many Indian restaurants in Stuttgart, and the ones that exist are either expensive or not very good. This is specifically about Indian cuisine; there are still great options for Italian, Thai, Korean, Mexican, or Turkish food in the city. I prefer cooking Indian food at home.

The economy is weak and it's very difficult to find work for less experienced professionals.
Tips: Adapt to German culture and weather, especially in winter. Learn the language to grow your social circle or miss out on networking. The German National Scholarship is available if you have good grades and maintain them for the standard period of study for two years. I am generally quite satisfied, as you have a lot of flexibility regarding courses, how many courses you want to take per semester, and part-time jobs.
Likes (Safety): Generally, Germany is a safe destination for students. The campus is situated in the outskirts of the main city and is surrounded by nice park, forest, and sports facilities. Stuttgart as a city offers a lot - it has a great city center, a lot of museums (Mercedes, Porsche), and the nightlife is also very happening and safe.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): All companies offer sponsor visas, however, right now the economy is weak and it's very difficult to find work for less experienced professionals or students. There are all kinds of job roles on offer, from data scientists to software developers, but you need to demonstrate a lot of skills and experience.

Opportunity to gain good technical knowledge, but less help from the university.
Tips: It's always good to talk to your seniors who have taken the subjects, because a few courses are extremely difficult. I also don't have a scholarship for my course. I'm not really satisfied with the university and the course, particularly, because the university doesn't really help the students in many matters, including studies. I am, however, well satisfied with the country.
Likes (Safety): The campus is generally safe all the time. I'd say it's a common thing in Europe. I never had any bad experiences. I'm sure the police know how to handle things, though. It's pretty safe to travel even at night, too. The transportation facility in the city also helps a lot.
Dislikes (Student Life): The course structure is complex, but you could find time for travelling and engaging with student activities. There are some summer parties, as well as annual parties. Student technical hubs, such as the green club, are pretty active, but student activities overall have limited exposure.

The university is student friendly and people are very friendly.
Tips: Know the German language well. It'll help with part-time jobs and jobs after your studies. There are options for scholarships, but with the blocked account money and part-time jobs, it'll be more than enough to survive. Also, the exams and study patterns here are very different. You need to constantly study and be up to date with classes. Studying a day before the exam will not be useful here.
Likes (Safety): Germany is one of the safest countries in Europe. In my time here, I've rarely faced any racism or other issues. People are friendly here, even cops are helpful. And if you know German, it's gonna be of great help. Public transportation is quite safe and have connection to almost every part of the city.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking by myself. There aren't many Indian restaurants here, and the ones available are expensive for the taste. There are a few Indian grocery stores here where you can get stuff. My suggestion is to learn cooking before you come here. It's better for health and financially wise in the long run.

Research, growth, and maturity.
Tips: Have some insights on courses, companies working on similar technologies. I have not received any scholarship. DAAD and Deutschland Stipendium are some of the good ones. They offer around 600 euros per month for one semester.
Likes (Student Life): The best thing about this university is internationalisation and part-time options with professors. Events like visiting tourist spots in the city, tech meet-ups, Science day and more. On average, I visit at least one event a month. Data about the club is available on the university website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Upon learning the German language, it typically takes around 3 years to obtain German citizenship. Earning a minimum defined amount of salary can provide permanent immigration status. If not the case, it may take around 5 years. I think I will stay for the long term, as of now, but I am not interested in moving to Germany permanently.

Stressful learning environment but a great experience.
Tips: I did not receive any scholarship, but it's possible to get a DAAD scholarship, which covers your entire academic expenses, including living expenses. All you need is a good academic background, and you’ll need to apply well in advance. You also might consider the Deutschland scholarship. The Deutschland scholarship covers your expenses too and pays you 300 euros a month. In Germany, it’s pretty easy to pick up odd jobs like a delivery service. You can also get a position in the technical field, like project management or civil engineering. However, the major challenge is the language barrier. If you don’t want to learn German and integrate into the German community, then don’t come here. It’s easy to balance studies and work as a student. The law allows you to work only 20 hours a week. Your salary should be enough to get you by.
Likes (Indian Food): There are several Indian stores and Indian restaurants in the city. But as a student, it is better to cook for yourself since it gets expensive to eat out regularly. Monthly grocery expenses are typically between 150 to 200 per person. Most restaurants are expensive and not student friendly. Fortunately, there are also many options for vegetarians.

Excellent university with plenty of opportunities.
Tips: Being open to different perspectives of people always comes in handy. I didn't secure any scholarship. To be honest, the satisfaction towards the university and course tends to rely more on how much one works on building their knowledge and utilising the available opportunities. The curriculum is designed to reward consistent efforts rather than last-minute preparations, which you can usually get away with back in India. The University of Stuttgart, being one of the Top 9 universities, is a respectable institution. In my course, many of the professors are highly knowledgeable in their area of expertise. One thing that I found challenging was the accent of the professors. They are not native English speakers, and each one has a quite unique way of speech and pace. Regarding the country, the essentials, like water, health care, and accommodations, are very good. Administrative processes take a long time, though, but they do surely happen.
Likes (Public transportation): Stuttgart has an excellent public transport system, which is typical of many tier 1 and tier 2 cities. There are two campuses of the University of Stuttgart, one at the city centre (near the Central Station) and another one at Vaihingen, both of which are well connected by the S-Bahn. The S-Bahn connects outer suburbs and satellite towns to the city, and the U-Bahn connects all popular locations within the city. Most students are advised to subscribe to the Deutschland Ticket (the most affordable option). For students under 27, there is an option for the Jugend BW ticket for €39.42 per month, but prices fluctuate. From a convenience standpoint, if you are used to using public transportation in India, then you should have no worries here.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The first thing that comes to the attention at an Indian restaurant is the price. That's because traditional ingredients from India cost more in Germany. In Stuttgart, one can find both south and north Indian cuisines with a bit of searching. Instagram and peers might come in handy, but I prefer self-cooking. At most supermarkets, groceries are of very good quality.

Excellent teaching and land of opportunities.
Tips: It is a little difficult in the beginning since it is not easy mentally and physically to leave your home country but once you get to your daily routine, it starts to settle in. There are a lot of cultural differences as compared to India, especially the language difference but it is all manageable at the end of the day. There are plenty of scholarship options for international students, although I was not able to secure one but there are many who do. The Deutschland Stpendum is one of them and it provides a monthly allowance of 300 euros. I am extremely satisfied with the teaching, part-time work environment and the opportunities one can enter later after graduation here.
Likes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are usually offered by the departments and there are plenty of them. Since Stuttgart is home to a lot of automotive and automation industries, you find a lot of off-campus well-paid opportunities as well. One can manage both studies and part-time quite easily, a lot of students do it. The average pay is also on the higher end as compared to other cities but it also varies from company to company.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Few faculty members encourage doing internships and thesis with an external company while some do not encourage it. The faculty members are very approachable and excellent in their respective domains. Some of them provide hands-on training in some of the courses which provide practical use-cases as well. Although, the teachers are mostly German but speak very fluent English and understand the situations of students as well. Few faculty members also have good industry connections which helps the students in getting full-time/thesis jobs as well.

Students are from different countries so it is very fun and interesting for networking.
Tips: You will feel cultural shifts as the food is very different from that in my home country. Also, there is a language barrier as few people understand English, but it is manageable. On the positive side, public transportation is quite good here and mostly on time. Also, there are many part-time opportunities like working students or student assistant jobs available at the university. While the University of Stuttgart does not have any specific scholarships, you can apply for scholarships offered by companies. Overall, I am very satisfied with the university and my courses.
Likes (Safety): In the last two years, I have never felt unsafe at the University of Stuttgart. The police and emergency services are always nearby just 5 -7 minutes away and they respond very fast. There are smoke detectors everywhere, and the people are very friendly.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As an international student, you will get too many opportunities for settlement but the only problem is visa delay from the government official as sometimes it takes months to get a reply. But other than that I would say it is possible to stay here permanently.

It has been a self-developing and helpful experience with great people.
Tips: This university is research-oriented, so you'll get a lot of theoretical studies. But you'll also learn a lot of technical and non-technical skills that will help you develop as an individual in self-development. The city has a lot of companies, so there are a lot of job opportunities. My chances of settling permanently in this country would be 40% as I like to have a social life which is a bit less likely to be seen here. From a job perspective, I would rather settle here, as they have good salaries as well as a work-life balance.
Likes (Safety): The police are very active and are always available to ensure our safety. The people here are very helpful if you approach them. Studying in a TU9 university but with a mildly experience.
Tips: Transitioning was not that difficult. You have a really big Indian community and you never feel far from home. You also make a lot of international friends and get to know a lot of things. I don't have a scholarship and I am mildly satisfied with my university. The country is extremely safe for people.
Likes (Internships): There are a lot of automobile companies to get internships into but no guidance is available. You have to do it on your own. Professors only care about teaching you. You can get an assistantship under them which will enhance your resume for future internships.
Dislikes (Value for money): The university's fees are too high for the quality of education you can get at any other university. The pressure of paying the fees hampers the study as you have to do a lot of part-time work to pay for it. The pressure is not worth the output you get in terms of education. It's good but it's the same provided in a university without the fee.
