MSc Business Analytics - Batch of 2023

There are lots of student clubs at the university that are quite interesting.
Tips: There was a cultural shift, but UK doesn’t make you feel like that because of the diverse community. You won’t miss out on anything here. Unfortunately, I couldn’t avail any scholarship because I applied late. A lot of my friends did get scholarships up to 100%.
Likes (Student Life): There are a lot of Indian friends you make, so it makes you feel like you’re right at home. I recommend taking student accommodation for this reason. It can be pretty great, in my experience. Plus, there are lots of clubs at the university that are quite interesting. If you’re a cricket fan, you can even play for the university’s team, just like I did.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teaching faculty consists of more European teachers, and the faculty is accessible upon appointment and quite helpful. I would also say that the coursework is a real asset. When you do that coursework, you grasp all the important concepts, and they are quite helpful during interviews.

MSc Mental Health Research and Practice - Batch of 2024

The course is very well designed from point of practical skills and knowledge.
Tips: Prepare well for time management and burnout. Network with all types of people for best results. The course is very well designed from point of practical skills and knowledge. A huge amount of self-study is required to be informed for the growth in the course. The internship structure isn't really a thing, and I have to volunteer for internships to gain experience. While my course has active researchers as teachers and covers various families with case studies, the practice aspect could be better. At the Jubilee campus, the cultural events and student bodies work well to ensure that student life is energised and balanced. The Nottingham environment makes for a great experience, and the staff is always around and kind. Every element needed for well-being is available on the campuses.

4.1
Great academic exposure and supportive environment for growth.
Tips: Before joining the UoN, I suggest students research their course structure, living expenses, and academic expectations. It's also helpful to connect with current students for firsthand insights. Transitioning to life here is quite challenging and exciting at the same time. From academic style to social interactions, it is a big cultural shift. The classroom environment encourages critical thinking and independent learning, which was very different from my undergraduate experience. Adjusting to the UK's extreme & unpredictable weather and food also took enough time. I didn't avail of any scholarships, but the university offers several merit & need-based options. Many scholarships are listed on the university website, and applying early with a strong personal statement and a good academic record can improve one's chances.

A journey of growth and discovery at UoN.
Tips: My study at Nottingham has turned me into a different person with a lot of skills that I lacked before. I am now more confident. I didn’t receive a scholarship, but my course was totally worth every penny I paid. There are a lot of scholarships available, so make sure to apply for them beforehand so you will benefit. My campus was very beautiful and there are a lot of facilities and sport clubs to indulge in to learn new skills. Overall, I am very much satisfied with my course and the UK has become my second home.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is very supportive and always ready to help. The teaching methods include fun games and activities that make it easy to understand concepts. It's a multicultural experience, which will help you grow and learn new skills. You are assigned with a personal tutor who will help you with all your problems. The professors feel like family and are very sweet.
Dislikes (Safety): Some parts of the city were not safe to go alone, especially at night. There were a lot of incidents of abuse reported. In the campus, you are safe, but if you are walking alone outside the campus, make sure to be in groups. Don't carry too much cash.

A worthy experience, academically rewarding and personally insightful.
Tips: While the city centre is busy, the area around the university is quiet, especially compared to India. Also, choose your accommodation carefully because the walk might be longer than expected. The Masters program is short and intensive, so you might feel like you have too much to cover in a short time. The faculty is very knowledgeable and you can get a thorough insight into your paper. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the country, course and university.

Home away from home, just colder.
Tips: The cultural shift was less than expected, but I am an adaptable person so I was fine. I didn't receive any scholarships unfortunately because I applied through the clearing. The course is quite nice, but I wish the country wasn't as cold as it is during the winter.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is really good and easy to use. The campus is well connected with the rest of the city and it is easy to get buses to and from the University as well as to your accommodation. Compared to other cities, public transportation is relatively cheap.
Dislikes (Value for money): It is quite expensive compared to other universities in the country and also compared to other degrees. It is thrice as expensive for international students compared to home students for this specific course, meanwhile, for other courses it's only twice as expensive.

University of Nottingham- Review
Tips: Make a list of everything you need. Plan out your weekly expenses. Stop covering GBP to INR while buying because it would trouble you and would make you conscious of what you are spending. In reality, you cannot help it. These are the basic things you need. Please try to make sure you study more about the course before applying and look at the disadvantage and advantage as well. Don't get swept up by the beauty of the country.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is always available and easily accessible at any time of the day or night. It's 2 pounds per person but if you buy a group ticket with one or two people, it lessens your expenses and it's better to buy on the app because the ticket would remain for 24 hours.
Dislikes (Internships): Not many internship opportunities during the course. The course does not offer you opportunities per se. It does offer some project-based opportunities though which adds up on your CV but overall there are no hospital-based internships or case studies.

M.Sc. Agricultural Economics - Batch of 2025
Offered by University of Hohenheim
4.5
The university is very academically oriented.
Tips: The university is very academically oriented and students who are planning to join this university, please come with a mind to learn, connect, and catch all opportunities. It's important to learn at least B1 German before coming to Germany, as it helps in better opportunities, connections and your better existence here. Students with two or more years of professional experience after their UG can apply for a DAAD scholarship especially for this programme in agri economics. For others, please closely look at the scholarship page on the university website. There are some scholarships that are applicable to Indian students.
Likes (Public transportation): Stuttgart is well connected with public transportation day and night. It's safe, interconnected and well accessible across the region. Regarding affordability, students under the age of 27 can get a reduced transportation card for 40 euros per month to travel all across the country using regional transportation.
Dislikes (Value for money): Compared to other provinces/states in Germany, in Baden Wurttemberg, international students have to pay 1500 euros per semester apart from the normal semester contribution. But, if you want to be at University of Hohenheim and its top-rated course, Agricultural Economics, then yes, it's worth paying. But if you are looking for courses in other specializes of Agriculture, I would suggest looking for the same level of international and academic ratings.

M.Sc. Agricultural Economics - Batch of 2025
Offered by University of Hohenheim
4.4
The University of Hohenheim is Germany’s No. 1 university in agricultural research.
Tips: Finding accommodation way before the visa application or anything. Accommodation in this city is really hard, so try all the ways you can. Always look at the scholarship page on the university website. There are some applicable for Indian students. Try to apply all. Learn at least B1 level German and come to this country, then opportunities are unlimited. Mingle with all your course mates, build a rapport with either university professors or the team which makes it easy to get student jobs. Contact BRICKS for part time and career application at the university website. If you have at least 2 years of working experience after your UG, apply for the DAAD scholarship for Agricultural Economics.
Likes (Value for money): The university faculty is great when compared to other provinces of Germany; coming to Baden Wruttenberg is not considered super worthy. If you get into other universities for the same course or field, go for it. Along with the university comes a reputation that actually helps you while applying for internships and jobs thereafter. But self funding 1500 every semester is a little hard, though you can make it.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time options are very competitive compared to 2-3 years before, due to the high number of immigrants or refugees and international students in this city. Also German language is becoming a must, even for unskilled part time jobs. So, better complete the B1 level German and try coming to Germany.

Lots of events and activities.
Tips: Studying in Hohenheim has been a good experience so far, but you are in for a big surprise, it's totally different from Indian teaching. They value your opinion, appreciate your active participation, and also research paper is a big thing during the lectures. Here in Germany, people respect each other's time and are very punctual. They are not doing their degrees just for the sake of it; they are doing it because they are really interested in the topic. Everything besides Hohenheim gives you quite an international background, and things are pretty hill otherwise. Also, about the scholarship, I didn't receive any, but you can check on the DAAD official site. One more thing, please learn some civic sense before coming, also be more open-minded about things and culture, please.
Dislikes (Indian Food): So, we do have Indian restaurants, but they're not that good. I would say it's pretty mid. Other cities in Germany have better Indian restaurants, and you won't get that authentic Indian food. It's all butter chicken, tikka masala, garlic naan, and cheese naan. That's why I cook at home rather than eat out.

The university is diverse and student-friendly.
Tips: Non-EU students need to pay 1500 per semester for tuition. It can be a bit tough initially, but once you get a part-time job, it becomes easier to manage everything. Master of Science food science and technology - Batch of 2026

2.8
Interesting module structure and possible to cope up with the subjects.
Tips: Students should learn the German language to better integrate and stay active on campus, participate in events, projects and make connections for future opportunities. The university hosts various events and parties, so I suggest attending those and talking to people. Be quick at applying for a job or research opportunities if you are interested, and preparing beforehand helps.
Likes (Safety): The city is safe to roam around even late at night, but one must check all connections to stay safe. Some places in the city are not safe, so I avoid them. There are a lot of places in the city with tourist attractions and Christmas markets, which can be crowded, so I suggest visiting them if you are comfortable in crowds but safe overall.
Dislikes (Internships): There is definitely a language barrier and preference to natives over internationals, which restricts opportunities, and a large intake in the academic year 2024 makes it even harder. But if you are ready to learn the language and take the initiative to go the extra mile, the study will be smooth.

Diverse campus and amazing student life.
Tips: University of Hohenheim is a great place to study. You can meet students all over the country. They have great student accommodation. Hohenheim also have a job committee, who help you with finding part-time jobs, with your CV, and how to prepare for interviews. They also have a student committee called ISO, who organise small trips at a cheap price for students. Being an international student was hard, but the international department was always there to help. The programme I am studying, which is International business and economics, is a great course. It covers all the important topics which are important for the job market. All the professors are helpful and understanding. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Academically rigor and global opportunities.
Tips: You will have international exposure as we are only 7 Indians in my class from 60 students, so you become friends with international people and get to know different cultures and various thinking. I didn't have any scholarships, but there are options where you can apply. German language is a must to study before coming here for getting a job quickly. Overall, I am very satisfied with my course. I got to learn a lot of things, and Germany is very good for work-life balance, peaceful living, calm life, and you can travel all over Germany with that one pass.
Likes (Public transportation): Germany has very convenient public transport you will have access to public transport from everywhere. From my campus, it takes 30 minutes to reach the city by public transport, such as the S-bahn, U-bahn, or bus. As a student in Germany, we can get a monthly travel pass. It costs 31 euros because of the student discount, but it normally costs 49 euros per month. With this pass, you can access any public transportation across the whole country.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are more German or European foods that you can get easily. You can get whatever you want at the supermarket, and there are countless restaurants for you to choose from. Indian food is less available and harder to find here, so you might have to get it shipped from the country. I do my own cooking because it’s cheaper than eating out, and I can cook my favorite Indian dishes whenever I feel like it.

Stress free with high quality education.
Tips: If you get your accommodation beforehand, then it's easier to accommodate in the first few days. Initially, you may feel problems adjusting to the food, weather, and different rules and regulations, but it's very easy to adapt, not that difficult. I got a fee waiver of 70% of my tuition fees. It was based on my Bachelor's score, IELTS score, motivation letter, CV, recommendation letters, and most importantly, the interview. Overall, I am pretty much satisfied with the university, the course, and the country.
Likes (Value for money): It is definitely value for money, because of the high quality educators, infrastructure and technology available at the University. Tuition fee for my course is particularly on a higher side when compared to other courses, as I am not directly admitted to the University, but I got admission through EIT, and it is a mobility programme throughout Europ,e but I think that it's worth it if you can utilise the provided facilities properly.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): In Europe, and especially Germany, the food sector is growing steadily, despite slow economic growth. Once you have a job there for a certain number of years, it is relatively easy to apply for permanent immigration. If your documentation and credentials are in order, you stand a good chance of getting settled. I don’t have any plans to settle down in Germany, but if I had to choose a country to immigrate to in Europe, I’d choose Germany over the US, Canada, or the UK.

Pocket friendly college with respect to the fee structure compared to other countries.
Tips: Learn the language if you would like to blend into the culture of Germany. Also, do your own research in your respected field of study. After finishing the compulsory modules, you can select the modules of the department in which you are interested.
Likes (Public transportation): Germany has a wide range of offers for public transportation. Including bus and trains where we can have a semester pass for a reduced price for being a student. And we can also use our student ID card which can be used as a pass from evening 6:00 to morning 6:00.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): After finishing the master's degree one needs to learn German. As Germany is more into the language so we need to know at least B2 level ofGerman language. College life is good, irrespective of age and race.
Tips: Try to learn the basics of the language and after arriving here, one can take classes and practice with native speakers so that the vocabulary is enhanced. Mail the university or the college contact to be informed about scholarships. Also, they can help with personal hurdles too like finding a part time job to finance ourselves.
Likes (Safety): You will have flyers everywhere and also especially as a girl, it is peaceful to know that the cops and other help are just a call away. The university always helps in any case upon request. If you get to take the buses or trains late at night, a couple of transport cops are always there to ensure safety. Also there is a taxi service provided by the government only for ladies at night.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Most of the jobs require the candidates to speak German fluently or at least well versed in talking to a customer or client, in different situations. Since I am from an agricultural background, the work usually involves talking to farmers, who are generally native Germans and don't speak good English. One other point is to get a driving license which is mostly mandatory for jobs here.
