The University of Hong Kong- The place which liberates you.
Tips: Being a student at HKU has been an exceptionally rewarding experience for me. It changed not only my perspective but also allowed me to think critically. It liberated my ideas, and my thoughts and gave me a platform where I could express myself vociferously without any fear. It boosted my confidence by many, many folds. The faculty at HKU is extraordinary, extremely professional and ethical. However, the general masses in Hong Kong could be cold and reserved. Don't expect that you can be friends with many Hong Kongers. You can though find great people from other countries, including Mainland China. I was awarded the Wong Family Scholarship for pursuing LL.M. in Human Rights from the Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong, and it covered my entire tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses. The living expenses provided is however quite low, i.e. 3000 HKD only, and sometimes it could be challenging to last for a month properly. On a scale of 1 to 10, I am extremely satisfied with my university as well as the course. Both have proved to be wonderful learning experiences for me. Hong Kong is a splendid city, and you get to do a lot of activities, whether it is hiking with random strangers or visiting beaches.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is extremely well connected with the rest of the city. The MTR system, along with the bus services makes the modes of public transportation extremely convenient, safe and affordable. The mini-bus rides are a sheer delight. The cabs can however be quite expensive. Every place in Hong Kong is well-connected. I absolutely loved the public transportation in Hong Kong.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Being a Muslim, I found it extremely challenging to find halal options near HKU. Though there are some excellent halal outlets, most of them are located far from HKU and hence, are not easily accessible. The non-halal food available usually costs around 35 to 45 HKD per meal and is affordable. I used to prefer cooking on my own, as I hardly had many options available. If you are a non-Muslim and okay with eating pork, then I must tell you that food in Hong Kong is going to make your stomach as well as your health fit and happy.

The college environment and accommodation is good but the education is average.
Tips: Students should take admission directly and not through an agent. Before taking admission to any university, please verify all the rules and regulations, such as any language exam, internship allowance, exam rules, and degree qualification. In China, people communicate in their own language, and they don't speak English. This makes it very difficult for foreign students to do internships in China. Also, patients don't understand our language, which adds to the language problem. If you want to do an internship in China, you must pass the HSK 4 exam, which is compulsory. This exam is very difficult and a waste of time for foreign students.
Likes (Public transportation): Students easily get a cab for transportation. Public transportation like the bus is very cheap and convenient, only for 2 yuan. Buses come frequently, and you don't have to wait long. TV screens at bus stops show the time buses are coming and their destination. Trains are comfortable, good, and luxurious.
