Graduate Certificate in Advanced Project Management & Strategic Leadership - Batch of 2025

Innovative and explorative
Tips: I learned a lot of things after coming here. You get to meet a lot of experienced people and there's a lot of diversity. However Indian students do not have scholarships. I am not completely satisfied as they rely mostly on assignments rather than practical teaching.

Average Canadian college. Keep other options too
Tips: If you only have Canada as an option as of current scenario here I would recommend to have other options too say Europe can be a good option and there are many job opportunities there. But yes, if you like the culture of this place then surely you can come here. There are many part-time jobs one can take up. College as such is good and there are many students from India here so culturally there isn't much of a shock. Plus it is not very cheap, you need to spend bucks. There are other good options like George Brown, Humber too so plan accordingly before coming here. Tip: It is not that difficult to get into this college.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Currently because of recession there are less jobs and everyone is fighting here to get a job and to get a PR. While PR might not be that big an issue but high-paying jobs yes that certainly can be. Make sure you do have some connections and keep on learning and developing other skills side by side so that you can stand out and get a good job.

Don't rely on odd-jobs, prioritize your academics
Tips: After you come here take at least 3-4 months before you take any odd-job (part-time) because otherwise you will miss out on your campus life and subject matter understanding and you will not get good grades. After a few months, you can take up an odd-job but I see many students here only doing the odd jobs and skipping classes. While this job might get you some money which is fine as a student but what will you do after that? Prioritize your education because that is what you are here for and you can also do an odd job but keep up with your studies and don't rely on it completely. Shape up your skills and that is how you will get a job here in Canada otherwise coming here is of no use. No one wants to be a waiter here for a lifetime just to get the PR. It's good here at Lambton, the staff is very helpful and so are the professors. They will guide you through. Before coming here learn the basics of cooking and have a mindset that you will have to do your chores yourself. If you come with this ideology nothing is gonna stop you from reaching heights.

Provides safe and welcoming environment for international students.
Tips: The Lambton college offers a safe and welcoming environment for international students, with a multicultural society that celebrates diversity.
Lambton college provides practical experience of the study which helps to understand it properly and enrich our skills.
Practical exposure helps in finding skill-based jobs in future. It's great that the college and course have provided me with practical knowledge of the subject, which will undoubtedly assist me in advancing my career. The course is highly in demand and also helps the students learn from the basics.

Lambton is not that expensive but is good.
Tips: The fee here in Lambton is lesser than in other colleges. The campus here in Sarnia is good I would say better than the other campuses in Cities. Teachers are very friendly and supportive they like creative ideas and will assist you if you have any doubts. You can find accommodation within campus as well but it is better to find it outside there are many Facebook pages and groups that will help you out renting a room around here.

Canadian transition is easy for an Indian student.
Tips: There's not much of a cultural shift here in Toronto. You'll come across many Indian students in your batch only. Moreover, there are South Asians and Indians everywhere here. You'll even meet and greet with aged people from India in parks and around stores and that's something I like about this country. It's a home away from home. I personally didn't avail any scholarships however there are many here you can get information about them at the time of applying and I'll suggest you to do that. I'm satisfied with my course, faculty is very helpful, the course module is precise and there are many job opportunities out here. If you are thinking about doing the same course in France it's better to do it here as you have a plethora of job opportunities plus you don't need to learn French and on top of that you even have permanent settlement options as well. So, it's a good go!

Quality of faculty at Lambton College is amazing.
Tips: So basically I joined the college at the time of Covid 19. The classes were delivered online so there was no in-person contact. I pursued Business Management in Human resources. The tuition fee for the first year [2 semesters] was CAD 15K and for the last year semesters [4th sem was co-op] It was CAD 8K approximately. So, in total, it was around CAD 23K. Great faculty, really friendly teachers you get to learn a lot. However, the biggest drawback at the time I studied was that the entire course was delivered online. Inflation is at it's peak right now and the living costs are expected to go really up within the next few weeks. We have already experienced a rise in living costs including the prices of basic goods and services.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in my college are really nice and helpful. Although, I studied my course during covid 19 period still teachers are very helpful. Their teaching methodology is quite modern, very approachable and unique also. They are extremely talented and very accessible.

Good for certification program
Tips: Get to know about the residential accommodation near college and part-time opportunities near the college before joining.
Need to have good knowledge about the public transportation near the college premises. And about the local foods which are available for the international students who are coming from different parts of the world.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is good. As you get to know the value of your time. Got to know the greater picture of how students study in Canada with lots of assignments and exams at regular intervals. How they balance their time with work and studies and effectively learn to survive the situation.
Dislikes (Part time work): Did my studies online and had to find part-time on my own as college was not active for in-person studies. Had to balance college life with part-time work which sometimes became hectic due to assignments and exams which were scheduled on daily basis.

The top 2 best University choices for an international student in Saskatchewan.
Tips: I am more open-minded after these 2 years here, which is due to the fact that I live among people who come from different backgrounds and have varying perspectives on everyday matters. However, I believe a person must have self-discipline and maturity otherwise they will get carried away in this culture. I received a 3k CAD international entrance scholarship because of my good scores in IELTS and 12th Grade.

I am very happy that I got placed in Public University of Canada.
Tips: When I moved here, I faced a cultural shift but in good way. I learnt many things from students of different regions. There are lots of opportunities for scholarships. And my academic is 4/4 gpa, so I got it. Just maintaining the GPA will help in getting scholarships. Overall, I am totally satisfied with my University.

Value for money where students must be independent
Tips: One must be ready to take the initiative, look for opportunities, and network on their own to get the maximum benefits of studying at the university. There are activities happening all around the campus and one must stay updated on them by checking university campus groups and uregina mail. Same goes for internships and job opportunities either through campus placepro or through campus job fairs.
Likes (Value for money): The fee for CS comes down to around 3500 CAD per semester which is very economical as compared to all other universities in Canada. The campus has all the latest facilities and access expected from a modern university. The value for money is excellent here.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The quality of professors is a mixed bag to say the least. Some of the professors prepare their own course structure and assignments and try to innovate ways to educate with the latest tech curriculum relevant to the industry. However, there are others in the CS faculty who reuse content from other universities and care more about attendance than learning.

Complete waste of money.
Tips: My advice to you is that do not join this university if possible. They raise the fees by 2.5% every year and the standard of university isn't high. The professors are not good in most of the classes. You'll feel like it is not worth studying at all if you take any class with them.
Likes (Indian Food): With the increase in Indian and Asian population in the city, there are a lot of options for both Indian and Asian food here. In mostly every section of the city, you'll find some Indian restaurant of good quality. Though you'll have to drive around a bit but you'll find it in no time.
Dislikes (Safety): It is not the safest place at all. With a lot of indigenous people living in the city, it has become really difficult for brown skin people like us to live. They are not threat to us mostly but there are a lot of cases of theft and attacks on people, and the victims are mostly international people. Indigenous people are accused of doing it most of the times.

Fantastic learning experience!
Tips: If students want to join this college then they must go through the college website and read each and every section very carefully, like their fee structure, on the job placements, student life, internships and post course job opportunities, etc.
Likes (Part time work): In my opinion, job opportunities during the whole course were very high. Those who are willing to work can work without any hurdle. I myself did a part time job while studying. So, I am very much sure that anyone can get a job very easily if he/she wants one.
Dislikes (Value for money): In my opinion, this college is charging quite high money. If the fee structure is less then it will become a fantastic college. I hope if the college charges lesser amount then it will definitely help the students who have average family background.

University of Regina has is good with understanding and supportive faculty
Tips: I was very satisfied with my university, course, and country. However, I did not receive any scholarships. If you are considering studying abroad, be sure to apply for scholarships both with the university and the government. Also, be prepared for a difficult transition period after you arrive.
Likes (Indian Food): I spend most of my day studying and meeting with friends to discuss life. There are many events organized on campus, and I often participate. There are also many student clubs and communities, as well as student unions. The campus is very diverse, and you'll make many friends there.
Dislikes (Part time work): The faculty are always approachable. They try to teach more with a practical approach. very diverse teaching faculty. The faculty will help you throughout but they want you to ask questions so they can help you learn.
