Limited opportunities for freshers.
Tips: After getting your admission, start looking for houses online, join online communities related to your university, and ask all sorts of questions there. Be mentally prepared for the workload, which is quite high, and if not done on time, you can fall behind, resulting in unnecessary stress.
Likes (Student Life): Monash has honestly ticked pretty much every box for me when it comes to campus life. Like, whether you're looking at the sports setups, clubs, networking, or trying to find internships, they have it covered. The actual facilities here are incredible which honestly forces you to stay active since there’s always something going on. You've got the varsity setups under Team Monash, casual social leagues, plus all the regular student clubs—there are just a ton of options. Honestly, Clayton campus is basically its own mini-city, so you're always bumping into new people and building a network just by hanging out at the lounges or the Monash Sport complex. It gives you a really solid balance between grinding on your degree and actually having a life outside of classes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many companies sponsor your visa, unless you are exceptional. Just like any other foreign country, it's always hard to get jobs, as it's super competitive. Usually, you will always be offered entry-level packages and titles unless you have prior experience.

Modern and professional university.
Tips: The cost of living in Melbourne is something students need to know before coming to Australia. It should also reference the importance of their course and how it could benefit them. Have a proper planning of what you will do. If you look only at the Australian job market, make sure it does not have limited opportunities.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is amazing. Many events for students in the university. Melbourne as a city is beautiful and lively. Students can be part of various clubs and student associations. For example, the Monash Student Association and Monash Graduate Association.
Dislikes (Internships): Internship opportunities in Australia are not a lot. Very limited options. Monash University does help in providing an internship but it's not guaranteed. Not all students get internships. Moreover, it's not easy to find an external internship.

A good university with good facilities.
Tips: The transition to university life was smooth; however, post-graduation options are limited. Australian universities are not like Indian universities, so make sure you have the mindset when enrolling. Make sure to attend orientation. This helped me a lot.
Likes (Indian Food): The food options here are great to be honest. There are many Indian hotels and restaurants too where you can have food but you can't get that Indian taste. The prices are not very affordable. Despite being a non-vegetarian country, there are many places for vegetarian people too. Well I mostly prefer to cook myself because it's cheap and also it's not healthy to eat outside daily.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There are a few courses that give better chances of getting a PR in Australia. The remaining courses don't have that great a chance. The course I did doesn't have a great chance of getting a PR. Nevertheless if I get a proper career pathway to get PR, I'll be choosing that.

Studying in Monash seems hard but not impossible.
Tips: Adapting to the cultural difference was easy as I made connections with the Indian community as an international student. If you make connections with your community (there is a lot of the Indian Community), there would not be much of a difference between the culture in India and in Australia. And students do get scholarships based on their previous scores in 10th, 12th and PG studies, which can be availed during the time of admission. All in all, for me, the course did provide me with the necessary skillset I need to enter the workforce.
Likes (Safety): Monash Uni takes safety as a priority as there is on campus police who will always be on the lookout for students well being, and Monash also offers on call security where you can call the campus security if the student is in distress. Apart from campus security, the city police also offers great help when needed. In my experience, I have hardly faced any racism or unfriendly behaviour by the people of Victoria. I believe the university and the city as a whole are a safe place to live.
Dislikes (Internships): My course does not have an internship as a part of the curriculum. It is solely based on how good you are at finding an internship. Internships are often posted on job platforms and you as a Uni student need to find a suitable internship in your field of study.

Highly competitive and limited opportunities.
Tips: Undeniably, there is a bit of a cultural shock felt at first in terms of how people interact and socialise over here understanding different accents and settling in at your first job/university. Talking to a lot of different people from diverse cultures and backgrounds greatly helps. This place will force you to come out of your comfort zone as you'll have to make an effort to get anything done. I was not offered any scholarship as there is None available for students in our course however Monash does offer a grant to international students in some cases which is limited.
Likes (Safety): Apart from the campus security, the area is highly under surveillance by the Victorian State police through security personnel and cameras. There are also a few applications available on mobile where international students can report any problems they might have faced. I haven't personally had any bad experiences yet but it is generally advised to avoid any contact with junkies in public areas as they can be really unpredictable and can cause harm.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs available on campus are limited and highly competitive requiring some prior work experience in the role. Most students will be better off finding jobs outside of the university related to their fields of study which takes a few months and lots of patience. Given that you provide your availability to your employers in advance, they can be really flexible in terms of assigning you shifts which makes working part-time with the university really manageable along with all the associated expenses. When starting out most-part times can't expect to make anything over the minimum legal wage as there is a huge influx of job seekers who are mostly international students.

Getting a full time job is very challenging.
Tips: The only thing I would say is, getting a full time job is very challenging here in Australia. They don’t even post jobs properly and only referrals work. And they have an excuse to not hire international students, which is “Australian work experience”; if you don’t have it, you will struggle to find a job. Also recently, there have been several attacks on Indian students for no reason. So, it's not very safe either.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation here in Australia is good. Buses and trains are available and run frequently. So travelling won't be an issue. For buses, you might have to pay AUD 3 for each trip. For trains, in a similar range. So, it's not extremely expensive but not very cheap either.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): What I know is last 2 years have been incredibly bad for graduates in Australia in general, regardless of university. There is also no great support from the university. Although this can be said for the majority of the countries. But in Australia, it is very tough to get a full time job as an international student.

Pretty chill and lovely environment.
Tips: The transition took some time. The people in Australia are pretty casual. Some might come off as rude by being slightly mean to you/making fun of you but it's with good intentions. That's how everyone is. They talk good behind your back, though. I didn't get a scholarship as it wasn't available for anyone in my course at Monash. I'm pretty satisfied here with the university, my course and Australia.
Likes (Part time work): There are lots of jobs got students to do. I work at Woolworths and the pay is really well. There are jobs on campus but it's hard to get. Part time and studies are a little hard to manage, depending on the job you do. But perseverance is key to managing both. Average pay is around 26 an hour.
Dislikes (Public transportation): It's not the best as the frequency and schedule are sometimes bad. There is good connectivity, though. Wish there were more buses and trains that connect to more locations. The rates are sometimes expensive as well as the minimum rate is around 3 for buses and 5.5 for trains.

Good faculty and opportunities.
Tips: Jumping straight in after finishing my bachelor's was difficult but if you come with some industry experience it might help. I got a 25% scholarship due to my academic proficiency in my bachelor's. If you are an academically inclined person and want some fun along the way this is the best place.
Likes (Part time work): Lots of well paying opportunities in and around the campus. From technical part time roles to public facing roles, you'll find everything. When selecting subjects to study in a semester, you can easily select the slots of lectures that best suit you and align with your work schedule.
Dislikes (Safety): There are often instances of stabbing, armed robberies and racial discrimination against foreign students. Carrying some self-protection gear might help. There was once an instance where one of my friends was asked to empty his pockets and hand over everything at knifepoint.

A truly rewarding and holistic international experience.
Tips: The course is demanding as in it demands time and genuine effort. Especially in units like Statistics and Machine Learning. Those are the toughest units. It is easier if you prepare before each class and start working on the assignments on time. Unlike colleges in India, you need to put in a lot of self studying hours to understand concepts. Your professors and tutors are there to help you with questions and doubts. But at the end of the day it feels good because you know you put in effort and it worked out and you genuinely learned something. I enrolled through IDP so I got a small scholarship of 10000 AUD. Monash as a university is very exciting. There is always some fun event going on which is open for all.
Likes (Indian Food): Clayton is full of Indian and Asian restaurants. You would never miss Indian food. Plus there are numerous options. Even in the city, there are multiple options to try different cuisines. Everything is available. There are numerous Indian stores in Clayton for Indian groceries as well.
Dislikes (Internships): There is some competition as opportunities are less but its still possible to land internships. The university has career services in Monash Connect. You can book appointments and consult with them regarding how to approach the job market. But Monash itself focuses a lot on research, so if you network well, it can lead to internships within the university. Various clubs organise networking events for students and there are private organisations in the city who organise networking events too.

3.1
Ambiguous, stressful, but worth it.
Tips: I recommend researching the course structure rather than focusing on university rankings. University rankings don't matter much for job prospects. Apply for international student grants when you apply. Try to stay in contact with professors. There's still a lot to learn online.
Likes (Safety): Highly secure, with numerous services available. There is 24/7 police patrolling, and a police station is located on campus. Emergency contacts are readily available, and cameras are installed throughout. A bus service is provided for students returning late at night, and security checks are conducted in all rooms and buildings.
Dislikes (Internships): For IT department masters, there is no internship support from the university. It's not part of our course requirement, no guidance is provided, and there is no preference for international students. Therefore, it is very difficult for people to secure one.

Learning, growing and loving the uni life.
Tips: Before joining, students should be prepared for being comfortable stepping out of their comfort zones. The people are actually very nice over here and love to have short talks. The cultural shift was noticeable - especially the independence and direct communication - but I adjusted over time. I received a 10,000 AUD partner scholarship, which was directly deducted from my one-year fee. Overall, I'm happy with my course, the university, and the experience here in Australia.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The V line services often experience disruptions, delays and planned works which can be quite inconvenient. On weekends and public holidays the frequency of trains tends to drop leading to long gaps between services. The campus is connected to the city via train and bus.

It is a great college and international exposure is great.
Tips: Monash offers great academics and a diverse campus, but tuition and living costs are high. Adjusting was tough at first due to a new academic style and independent culture, but the diverse, friendly campus made it easier to settle. I did not get any scholarships.
Likes (Indian Food): There are plenty of food options from my country of origin available around the Clayton area. Grocery stores and supermarkets also stock Indian items and ingredients. I often prefer cooking at home, but it's great to have affordable and authentic options when I want to have something great.
Dislikes (Value for money): It is very expensive to study at Monash University, and while the faculty members and teaching are good, I don't think that the extremely high tuition or around AU$ 200,000 is justified. The value does not match the investment as it places a very big burden on student and parents.

A balanced journey, growth, challenges, and opportunities as an international student.
Tips: Student should know that while this college offers a wide range of opportunities both academic and extra curricular requires self initiative, professors and staff are supportive but you need to be protective about attending events seeking, help and building your network time management is key, especially if you're juggling studies with part time work. Also don't expect things to be handed to you. You will get the most out of the experience if you actively participate in what's happening on campus. The transition was challenging at first especially as an international student and there was definitely a cultural shift. People are more individualistic and open in how they communicate. The education system is also different focusing more on independent learning, critical thinking and research based assignments. At the same time, their cultural diversity on campus helps me quickly. I made friends from different countries and which really helped open my mind and help me feel more included. I received the international student merit-based scholarship. The process involves submitting my academic transcript and personal statement during my application. It wasn't a full scholarship, but it offered a partial tuition fee, which was helpful in reducing final pressure.

Good facilities and teaching staff, but somewhat expensive.
Tips: Students should know that it won’t be easy to study at this university. You will be in a new country and a new environment and you’ll have to do a lot of the work on your own so it won’t be easy at first. But once you get used to it you’ll do really well and your life will change. You’ll also learn to be more disciplined, which will help you a lot.
Likes (Safety): There are guards security personnel and cameras that make you feel safe. The staff and people around you are also really good and easy to approach, and we have Monash Connect where we can go and talk about any problems with them whether academic or even personal.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There aren’t enough vegetarian options available especially for the morning 8 am classes. It makes it difficult for people who are vegetarians because it’s difficult to cook their own meals every day. If there were some vegetarian choices I think it would be really helpful.

The tuition is unnecessarily high due of its brand value.
Tips: Though it has a brand value, it doesn't mean that you will get a full-time job. You will get the same preference as any tier-2 college student. It doesn't provide a lot of scholarships, so be ready to pay a huge amount of money. I am personally happy with the brand I am studying in, but somewhere it could have done better.
Likes (Safety): The campus has a very good security. Monash vans help us to reach our destination. The guards will always make sure the student is genuine and will always check id cars. The guards are there 24/7 so there is no need to worry. You can easily sit on-campus anytime and study.
Dislikes (Value for money): I think the university is charging a lot of fees even if it's not required. I guess they are just charging because they have a brand value. The teaching faculty can do much better. Half of the assignments and stuff are understood and done by us. So there is no point in charging so much.

The availability of on-campus jobs is very less and competitive among competent students.
Tips: Research is key; do a lot of research before coming here. Do not focus on partying or clubbing; rather, focus on making yourself familiar with the country. Be aware that you are representing your home country and do not do anything that reflects bad civic sense. Scholarships are limited at Monash, but if you are getting one, well and good. Every international student gets a 10000$ grant if they have a good profile. I am very satisfied with the country, university and my course.
Likes (Value for money): The university is great. A very huge campus, amazing facilities. But it completely depends on the student on how much they can extract from the resources available. By expecting things to come to you, you will only waste time. By taking initiative and meeting new people, you will build your career. The value for money is seen.
Dislikes (Part time work): The availability of on-campus jobs is very less and competitive among competent students. Off-campus opportunities are more achievable, but you have to be prepared for a job hunt, and patience is very important. Work and study are very much manageable by following the rules of work set by the government strictly. The minimum according to the government is 588$ for 24 hours a week, which is 24.5 AUD minimum wage per hour.

Internships are quite easy to get especially research internships.
Tips: The transition was quite easy for me as I made contacts and friends using Facebook before coming to Australia, so that everything is not new for me. I did get a merit scholarship of AUD 10000 and a travel package of AUD 5000. It was all done while applying for the course. But apart from that, there are no other useful scholarships available to my knowledge. I am overall only slightly satisfied with the university because the faculty was quite poor. The faculty did not speak English properly, and it was very difficult to understand them. To do cost-cutting, most of the lecture classes were converted to online and even while staying in Australia, I was attending online classes. Furthermore, the data Science course during my time was good, but as I have heard from the later batch, it is much restricted for a master's course. Very less elective options are available, so it is advisable to see the course structure before applying and even after charging a lot for education, the university is constantly trying to cut costs.
Likes (Internships): Internships are quite easy to get. Especially research internships, since Monash University is a research-focused university. The faculty is also very helpful, and we can directly email them for more information on research projects that they are currently working on. Also, one can apply to summer research internships that run from December to February. All internship-related information is available on the Monash website, but it is more beneficial to directly email faculty for internship opportunities.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very few options for on-campus part-time jobs at Monash University, given the huge number of applicants for each job and the preference given to students who have been living in Australia for a long time or those who have been at the university since their Bachelor's course. However, there are many off-campus options available. For exploring these options, try writing a resume, visiting shopping malls, restaurants, and market areas, as there are higher chances of getting part-time jobs while roaming in person rather than applying online. Part-time work is very easily manageable with studies. The part-time employers in Melbourne are well aware of the balance required between studies and a job, and at the beginning of each semester, they give us a chance to understand our availabilities based on our class schedules. For instance, I was working at Grill'd restaurant as a team member. The restaurant had just one compulsory day a week when I had to complete my shift. During the rest of the week, I used to update my unavailability a week prior, and I was good to go. The average payout is anywhere between AUD 22 to 40, and it was enough to manage my living expenses based on my average living standard. You can definitely work more during your vacation and save money for use during your semester.

There is a lot of competition, and the only way people get jobs is through reference or pure luck.
Tips: The first few months are an adjusting period, so don't be too stressed if you are not able to figure things out. Things will fall into place with time. Try to join college clubs to build your network and make friends. I would also advise you to take advantage of all the resources provided by the university, like the university providing free groceries for students on certain days.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teachers do an excellent job of covering the syllabus by interestingly introducing concepts. They are also very patient with their student and the assignments are quite interesting. They are mostly assignment-based, so you don't have to worry about exams.
Dislikes (Part time work): I have been trying to apply for a part-time job for the past four months but haven't had much luck. There is a lot of competition and the only way people get jobs is through reference or pure luck. Avoid working at Indian restaurants as they often underpay and overwork their staff. I would suggest continuing to network and meeting people. Also it helps to go physically and hand out your resume to places.

Chill, academically oriented, student friendly, and can be a bit stressful sometimes.
Tips: There were some cultural shocks regarding the way people live here and about the drinkability of water straight from the taps. From my experience in Australia, the typical Aussie accent is really hard to understand, but since it's an English-speaking country, it won't be that big of an issue. I feel that Australia is pretty Asian dominated, with seeing majority of Chinese and Indian students being in my cohort, and Indonesians with Malaysians and Singaporeans capturing the remaining portion. Getting along with people of different cultures and studying with them is definitely a unique experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Melbourne has the largest tram network, which makes it pretty convenient to travel from one place to another, but on the other hand, it could get a little overwhelming or confusing to begin with, as it's pretty huge and complex as well. Other than trams, the local metros that run here are pretty convenient to travel in, offering a route to almost all the stations with various lines of operation. Buses are also a reliable and quick source of travel, with the only drawback being their lack of frequency.
Dislikes (Internships): First of all, if you plan to do an internship with the university, you'd have to pay around 7000 dollars, and the internship that you'd be getting would be unpaid. Secondly, there is no guaranteed internship as well; all you can do is apply through the process and give in an online interview, which is pretty much a prerequisite of the process, but after that, there is no guarantee of any internships. Personally speaking, the internship experiences that I have heard from my colleagues and friends made it sound like not worth it, and there were no learnings to take away from it. Lastly, you'd most likely get sacked from the internship at the end of its tenure, and there's no job guarantee even through the internship.

The career university with knowledge
Tips: If you're looking at the University of West London, the biggest thing to realize is that everything here is geared entirely toward getting you hired. It’s known as a huge career uni, so the modules are designed around practical, industry-standard skills rather than just reading old textbooks. Before you pick your course—whether you're looking at a standard 3-year bachelor's, a 1-year master's, or a degree with a built-in placement year—you really need to look at the module outline. Make sure those specific classes either build directly on what you already studied back home or give you the exact technical skills you need for your target job market. Location-wise, most of the action happens at the Ealing and Brentford campuses in West London. It’s a great spot because you get the true London experience without being stuck right in the chaotic, hyper-expensive center, though you're still just a quick tube ride away from everything. Tuition fees are honestly pretty reasonable compared to some of the massive, research-heavy universities in the UK, making it a much more affordable gateway into London student life. Plus, their placement support is incredibly active. They have a solid career team that hooks you up with local networking events, CV workshops, and actual industry links, and the alumni network is pretty decent for finding people who transitioned straight from UWL into full-time London corporate roles.
Likes (Public transportation): Yes, it's really good; we can track the bus and train timings. It's very accurate. We can travel by day or night without burden. I love the traffic systems, rules, and regulations. Trains and tubes are best when traveling to central London because they're very fast compared to road transport.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Nowadays rules and policies are changing; it takes 10 years for permanent residence. Need to pay more visa and NHS fees. We cannot predict what happens after 10 years for immigrants. Expensive cost of living and tax rate compared to India. Accommodation is expensive in London compared to other cities.

Great place to learn and grow.
Tips: In this university, if you pay full tuition in one go, you get a discount. I'm really satisfied with the services during my academic journey. They're very supportive in terms of education and everything for international students. They're guiding us throughout the journey and for our future as well.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is really good in London and the university provides free transport as well from nearby stations for all students. London provides a student transport pass at a low cost which is really good for the students and if we live near the university, we don't need to pay for a university pass, as the university runs free buses for students from nearby areas.
Dislikes (Internships): Teachers are very supportive in terms of extra efforts for international students. They're guiding us on how to get internships and volunteer work that helps to get field job. My teachers always sending mail if they find any good opportunities for us and they guided us how to apply for that and they are always happy to give references for us.

Amazing university experience with a good work-life balance.
Tips: I have grown both personally and professionally. I have become more independent since living alone pushes you to get work done even on hard days. Coming from a cloud city in India itself, London felt like home since the noise and vibrant life made it less lonely. I did not avail any scholarship; however, the university does grant a few. I am truly quite satisfied with the course, the university and definitely the country.
Likes (Indian Food): London has many options for Indian food. You will find an indian restaurant every one kilometre away and it is loaded with good food which won't make one feel homesick. Do not forget to show your id card since student discounts are almost offered everywhere. I prefer cooking by myself since it's cheaper compared to eating outside food, and it's a healthier option.
Dislikes (Safety): London is quite neutral in this aspect since it is a blend of a safe and an unsafe city. Pick pocketing is something one should really be vigilant of since I got my phone snatched once near the bus station. But apart from that, London has always been the heart of the UK as the city is chaotic, fast, and full of life.

Experienced faculty and diverse courses at University of West London: A place of quality education.
Tips: The culture here is quite different but friendly for international students. I did not get any scholarships. I am quite satisfied with my course and the university. This country is great for studying this course as it provides practical exposure to real-world to study this course.
Likes (Safety): Uwl has a student support team where you can freely tell your queries even in case of safety. They are always ready to help. The city is great but I have faced a few difficulties. First is the mailing service in my student accommodation. I did not receive my cards on time. Later must be aware of the deposit and make it clear enough to the landlord before selecting a room from an off-campus location. Overall, this place is great for developing your skills.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is difficult to find part time job this year related to your field of study. It is a bit difficult to manage your part-time and classes in the beginning. The payout is raised from this year and is good. It completely depends on the student to manage expenses.

Be you and all follows. Good university to start your abroad journey.
Tips: The course selection should be wise otherwise you cannot change once you pick up a course. Also, be aware of future jobs cause the rules state that we have to work in the same field as our course. Nothing apart from these. When you come here you will figure it out.
Likes (Public transportation): Transportation is really good apart from the regular strikes. Otherwise, it is better to take student accommodation so that the travel and expenses part is sorted. Either way, it is the same expense. So it didn’t really matter to me. I had opted for a student dorm.
Dislikes (Part time work): I haven't found a part-time yet. Help is given by the university as their career fairs are very specific to future jobs here. Also the part-time jobs are not relevant to your previous experience. We have to work on random things and struggle for a full time. Just like I am doing it

This university is the best for students.
Tips: The University is the best university for an international student. It provides help in every possible aspect to an international student who does not know how to deal with assignments. They even help getting a job when you are new to the country. This university is the best for students.
Likes (Post study jobs): Students are given every possible help, be it module related or in the library and also related to career. There are specific departments just to help students with examinations. Students also get free transport from one campus to another with shuttle service.
Dislikes (Safety): Very friendly faculty. The faculty are experienced in their respective fields and always share their experience and tips along with explaining the relevant topic during the lecture. The feedback given by them always helps to excel in examinations.
