Indian immigrants at UoN- word hard, play hard
Tips: There was definitely a huge culture shock. The UK is a very individualistic society so everyone minds their own business but it's also harder to find people that will help you. Everything is expensive so take all the free stuff from events/fair that you can. Especially stationary. If you're a vegetarian, avoid eating at restaurants because they charge way too much for not-so-great food.
Likes (Student Life): UoN has a wide array of clubs and communities that sometimes offer tasters or free events. There are annual fair that showcase all the various clubs. There's usually a few to join these clubs. The sports clubs are the most expensive. ResX also organizes many fun (and free) activities in student accommodation.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Job roles related to economics, finance and accounting are more likely to be sponsored. For psychology, there are very scarce options. Since sponsorship is required to immigrants, its alot harder to land roles which offer sponsorship. The NHS has the most sought after job opportunities so it's worth a shot.

Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology MSc - Batch of 2025
4.0
This 1 year has shaped me well as a person.
Tips: Honestly, I’m just so happy I managed to wrap up my MSc at such a solid university. The people you meet are actually really outgoing and kind which makes settling in way easier. My favorite part had to be the campus in April—it’s honestly gorgeous when the tulips and cherry blossoms start blooming everywhere. There is so much to see across the UK if you can actually find the time (and get lucky with the weather). If you're into nature, you’ve absolutely got to go for a trek in the Peak District; it's easily one of the highlights of the whole experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty for the MSc in Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology is impressive and focused on providing a high-quality learning experience with a student-centric approach. The assessment is majorly focused on exams rather than coursework. The faculty is diverse in terms of nationality and yet very inclusive.

International Commercial Law LLM - Batch of 2025

A life-changing experience with growth, challenges and great memories.
Tips: Moving to the UK was a massive shock to the system at first—I’m not going to lie, the weather and the food were a total 180 from what I was used to back home. It felt pretty overwhelming in those first few weeks, but looking back, that whole struggle was probably the best part of the trip. It really forced me to grow up and learn how to handle things on my own. I didn't actually go for any scholarships myself, but I know the uni has a bunch of them for international students. You’ve just got to be on top of it and apply early to help with the costs. Academically the course was great. It’s not just memorizing stuff they really push you to think for yourself. Plus the people you meet from all over the place just make the whole experience so much better. I’m honestly so glad I did it—it changed me a lot and I’d give anything to go back and do that whole phase over again.
Likes (Public transportation): I rated public transport as five because of the excellent connectivity, convenience, and reliability. The campus is very well connected to the city through frequent bus services. The university Hopper bus, which is basically free, can be used for traveling in between campus.
Dislikes (Internships): I went with a 3 for internships because, honestly, the options were just spread too thin and the competition was brutal. The uni did have some cool research assistant spots at the different law centers—like commercial and criminal law—which were exactly what I was looking for. I actually applied and made it to the interview stage but it was just so cutthroat. Even though the roles themselves were solid and actually meant something there just weren't enough of them to go around. It would’ve been a way better experience if they had a broader range of placements available.

Academically focused, with staff support in all areas of your life and no judgment from professors.
Tips: Transition was very different; it's difficult as well. Not only do we deal with academic transition but also cultural transition, a new social circle, and a new lifestyle as well. There are a couple of cultural shifts that I've experienced - the please, thank you etiquette, respecting others' time and boundaries, and friendships in the UK take longer to develop with localities. I'm satisfied with my course; it challenged me academically would appreciate more case studies rather than exams. However, except for the weather its given me opportunities and challenges to grow myself personally and professionally.
Likes (Safety): Since Nottingham is heavily based as a student city, it has a lively and well-connected environment throughout the year. Public transport such as buses and trams is generally considered safe at night as many students travel late after classes, library sessions or social settings.

The university itself is good; the faculty could be improved.
Tips: If you're a psychology student, I would recommend trying out for the BPS-accredited courses; you can just check online if it's possible for your undergrad degree to get accredited. There were issues regarding faculty in 2025 which led to delays in grading.
Likes (Indian Food): Lot of great restaurants in Nottingham for Indian food. Kottaram, Cochin Fort, and biryani places. The prices are better when you go with other people and split the price. I prefer a mix of both. Save money during the week by cooking at home and going out on the weekend to try out the food around.

Amazing and supportive university.
Tips: There wasn't any such major cultural shift; there were small here and there compromises and adjustments which everyone has to do. I wasn't on any scholarships. The major reason for me to choose the UK over other countries was the duration of the degree and this course wasn't available in other countries, so I knew this was the best shot.
Likes (Public transportation): So my university had 3 to 4 campuses which were pretty far from each other and there were on-campus buses provided by the university, free of cost so I personally found that a really nice means of transport on campus. And for the city as well, it has buses and trams to go around so a lot of options.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): So lately there have been a lot of changes in the permanent settlement options for immigrants, like proposed changes, and if they come into existence then it will be tough to settled permanent. After living there for a year, I would like to settle.

Growth through discomfort.
Tips: There were good restaurants and cafes available on campus and off campus. Most of them even offered student discounts and were all budget-friendly. However if you're really looking to save money, eating healthy home-cooked meals is the best. Big cultural shift, quieter life, high independence, discussion-led learning. Transition was tough but grounding. I applied for scholarships but didn't receive one. Partially satisfied: strong academics, challenging systems, slow administration.
Dislikes (Internships): Internship options in my field were very limited, and most were not closely aligned. Guidance on finding and applying for the internships was surface level with minimal structured support making the process largely self-driven for international students.

There are a lot of part-time jobs available some with good income.
Tips: It might be a little more overwhelming for international students after some time of coming to the university mostly because of the distance and the unfamiliarity and the academic stress. But when you find the right people, when you start to jell with your peers, when you get comfortable with the studies, and find warmth in the could weather outside, it won't be less than a dream.
Likes (Value for money): It is a little bit on the expensive side, not the tuition but the living cost, but wonderful properties and the university in itself is a world of its own so if you put in the effort and are passionate, it is all worth it. The cost of living can also be mellowed down if you are open to share room or a house with a bigger number of people like 5-6.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are a lot of part-time jobs available some with good income and some with average income. But most of them get filled out at the start of the academic session so be prepared to enter this aspect of your life as soon as possible. There will be roles available throughout your time out; just remember to be proactive but not overwork yourself.

Once in a lifetime experience.
Tips: The weather runs on extremes. Seasonal depression during winter is real, it can affect you mentally and you need to be prepared to cope with it. Here, vegetarian food could include eggs, so be careful. I didn't get any scholarship but I have friends who did get scholarships so you can always try. I was quite satisfied with my university because the campus was breathtaking, the professors were really good and supportive. There are a lot of clubs that you can be a part of.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is extremely efficient. If you take a bus pass or tram pass in the beginning for the entire year traveling becomes very convenient and cost effective. The city is very well connected. The buses and trams are spacious, clean and regular.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My chances for permanent settlement are not great because of the recent changes in the country's immigration policy. Even the cost for the 2-year graduate visa has increased to 3000 pounds. The situation is quite volatile. I would not permanently immigrate to this country.

Easily accessible and approachable faculty.
Tips: First things first, be prepared for the worst. Most of us have grown up pampered and under the shelter of our parents. Initial days will be tough but as and when time passes, you grow and see a newer version of yourself. Balancing household, part time work and academic may feel overwhelming at first but it eventually becomes a rewarding and enjoyable journey. I did receive a scholarship of 8580 approximately 9 lakhs. The business school awards scholarships based on your experience, profile, projects and most importantly, how effectively you answer the scholarship questionnaire. Together, these factors determine the level of scholarship or you can percentage. I receive 35% scholarship on my degree tuition fees. I’m very satisfied with my course and the degree disciplines. I could have done better in the first semester but as I said initially everything was overwhelming so yeah nevertheless it has been a wonderful learning experience for me.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Easily approachable through email, making sure you email during working hours. Everyone is given an equal chance in their group work and individual assignments that sets us apart from the crowd. Most importantly, the assignments are designed in such a way that you get a clear understanding of what is the main goal of this chapter or subject in real life industry applications.
Dislikes (Safety): Students have a separate walking area on the road that’s the yellow light walking zone mostly for students road safety. Every shop is within walking distance so no long travel or walking routes alone. Nothing as such for the safety part. I have never experienced anything unsafe. Just that in public areas and make sure you don’t use headphones or earbuds while walking, as phone snatching or pickpocketing might happen which is rare but can happen if you're careless.

Great university with a lot of clubs, activities and events.
Tips: I personally did find the cultural shift as drastic as I expected. It was primarily the weather that took some getting used to. I did avail a scholarship from the University for South Asain Students which amounted to 5,000 pounds and this was subtracted from my University fee. All the information is available on the University website and it was quite an easy application process. I am extremely satisfied with my course, the country I chose and the University.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Each staff member is a personal tutor as well and they have office hours on particular days of the week where a student may approach them. To solve any doubts. I personally found the tutorial set up unique compared to the teaching back home. It is a group of 5-7 students who sit around a table and discuss the topic just been taught. This is especially helpful as it is quite easy to feel lost in a 300+ student lecture theatre. I personally found the faculty quite diverse. A lot of my professors were themselves from different countries bringing a unique legal perspective to their teaching which is important for a well rounded education.
Dislikes (Value for money): There is a career service available during your course and still remains after you graduate. It is especially helpful for an international navigating the UK market and understanding what skills, experience etc. You would need to apply for an internship. There is guided help not just from the career service but also from tutors and professors. Another point would be that the teaching has been split into lectures and tutorials. The latter gives you more interaction with your professors and the ability to learn the same material in a smaller setting which works wonders. The staff is extremely approachable and are constantly trying to make international students feel at home. From the get go, an international meet and greet is set up, your tutor contacts you for a meeting just to see how you are settling in and other inclusive activities. There are also a bunch of student led and run societies for any interest you can think of. Along with an abundance of part time roles within the University that help you earn while studying.

There are lots of student clubs at the university that are quite interesting.
Tips: There was a cultural shift, but UK doesn’t make you feel like that because of the diverse community. You won’t miss out on anything here. Unfortunately, I couldn’t avail any scholarship because I applied late. A lot of my friends did get scholarships up to 100%.
Likes (Student Life): There are a lot of Indian friends you make, so it makes you feel like you’re right at home. I recommend taking student accommodation for this reason. It can be pretty great, in my experience. Plus, there are lots of clubs at the university that are quite interesting. If you’re a cricket fan, you can even play for the university’s team, just like I did.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teaching faculty consists of more European teachers, and the faculty is accessible upon appointment and quite helpful. I would also say that the coursework is a real asset. When you do that coursework, you grasp all the important concepts, and they are quite helpful during interviews.

The course is very well designed from point of practical skills and knowledge.
Tips: Prepare well for time management and burnout. Network with all types of people for best results. The course is very well designed from point of practical skills and knowledge. A huge amount of self-study is required to be informed for the growth in the course. The internship structure isn't really a thing, and I have to volunteer for internships to gain experience. While my course has active researchers as teachers and covers various families with case studies, the practice aspect could be better. At the Jubilee campus, the cultural events and student bodies work well to ensure that student life is energised and balanced. The Nottingham environment makes for a great experience, and the staff is always around and kind. Every element needed for well-being is available on the campuses.

Great academic exposure and supportive environment for growth.
Tips: Before joining the UoN, I suggest students research their course structure, living expenses, and academic expectations. It's also helpful to connect with current students for firsthand insights. Transitioning to life here is quite challenging and exciting at the same time. From academic style to social interactions, it is a big cultural shift. The classroom environment encourages critical thinking and independent learning, which was very different from my undergraduate experience. Adjusting to the UK's extreme & unpredictable weather and food also took enough time. I didn't avail of any scholarships, but the university offers several merit & need-based options. Many scholarships are listed on the university website, and applying early with a strong personal statement and a good academic record can improve one's chances.

A journey of growth and discovery at UoN.
Tips: My study at Nottingham has turned me into a different person with a lot of skills that I lacked before. I am now more confident. I didn’t receive a scholarship, but my course was totally worth every penny I paid. There are a lot of scholarships available, so make sure to apply for them beforehand so you will benefit. My campus was very beautiful and there are a lot of facilities and sport clubs to indulge in to learn new skills. Overall, I am very much satisfied with my course and the UK has become my second home.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is very supportive and always ready to help. The teaching methods include fun games and activities that make it easy to understand concepts. It's a multicultural experience, which will help you grow and learn new skills. You are assigned with a personal tutor who will help you with all your problems. The professors feel like family and are very sweet.
Dislikes (Safety): Some parts of the city were not safe to go alone, especially at night. There were a lot of incidents of abuse reported. In the campus, you are safe, but if you are walking alone outside the campus, make sure to be in groups. Don't carry too much cash.

Tips: Make a list of everything you need. Plan out your weekly expenses. Stop covering GBP to INR while buying because it would trouble you and would make you conscious of what you are spending. In reality, you cannot help it. These are the basic things you need. Please try to make sure you study more about the course before applying and look at the disadvantage and advantage as well. Don't get swept up by the beauty of the country.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is always available and easily accessible at any time of the day or night. It's 2 pounds per person but if you buy a group ticket with one or two people, it lessens your expenses and it's better to buy on the app because the ticket would remain for 24 hours.
Dislikes (Internships): Not many internship opportunities during the course. The course does not offer you opportunities per se. It does offer some project-based opportunities though which adds up on your CV but overall there are no hospital-based internships or case studies.

Settling in the UK has become much more difficult due to a lack of job opportunities
Tips: There will be a certain dynamic cultural change that everyone will experience at a point in time, since the way of living in the UK is very different from that in India. In general, every country has a very different routine. I think one of the most important things that students should prepare for is the clock change. Especially during the winters, the early sunsets and longer nights can confuse your mind and body. Apart from that, it is very important to budget well and know how you are spending your money because it is an expensive country. I felt very satisfied with my uni and course because Nottingham is a UNESCO City of Literature. The resources in the city and in the university are really very good and that was one of my primary reasons to choose this university. The faculty of arts and the School of English, especially, are very good, and they care about how students are settling in and try to make you feel comfortable all the time.
Likes (Student Life): UoN does a great job at making sure that the student experience is very good. They have ResX and other faculty events that go on every week. Moreover the campus is amazing, the libraries are great. Commuting throughout the city is very easy. The campus also has hopper buses that are easy to use and access. In general, the university puts a lot of effort into ensuring that student life is top-notch. They have wellbeing officers, therapy sessions that you can access easily, and they also have student cohorts everywhere.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): In general, settling in the UK has become much more difficult due to a lack of job opportunities and PhD funding. Moreover the cost of living is increasing day by day while the country is slipping into recession. The rents and groceries are becoming increasingly expensive. A lot of home students themselves find it difficult to get jobs and it's even more difficult for students on a visa.

Learning and growing at middlesex
Tips: If you're heading to Middlesex in London, just be ready for the fact that the learning style is completely independent. Don't expect to be spoon-fed; you really have to take control of your own research and deadlines. Also, do not sleep on the university support services—they’re there for a reason, and they can actually help you sort out your logistics if you get stuck. Moving to a whole new country is definitely a shock to the system. It took me a few weeks just to settle in, get my head around the UK education system, and stop feeling like a tourist, but it gets better. I was lucky enough to snag a £4,000 scholarship during the admission process, which was a massive relief because it knocked a solid chunk off my tuition fees. Honestly, I’m really glad I made the jump. I’m happy with the course, the campus vibe at Hendon, and the whole UK experience. It’s been challenging, but I definitely don't regret choosing this path.

A diverse learning experience with good career opportunities at Middlesex university Hendon
Tips: If you're eyeing the International Business Management course at MDX Hendon, you need to actually dig into the module breakdowns and tuition costs before you commit. Don't just sit around expecting a job to find you either; the second you get to campus, you need to start badgering the university career services to help you hunt down internships and part-time shifts before everyone else snaps them up. Moving over to the UK went pretty smoothly for me, but it definitely takes some time to adjust to the constantly gray weather, the heavy focus on self-directed learning, and the British academic writing style. Honestly though, I’m really glad I chose this program. Living and studying in London has given me a lot of actual, practical business knowledge and completely forced me out of my shell, which did wonders for my confidence and professional communication skills.
Likes (Indian Food): I rated food options for my country five because there are many Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and South Asian restaurants near Middlesex University Hendon. You can easily find Indian groceries and spices in the nearby supermarket as well. A meal in an Indian restaurant costs around £10-£20. While takeaways are £6 to £10. I mostly prefer cooking at home every day to be healthier and save my money by not eating out often. I occasionally eat out in the restaurants. So I do have a good balance with home food and food out.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated part-time work high, as there are good opportunities on and off campus. But the combination may be high in the initial days of the academic year. Many students find jobs in restaurants, cafes, warehouses, and some supermarkets. The average pay per hour is £312-£315. It depends on the role and employers. Overall, in my opinion, part-time work really helps the student gain experience and balance their living expenses.

Great place to learn and grow.
Tips: If you're heading to Middlesex, the biggest reality check is that nobody is going to hold your hand through the academics—it’s heavily focused on you figuring things out independently. You also need to lock down a strict budget immediately because London living costs will absolutely drain your bank account, and you want to start hunting for part-time work the literal second you land since competition for shifts is insane. My own transition was a bit of a shock to the system for the first few weeks, mostly just trying to adapt to the constant British rain, the completely different grading system, and the overall culture shock. What massive helped me out was bagging a £2,500 scholarship during my application, which got knocked straight off my tuition fees and took a huge chunk of financial pressure off my shoulders. Honestly, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. The course and the whole UK experience have forced me to grow up a lot, both as a person and academically.
Likes (Safety): I gave safety a 5 because I’ve genuinely never felt unsafe during my time at Middlesex or while hanging around the Hendon area. The campus has solid security everywhere you look—there's always guards on duty 24/7, plenty of cameras, and you need secure access cards to even get into the university buildings and student accommodation. Plus, the paths around campus are really well-lit at night, which makes a huge difference. The whole student vibe is incredibly welcoming and international, so you feel right at home pretty quickly. Getting to and from campus is a breeze too, since the transport links are right there, and I've honestly never run into any dodgy situations or negative incidents since moving to London. People around here are surprisingly helpful if you ever need directions. Obviously, it's a massive city, so you still need to keep your wits about you and keep an eye on your surroundings, especially if you're traveling late at night. But overall, MDX gives you a really secure bubble to live and study in.
Dislikes (Part time work): I gave part-time work a 3 because trying to land an on-campus gig at Middlesex is a massive gamble. They do have roles like student ambassadors or learning assistants, but there are only a handful of slots and practically the entire student body applies for them. It takes forever to actually get one. If you look off-campus in London, there are tons of options in retail, cafes, or warehouse work, but the competition is still fierce. Most managers out here expect you to have experience already or be completely flexible with your shifts. On a student visa, you're strictly capped at 20 hours a week during term time. You can definitely balance the work with your classes if you manage your time right, and you're usually looking at around £13 to £15 an hour. But actually finding the right job that fits your timetable is anything but easy, which is why it's a solid 3 for me.

Fun and good place to start my uk journey.
Tips: One thing you definitely need to do is scout out the scholarship options early, because Middlesex does offer funding if you look for it. Also, don't make the mistake of just burying your head in textbooks or obsessing over your CV the whole time—get stuck into campus life, join some societies at the Students' Union, and actually give yourself room to grow as a person. When it comes to employment, you need a quick reality check: the university isn't going to hand you a job on a silver platter. Hunting for work is entirely on you, and you have to hustle hard to get noticed in a massive market like London. The biggest culture shock coming from India is the absolute freedom. Nobody is going to chase you down for attendance or babysit your study habits; if you don't motivate yourself to show up, that’s on you. Looking back, despite the hustle, moving to London and picking Middlesex was easily one of the best decisions I've made.

Good college to get into UK
Tips: Good college, but the fee is high and the job market is bad. But if the focus is studying and academic excellence, then it is a very good choice. Good all-round development is guaranteed, and it's definitely a fun place to study. I enjoyed my time here except for the job hunting part. But you cannot really blame the uni for it, though.
Likes (Safety): Very good safe culture and campus. Rules are not too strict but strict enough to make everyone feel welcome and safe. There is security throughout the campus. Haven't even seen one incident of bullying or anything mean happen in my 3 years here. So yeah, pretty safe.
Dislikes (Internships): The job market is very bad at the moment, so basically it doesn't exist. It's hard to find anything, and placements do not really help you get anything much other than help with CV and LinkedIn optimization. It is hard to judge the uni on it as the market is tough everywhere.

Value for money University
Tips: Middlesex University is located in Zone Four of London city. The nearby areas are Harrow. She used to live in Colindale, and it was a 30-minute ride from Colindale by bus. I will get a scholarship of £3000 from the university. The transition was quite smooth for me as I had gotten there. Lived with them and initially started exploring London and kind of became independent from then onwards.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation deserves a full five stars, especially in London city. It is very well connected and very well established. Talking about the rail network, it is one of the biggest and most widespread networks; the buses have great connectivity as well. The buses operate on a flat fare of £1.75 per hour.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The quality of faculty was okay, not on the good side, but considering the money that was spent on the feels, it was worth the money spent. The faculty is from multiple countries. Most of the facilities have good knowledge about their subjects, but a few of them lack the standard.

Overall value for Money University
Tips: The feel and the output of the university are total value for money; initially there was struggle and setting in, but eventually I got settled in and made new friends, so this is how my transition period went. I will receive a scholarship of £2000 by excellence and graduation.
Likes (Internships): Middlesex University has a dedicated placement team that helps a student target and get prepared for the internship. They also provide assistance getting a resume and vital information as well. There are internships available for the courses. The only thing that is needed and which is advised by the placement council is consistency.
Dislikes (Public transportation): I've given four stars for the public transportation talking about the university and activity; it is well connected with the bus network. The 183 bus takes you directly to the university campus. I am living in Colindale, so it was just 20 minutes by bus to the campus. Overall it is well established. I used to buy a travel card for buses that cost me around £16 per week to manage my travel.

The campus is diverse, welcoming and lively.
Tips: Middlesex University offers a diverse, practical learning environment. There may be an initial cultural and academic adjustment but the university offers good support and students are satisfied with their course choices. Maybe the students find it enriching but challenging at first especially to a new study style and communication norms.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are good opportunities both on campus such as student ambassadors and off campus at retail or customer services. Managing part time work alongside academics is generally achievable with good time management as students usually work limited hours during term time.

Good academics and transport system, but limited post-study job and visa-sponsored job roles.
Tips: Students should know that academics are strong and self-study is essential. I think reading books aligned with your curriculum is strongly recommended. There is a clear cultural shift towards independence, group work and diverse peers, which may feel intense at first but becomes rewarding with time and support.
Likes (Public transportation): London is famous for its excellent transportation and superb city connectivity. Affordable student passes and a reliable schedule make it very convenient. Everyone knows about London as its transport system is number 3 in the world. Good facilities.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Limited sponsoring companies, high salary threshold and competition. 95% of graduates struggle to secure employment. Only a small share of employers mainly sponsor in IT and healthcare. This is enough, everyone knows about England and the conditions going on over here.

Student friendly campus and course.
Tips: The location is one hour from London Central but we can reach it by bus or train. Buses are cheap but it takes three to four hours, depending on the peak time traffic. The railway station is also a ten-minute walk from the campus. Student friendly campus. Canteens are also good.
Likes (Part time work): Getting part times is really hard. But you may get maximum support from your professors as they give you guidance and direction. But in this current situation, it is hard to get a part time job. The university also offers many options for the right course vacancies.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many food options available, but if you prefer vegetarian spicy food, the options are rare. The campus canteen offers lots of affordable meals but they are more western style. So I prefer self cooking, which is also affordable. Meals from the canteen are good, by the way.

Good environments and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Know about the academic expectations and campus culture. About the cost of living and teaching style. The academic shift is stricter on deadlines compared to the home university and the food habits, being punctual is important. The change in climate and lifestyle is something to consider.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are from various countries. The academic background is quite diverse and they bring a variety of perspectives into the classroom that helps in making the learning environment more global.
Dislikes (Internships): The university offers some support for internships but the guidance isn't extensive and some internships are only related and help in some field of study, not for all diverse majors or interests of the students. I often search outside.

Vibrant student life with strong community support.
Tips: To date, I have had an amazing experience at MDX. There is nothing as such a cultural shift I face. I got a 20% scholarship when I paid my first tuition fee, it got automatically added up. Applying here and studying at MDX is one of the best decisions so far, also my course as eventually I want to do Ph.D. so it is helping me plan things throughout my postgrad.
Likes (Student Life): MDX environment is genuinely supportive, vibrant and engaging. I feel the university community especially the Student Union, really care about the students' emotional and mental health. Being a Student Vice Leader, we have monthly or weekly activities where we talk about students' concerns and feedback. We have amazing events almost every day.
Dislikes (Safety): Because of certain real concerns that international students often experience outside the campus. The campus security at MDX is strong and well managed but the city itself has areas where security at night or even after 5-6 PM can feel uncertain. Example: phone snatching, pickpocketing, etc.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2026

4.7
Challenging at first but fun and easy going once you settle in.
Tips: Students at Middlesex University should know that when they choose their accommodation, they should consider whether they'll be sharing with a friend, which can be much cheaper than solo accommodations. London has good transportation. You can easily find a bus that arrives every 5 to 10 minutes. They’re open 24/7 and are safe and affordable. The subways or metros are more expensive but run until 12 midnight. The best time to come is between January and April, since there are a lot of part-time job opportunities in the summer. The job market is down between September and December, so there are fewer opportunities to support your expenses. The MBA program is also very good. You get weekly sessions with professionals who are experienced in their fields. They guide the students and share insights on how to get the best jobs. The capstone project helps give students hands-on experience working with companies in London. The university gives students multiple company and subject options and helps them find ones that are best for them. The University also provide the scholarship option where students can get a 2500GBP scholarship in fees. Also, the university helps the student in fee payment options, where they provide the instalment option to students for fee repayment.
Likes (Student Life): Student life here at Middlesex University is the best. I love that there are so many activities on a weekly basis, and the university shares regular updates about them through the MDX application and encourages participation. It’s also really cool that there's a student selection process every year, where students have the opportunity to become student president, student support officer, or event committee member.
Dislikes (Internships): Middlesex University has a department called MDXworks where the team helps students with resume building, feedback on what to mention and what to write in order to attract the best job that suits them better, career counselling, and so much more. In London, there are so many internship opportunities where students can apply, but there's a lot of competition, and your application has to stand out to be selected.

Perfect to gain knowledge and experience new things
Tips: The modules for this course are taught well, starting from the basics so the concept is quite clear for the students. But before joining any course students should know about the university and professors who will be teaching the subject and they definitely should know about their modules. I would advise students to prepare the modules before the course starts as this preparation will help them understand the classes better.
Likes (Student Life): Students can enjoy their teaching sessions and free time equally and mostly they will help us gain knowledge in different topics by conducting Zoom classes. If they want to join in sports they can and to encourage students' health and fit life, they will give free rewards for walking through mdxmoves app.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Everything is taught well from the basics for people who are new to the course. If you are from a different background they will help you learn things easily by providing guidelines like where to start and all. And for the assignments, it will be easier for you as they provide everything they taught in the Moodle app.
