Research thoroughly before joining.
Tips: Know wisely, be prepared, and do not think about figuring out later; always have a backup. I did not avail myself of the scholarships but keep an eye out for those. Transition was smooth, depending on the people you find. Be curious, be gentle, be kind and always treat others with respect.
Likes (Part time work): The average payout is the minimum wage recently; it is pretty straightforward to be honest. UCD has many on-campus opportunities but the competition is tough, so be prepared. Even off-campus is not bad at all. The way to manage your work is to have a talk with your managers so that they know your availability, which will make it a little easier. Honesty is work, so do not take things too seriously but be responsible always. Also you can find work on the next day or maybe in 5 months so that is the luck factor.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Depends on the jobs you can find to sponsor. I always stress two things: your luck and experience so if you find one it is great. Always help everyone, no matter who or what race they are from. Be active, respect the community, and be proud of your hard work.

Higher fees and numerous modules in CSNL.
Tips: If you have skills, you can join any college and get a good job. This is a safe option and the only one as far as I know, that gives internship modules in the 3rd sem. TCD is more academically oriented. UCD is one of the most expensive options, but the CSNL has a lot of modules.
Likes (Student Life): It offers a lively, supportive and inclusive environment. The library is good, they have cafes, lots of buildings, a huge campus. They arrange cultural fests like Diwali and Halloween. Excellent campus, lots of options to enrol in extracurricular activities like gym, swimming, sports, etc.
Dislikes (Indian Food): 1 veg option may be available in every restaurant, and vegan restaurants are not good. Taste is below average, and the high cost of living.
I strongly prefer cooking my own vegetarian meals, but grocery shopping prices have been gradually increasing. Some restaurants offer cheaper takeaway and cash discounts.

Global learning experience at UCD.
Tips: Students should know and get prepared for the independent life cycle, cultural shift and much more, be open and you will adapt. Just give some time to Dublin. I got a full scholarship as my marks were above 95 in 12th grade. I am completely satisfied with UCD and I also have a full-time job now.
Likes (Value for money): Student life is vibrant and balanced. A normal day is lectures, practicals, events and food, spending time with friends; you get to meet students from all over the world. There are countless activities and sports on campus. Something for everyone so be open to everything.
Dislikes (Part time work): The faculty at UCD is highly approachable and supportive, professors are always open to questions and always challenge us to think out of the box, we have faculty from almost all the nation, the teaching way is a very practical approach. Assignments are also pretty smooth.

It is a really good option for those who want a multidisciplinary experience.
Tips: You will be quite busy due to assignments and exams but if you manage your time properly, you will have a lot of time for yourself. There is a housing crisis going on so start searching for accommodation as soon as possible. Due to current attacks on Indian students, you must be prepared to face some racism also as it is quite common in city centre area.
Likes (Student Life): Student life here at UCD is quite good. I have joined a few clubs like dancing and the international students society which also takes us on several trips. Our college organised several events such as a job fair to help us connect with different companies and their recruiters.
Dislikes (Internships): Getting an internship in my field is difficult even when you have experience. And international student companies usually prefer candidates who don't need sponsorship and are permitted to work full time. Initially, stamp2 people are permitted to work only 20 hours.

Tips: I haven’t availed any scholarship.
I'm working part time.
It's going to be hard but you've got to keep working plus learning even if your economic condition in India is between average and rich.
The university work gets really piled up, too much work in too less time.
Likes (Safety): I dont know about living in the city yet I live at university so I feel safe all the time.
The campus is huge and you almost get everything on campus you dont have to go anywhere else.
But I've been around and buses and all the hot areas have heavy security.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are more Pakistani restaurants than Indian restaurants; moreover, the prices are skyrocketing.
Food doesn’t taste as it used to in India.
Some places like Andra Bhavan are really good for the taste but the prices aren’t for students its too high.

A demanding but valuable masters at UCD.
Tips: Before joining UCD, students should be prepared for a rigorous and fast-paced academic environment, especially in my course, which involves heavy coursework in quantitative subjects and coding. While scholarships are competitive and based on academic merit. I am very happy with UCD and the quality of education, and the exposure Ireland offers in terms of career opportunities and a welcoming international student culture.
Likes (Part time work): I rated part time work as 5 because there are many opportunities both on campus and off campus. The working hours are generally flexible and manageable. On average, part-time jobs pay around 11-13 euros per hour, which is helpful for covering basic living expenses.
Dislikes (Safety): I rated safety as 2 because there are limited patrols and emergency facilities in some areas of the city, and I have experienced situations where public transport and street felt unsafe after dark. Although I have not faced any major incident personally, I believe better lighting and more police visibility would help students feel more secure.

Tips: Be prepared to find jobs on your own; university only helps tailor your resume. You may face racism issues from your professors too. The transition was more difficult than expected. It takes time for you to adjust academically. Support services exist but they are often slow.
Likes (Student Life): On campus facilities are bad. One of the biggest issues is the cost of living. Rent is absolutely on the higher side. The following was my personal experience: I went to a restaurant, where they have a student discount. But later I realised that the food which they were offering was less than a normal meal.
Dislikes (Internships): Low exposure as internship opportunities are not facilitated by the university. Career services provide generic advice but there are no direct placements or internships. Students are expected to find a job on their own and hunt for an internship on their own.

Helpful and friendly people.
Tips: This college is a prestigious college and has many advantages. It helps you build your character for the outside world and also teaches you a lot of things. The people in the college as well as the professors are really helpful and make you a smart and charming personality. The public transportation here is good but the frequency of buses is quite low. There are delays in transportation often times and therefore you have to manage your travel way in advance. Sometimes the connection buses to the location get cancelled or delayed but it's okay if you are travelling in advance. Good experiences.
Likes (Safety): The people around here are very good and helpful. The security concern is not a big deal because I live on the good side of the town. There are some issues in the city centre but they can be dealt with if necessary precautions are taken. The gardai are helpful and prompt in their response.

Tips: UCD is a strong, well respected university with excellent facilities and industry exposure but students should be aware that Ireland has a high cost of living and part time jobs are not guaranteed. The transition was challenging at first, as people are more reserved but it helped me grow in confidence and independence over time. I received a 10000 euro merit based scholarship based on my academic profile. I am very satisfied with UCD, my course and Ireland, as the programme is practical and career oriented and the country offers a safe environment and strong job opportunities.
Likes (Public transportation): UCD is very well connected to the rest of Dublin by multiple bus routes that run frequently throughout the day, making it easy to reach the city centre. Buses are reliable and affordable with a Student Leap card. This covers almost all parts of the city.
Dislikes (Internships): UCD offers good support through career fair, CV help, and employer events. The internships are highly relevant to engineering management and attract top companies. However, competition is high and there is no direct placement system, which makes the student responsible entirely for the job application MS.

Tips: There are a lot of Indian students here so it feels like home. I got an international Student Scholarship of 4500 and I am very much satisfied with the course since the ratio of course fee and the Job salaries is on the higher side. Beware of the visa situation that your course offers.
Likes (Student Life): You have access to a lot of facilities and students from various backgrounds. I generally love going to libraries and the Student Centre which is in the Village. I participate in a lot of society events, ranging from Filmsoc to dramasoc, lawsoc, literary soc, and PolSOC.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you are in a course that comes under a critical skill, you will get a job very easily such as in Engineering or medicine. The package range is between 35,000 and 60,000 for freshmen. There are lots of tech and pharma companies in the Dublin tech hub of the EU and you can get a decent job from an associate role to any managerial role depending on your qualifications.

A great learning experience.
Tips: The buses in Dublin frequently face delays including hours of delay, cancellations and route changes that aren't well announced. My university being away from the tram station, the only option to commute is Buses. It takes me 70-80 minutes to travel to university for a distance of 7 km. The faculty are well experienced and have expertise in the subjects they teach, follow academic rules and guide students beyond academics. The teaching methodology, although varying from faculty to faculty, has always been a good experience for me. The faculty are from diverse nationalities, though the majority are Irish. There is no such concept of placement cell here, rather nowhere in Ireland, the jobs post studies have to be found only through my own effort. UCD do have a career support cell, but their help is limited to CV polish or other interview preparation sessions and organizing career fair. The on campus accommodation at university is more costly than off campus, but are very safe.

There are not many openings for part time on campus.
Tips: There are multiple bus connection college from the city centre and other locations. The students leap card allows you to travel 90 minutes for just 1 which is applicable on bus, DART, and Luas, where in this 90 min duration, you can switch multiple buses or between different modes of public transport. I received a scholarship of 7,500 which was given to me by the university for my profile. I am fairly satisfied with the university course, it provides hands on learning and pushes you out of your comfort zone. The job aspect can be better, where more support can be given to students.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are not many openings for part time on campus and it is challenging to find such jobs and even if you find one, it will require a lot of requirements. Most of such part time will require you to be available on weekdays and there might be high chances of class will be on same time, which will lead to missing out on lectures.

Tips: It is a great opportunity to connect with international students and the research oriented faculty. There are many opportunities to grow at the university in whichever direction you want to go. The curriculum is revised every year to include new courses that are beneficial for students in the long term. Students without prior industrial experience can also gain experience through working student roles at the university and research institutes. Students who secure a good GPA of 9 and above (Indian grading system) can apply for scholarships. I am very satisfied with my university and the opportunities it provided me to learn, explore and grow. The course is quite good and you have access to industrial tools to get good exposure during the masters programme. This helps you in getting internships and other rules while studying. Germany is quite welcoming and I am happy to be here.
Likes (Post study jobs): The university is located in Saxony state in Germany. There are a lot of opportunities in the semiconductor domain as there are multiple startups, university spinoffs and MNCs. Dresden is a hub for the semiconductor industry as it plays a pivotal role being part of Silicon Saxony. Analogue and digital design, verification, research and semiconductor technology related jobs are available once you complete the masters programme in Nanoelectronic systems. Salary packages vary from company to company, roughly between 50,000 - 75,000 per annum. Salary is negotiable based on your skill set and experience in the domain in which you will be working.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking food myself as there are less options in finding Indian cuisine. It is quite expensive to have food from restaurants while you are in student. There are restaurants providing Italian, Mexican, Greek, Indian, Asian and other European cuisines. Rates vary from restaurant to restaurant, depending on the dish you order. A dish can cost you anywhere between 5-30 roughly.

Amazing university for Nanoelectronics students.
Tips: There are multiple scholarships and programs available for building a network which helps a lot to find part time job and even full time job. Networking plays a major role. The course is easy if you regularly study and do not study just during exams, like an Indian college's approach.
Likes (Value for money): It's a public university, therefore there is no tuition fee and the fee we pay during the semester is for a semester ticket, which is used for public transport all over Germany. You dont have to pay any exam fee or utilities fees so basically the education you acquire is completely free of charge.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants are very few and among them, only 1 or 2 are worth the money therefore I prefer to try different cuisines outside such as Italian, Mexican, etc or else prefer to cook all by myself an Indian food, which makes it worth the taste.

Multi-dimensional, good networking opportunity and great research opportunity.
Tips: For the ones who have lived all their life in India, cultural shift will definitely be there. But it is also based on how much open one is to the experience and well as flexible to trying new things and adjusting to it, while also remaining their core values. The first semester goes on very quickly, so people need to stick to their routine and not get carried away by the external things too much. Enjoyment is good, but if the goal is for a good education and a job afterwards, then it needs to be focused. There are several scholarships like DAAD, Erasmus Mundus. They usually pay for everything, although it is competitive. There are some partial scholarship as well which can be availed once someone gets enrolled to support their traineeship/internship, semester abroad, supporting master's thesis, buying laptops etc. The course is very multi dimensional so if you need to get specified knowledge in one field, you need to pick your electives wisely and opt for a semester abroad, if possible.
Likes (Public transportation): The entire city is well connected with public transport. Plus now, the deutschland ticket provides access to all local and regional trains (except high-speed ones), buses, tram, ferries, ropeways etc. throughout Germany. As a student, the amount is within the semester contribution, so one does not have to pay anything extra, after that it's about 60 euros/month.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated 4 because part time jobs are available, but most of them require at least basic German language skills, specially the ones involving customer interaction. A part time job of 10 -20 hours/week is quite manageable, if one plans their schedule well and follows a structured timetable. There are several options of finding part-time work: TU Dresden job portals like STAV, and external job agencies like Nexgenjobs, eBay Klienenzeigen etc.

Likes (Value for money): There is no tuition fee at TU Dresden, as it is a public university. Also, it is one of the top 9 technical universities in Germany, making it the best university for international students. There are many English courses available, with great support from the university.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market is a little tough to crack at this moment. The job postings do have a lot of jobs, but they are primarily jobs in the electronics industry. For some roles, you might be able to negotiate an internship that could eventually be a full-time job, or you might be able to find a student job and later negotiate a full-time position with that company. Additionally, if you can manage to learn some German, it would give you a leg up on the competition.

There's an Indian association to help you with your accommodation and university boarding.
Tips: The transition was smooth. People here are independent, punctual, reserved, polite, friendly and welcoming. There are cultural differences, and it took time to adapt. I didn't get a scholarship because my university is free.
Likes (Safety): Germany is, in itself, a safe country. There are emergency helpline numbers for various concerns, such as well-lit street lights and an emergency department at the university. If we have any safety, mental, or health concerns, we can easily go to them. Police patrol the street, and I haven't encountered any accidents yet. Most of the people I've met here are kind and helpful to outsiders. In every city, there's an Indian association, just like in Dresden when I first arrived. I was a new student, and a study buddy was assigned to me. He literally helped me with everything, from accommodation to my university boarding.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are various types of restaurants around, including Indian, Turkish, Italian, and various fast-food options. The price range is from 5 to 15 euros per meal, depending on the type of restaurant. I prefer cooking for myself because it is more affordable and healthier than eating out.

Stressful and highly demanding coursework.
Tips: If you really feel you can opt for research-oriented programs, please go for it. This program demands high prerequisite knowledge. I did apply for a scholarship, and for that, you need a couple of prerequisites. Do not come in the mindset that you can finish your master’s in 2 years. It’s a myth. The trams and bus connections are very well connected and organised. From my dorm, I need to go 45 minutes to my university. The tram connections are usually great. You get buses and trams immediately, and the wait time is comparatively low. This is especially true on weekdays, but weekend service is much less reliable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking by myself as I am able to cut down a lot of living expenses through that. The restaurants around my locality start from 10 euros minimum per meal, which is basically my half-week or a week's worth of grocery money. Try to save up as much money as possible, but don't be frugal in food.

Tips: It is really easy to come and live in Germany as a student. The city of Dresden is filled with students of various cultural backgrounds. As a student, you will always have someone to ask for help. TUD is brilliant and there is a lot of room for students to explore before choosing their desired course of study.
