Great opportunities and growth.
Tips: I haven’t availed any scholarship.
I'm working part time.
It's going to be hard but you've got to keep working plus learning even if your economic condition in India is between average and rich.
The university work gets really piled up, too much work in too less time.
Likes (Safety): I dont know about living in the city yet I live at university so I feel safe all the time.
The campus is huge and you almost get everything on campus you dont have to go anywhere else.
But I've been around and buses and all the hot areas have heavy security.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are more Pakistani restaurants than Indian restaurants; moreover, the prices are skyrocketing.
Food doesn’t taste as it used to in India.
Some places like Andra Bhavan are really good for the taste but the prices aren’t for students its too high.

It’s a very good experience to learn and grow, meeting people from different origins and cultures.
Tips: I did not get any scholarship. It was quite hard at first because of the weather conditions and the food but after a few months, you start to enjoy it. I'm very satisfied. A demanding but valuable masters at UCD.
Tips: Before joining UCD, students should be prepared for a rigorous and fast-paced academic environment, especially in my course, which involves heavy coursework in quantitative subjects and coding. While scholarships are competitive and based on academic merit. I am very happy with UCD and the quality of education, and the exposure Ireland offers in terms of career opportunities and a welcoming international student culture.
Likes (Part time work): I rated part time work as 5 because there are many opportunities both on campus and off campus. The working hours are generally flexible and manageable. On average, part-time jobs pay around 11-13 euros per hour, which is helpful for covering basic living expenses.
Dislikes (Safety): I rated safety as 2 because there are limited patrols and emergency facilities in some areas of the city, and I have experienced situations where public transport and street felt unsafe after dark. Although I have not faced any major incident personally, I believe better lighting and more police visibility would help students feel more secure.

Great academics, but start your housing search early.
Tips: Before joining, be aware that the housing market is very dangerous so secure your accommodation whichever you get. The transition was smooth because people are friendly here though the weather is bad. I received a scholarship which helped reduce my fees. Overall it is not worth coming to Ireland.

Very uneconomical as it has poor value for money.
Tips: Be prepared to find jobs on your own; university only helps tailor your resume. You may face racism issues from your professors too. The transition was more difficult than expected. It takes time for you to adjust academically. Support services exist but they are often slow.
Likes (Student Life): On campus facilities are bad. One of the biggest issues is the cost of living. Rent is absolutely on the higher side. The following was my personal experience: I went to a restaurant, where they have a student discount. But later I realised that the food which they were offering was less than a normal meal.
Dislikes (Internships): Low exposure as internship opportunities are not facilitated by the university. Career services provide generic advice but there are no direct placements or internships. Students are expected to find a job on their own and hunt for an internship on their own.

Pretty hectic courses.
Tips: The culture is very different from my home country. The course is pretty hectic to manage alongside part-time and household chores. The course content is good but fast-paced, as it is a one-year course. Jobs and internships are pretty scarce and employers expect some background experience before joining them even as an intern. Recommended to gain some work experience before pursuing a masters here.

Helpful and friendly people.
Tips: This college is a prestigious college and has many advantages. It helps you build your character for the outside world and also teaches you a lot of things. The people in the college as well as the professors are really helpful and make you a smart and charming personality. The public transportation here is good but the frequency of buses is quite low. There are delays in transportation often times and therefore you have to manage your travel way in advance. Sometimes the connection buses to the location get cancelled or delayed but it's okay if you are travelling in advance. Good experiences.
Likes (Safety): The people around here are very good and helpful. The security concern is not a big deal because I live on the good side of the town. There are some issues in the city centre but they can be dealt with if necessary precautions are taken. The gardai are helpful and prompt in their response.

A powerful launchpad for driven students.
Tips: UCD is a strong, well respected university with excellent facilities and industry exposure but students should be aware that Ireland has a high cost of living and part time jobs are not guaranteed. The transition was challenging at first, as people are more reserved but it helped me grow in confidence and independence over time. I received a 10000 euro merit based scholarship based on my academic profile. I am very satisfied with UCD, my course and Ireland, as the programme is practical and career oriented and the country offers a safe environment and strong job opportunities.
Likes (Public transportation): UCD is very well connected to the rest of Dublin by multiple bus routes that run frequently throughout the day, making it easy to reach the city centre. Buses are reliable and affordable with a Student Leap card. This covers almost all parts of the city.
Dislikes (Internships): UCD offers good support through career fair, CV help, and employer events. The internships are highly relevant to engineering management and attract top companies. However, competition is high and there is no direct placement system, which makes the student responsible entirely for the job application MS.

Student friendly and value for money.
Tips: There are a lot of Indian students here so it feels like home. I got an international Student Scholarship of 4500 and I am very much satisfied with the course since the ratio of course fee and the Job salaries is on the higher side. Beware of the visa situation that your course offers.
Likes (Student Life): You have access to a lot of facilities and students from various backgrounds. I generally love going to libraries and the Student Centre which is in the Village. I participate in a lot of society events, ranging from Filmsoc to dramasoc, lawsoc, literary soc, and PolSOC.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you are in a course that comes under a critical skill, you will get a job very easily such as in Engineering or medicine. The package range is between 35,000 and 60,000 for freshmen. There are lots of tech and pharma companies in the Dublin tech hub of the EU and you can get a decent job from an associate role to any managerial role depending on your qualifications.

A great learning experience.
Tips: The buses in Dublin frequently face delays including hours of delay, cancellations and route changes that aren't well announced. My university being away from the tram station, the only option to commute is Buses. It takes me 70-80 minutes to travel to university for a distance of 7 km. The faculty are well experienced and have expertise in the subjects they teach, follow academic rules and guide students beyond academics. The teaching methodology, although varying from faculty to faculty, has always been a good experience for me. The faculty are from diverse nationalities, though the majority are Irish. There is no such concept of placement cell here, rather nowhere in Ireland, the jobs post studies have to be found only through my own effort. UCD do have a career support cell, but their help is limited to CV polish or other interview preparation sessions and organizing career fair. The on campus accommodation at university is more costly than off campus, but are very safe.

There are not many openings for part time on campus.
Tips: There are multiple bus connection college from the city centre and other locations. The students leap card allows you to travel 90 minutes for just 1 which is applicable on bus, DART, and Luas, where in this 90 min duration, you can switch multiple buses or between different modes of public transport. I received a scholarship of 7,500 which was given to me by the university for my profile. I am fairly satisfied with the university course, it provides hands on learning and pushes you out of your comfort zone. The job aspect can be better, where more support can be given to students.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are not many openings for part time on campus and it is challenging to find such jobs and even if you find one, it will require a lot of requirements. Most of such part time will require you to be available on weekdays and there might be high chances of class will be on same time, which will lead to missing out on lectures.

Best curriculum with top notch faculty. Industry ready curriculum and lot more opportunities.
Tips: A lot of Asian stores are open in all cities. And there are a lot of Asian restaurants too. There are many food channel also which delivers food to your doorstep. You can also cook at home as you are getting all the Asian food items at a lower price. Research the course curriculum in which you are planning to do your Master's or graduation. There are lots of modules and electives, so plan according to your future goals and then apply for that course. Consider whether the modules have an internship or not. Also research the faculty. Good experiences so far.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are limited on campus part time jobs. It's easy if you get part time job on campus then it will save a lot of time which can be utilised for study. The average payout is 14 euros per hour which is dependent on the company and job timings. Definitely you will get the minimum basic pay.

There is a lot of competition for off campus part time.
Tips: Coming from India where everything is fast paced and here things are a bit different, from communication with people to traffic rules and other cultural shocks. For my course I didn't get a scholarship. Usually no one in this masters programme gets a scholarship. This is one of the highly technical programme concentrations mainly on mathematics and statistics.
Likes (Indian Food): There are lots of cafes, food trucks and Delhi in every place. With a wide range of options in rolls and wraps. Most of these cost around 5 to 10 euros. Since I'm a vegetarian, I always prefer eating homemade meals. The vegan diet is more costly compared to a normal meal.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are difficult to find. There is a lot of competition for off campus part time, you need to apply for a lot of jobs online and go to stores and give your CV in person. Usually, employers or managers require you to be available on weekdays but you will have college during that period. Average pay is from 13.5 to 14.25 per hour.

Tips: Great student life and great potential as well. I have personally grown a lot and learned things covered beyond classrooms. There are tons of clubs and societies to keep one engaged and feel part. If you're looking for sponsorship, it is going to be challenging especially if you have a background in arts. Food can get expensive so splitting groceries and cooking will be ideal here. People are friendly as well.

Don't come to Ireland if you're looking for jobs or permanent residency.
Tips: Be open about studies, food, weather and culture. Mixed culture environment. It is different from India.
I got a 2,000 scholarship. It depends on grades.
At university, you have loads of stuff to do, different societies, and events.
The course especially related to placements are very bad. They don't help unless they know you exist. Not worth 15-30 lakhs INR.
For cultural experience country is very nice and the people are nice. There's racism in some parts of the country. The weather is very bad.
Likes (Safety): Very safe for women, at least in Cork. You can go out late at night. Wear whatever you want no one's going to judge or harm you in any way. For other cities there's racism sometimes. And some parts of the city are not safe. There's stabbing and loads of things are going on in the name of racism. But Cork is safe.
Dislikes (Internships): There will be no university placements when you apply for the course. 3/10 help from faculties with the jobs. If they know you exist they might refer you somewhere. Specific attention is given to food science and it's easy for them to get a job compared to other courses. Don't apply for finance or data science or data analytics courses, there won't be any international exposure, you'll just find Indians.

Very few companies offer sponsorship.
Tips: Rent is high, you might end up paying more, so you need to have your savings.
Getting part time is not easy; it might be more difficult than internships, unless you network properly.
Studies are not at all easy; there were many who failed in our batch because they could not handle both part-time work and studies. You need to invest some time in studying.
Likes (Internships): I had to search for internships on my own; the college didn't help me exclusively, other than arranging career fairs that inform you about companies, but don't help you as such. I had to apply almost every day for internships, and I landed one because I had prior work experience. It would have been way harder if I were a fresher.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Very few companies offer sponsorship. All kinds of software jobs are available. Packages offered depend on experience, company, and also the job role. A junior can get anywhere between 30000 euros and 60000 euros, but visa sponsorship is less. The competition is high for each role as there are many talented professionals.

Tips: Students planning to join (UCC) should know that it is a research-intensive university with a strong academic focus especially in life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical research. The Biochemistry and Biosciences programs are rigorous and research-oriented so students should be prepared for independent learning, critical thinking and laboratory work.
I did not receive a scholarship but UCC offers several merit-based and international student scholarships. These typically require strong academic records and are awarded automatically or through a separate application process. Some scholarships offer partial tuition fee waivers ranging from 2,000–5,000.
I am highly satisfied with my experience at UCC. The university offers strong academic support, modern laboratory facilities and exposure to advanced research methodologies. The Biochemistry and Biosciences program is well-structured and aligns well with current industry and research demands.
Ireland as a country is safe, student-friendly and research-driven, particularly in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical sciences. Cork, being a student city, has a welcoming atmosphere and good quality of life.

We have really nice campus.
Tips: You should be really good at English. Please check if you can get any scholarship. Your tuition fees will be reduced. I am very satisfied with my university. Our course is great. As we all know, Cork does not have great weather. You should consider that.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teachers are really good at their job. Some might show racism. It happens rarely. They are really supportive. Helps you with your doubts. Communicate very openly and friendly. About diversity in terms of nationality is okay. Not that diverse.
Dislikes (Student Life): Our classes are at 9 am and then sometimes around 5-6 pm. Around 12- 2, we have a lunch break. We don't have college every day. It's like 3-4 times every week. We have many clubs. You should join them and learn some new things you are interested in.

Planned risks for your dreams.
Tips: Take a minute to really understand what you want for your future. Does the course you are having on your kind bring you any closer to the career that you have in your mind. Is it giving you a boost for the career path you are on. Don't solely take a course because the masses refer to it. Even a course that is not that popular but aligns with your history would definitely be a game changer. A course that's totally unrelated to what you did for your Bachelors or your professions won't get you a job in that stream without relevant experience. Do a proper and detailed check before learning in. Because financially, this would take some time for you to recover and get back on track.
Likes (Part time work): UCC supports part time. They even provide you with part time tutoring opportunities, with very good pay. Also there are good part time opportunities overall. Will have to struggle initially, but with time things will shape really great. Everyone I know got part time. It's not going to be easy, but things will work out in the end.

There are plenty of great Indian food places in Cork city.
Tips: The course duration is very short and you can't have every experience during those few months. If you can put your head down for the first two semesters, it's smooth sailing forward. Don't worry about part time job, partying or repaying your loan during the college term. You can do that very easily if you complete your college properly.
Likes (Indian Food): There are plenty of great Indian food places in Cork city. Very authentic South Indian and North Indian region specific restaurants are available. We can also get all the ingredients we want here at very similar prices. So do not carry basics like price and daal from India. Use that luggage space for something else.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships for Master's are not really a thing in Ireland. Most Irish kids do their Internships during their final year in high school and a few during under graduation. What is common is working for the company you do your project with. Those technical facts as an internship for Master's.

Tips: I became more disciplined and able to manage time well. There are cultural shifts but only positive. Got a 2000 scholarship from the university on the basis of work experience and my undergrad score. I am totally satisfied with my university; I got to learn a lot in finance. They teach us the things that we do and need in the real world, not just unnecessary theories as they do in India.
Likes (Student Life): The university campus is really big and beautiful. It is so green and peaceful. We also have sports facilities in the university. Gym, swimming, football, basketball, squash, etc. I have 3-4 days of classes per week. One class is 2 hours each, and I have a total of 6-7 classes in one week, which is quite manageable. There are events at every festival, recruitment event, and social event. I have joined the commerce club and the volleyball club.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Here we have less options for food as compared to India, also eating outside in India was feasible. Here it's too expensive. At least 6-10 a meal. There are some Indian restaurants in the city as well. I cook myself most of the time, because it is more affordable and healthy at the same time. Eating outside is not at all an affordable option but sometimes on weekends, I eat outside.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty under my department and course were really helpful and knowledgeable in their own field. The diversity was not so large, all subject teachers were Irish except one, who was Chinese.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): After completing a Master's degree, generally the job package is offered between 28,000-35,000 euros if you are a fresher or have 1-2 years of experience. The international companies are ready to give a sponsor visa but the competition is really high. The local and small scale companies do not consider giving sponsorship.

The faculty are helpful and the campus is diverse and vibrant.
Tips: Students should be prepared for the weather, it can rain anytime and it's cold and damp. Staying away from home can be depressing in this weather but there is a strong presence of the Indian community on both campus and the city so participating in social events helps a lot. You will be able to manage the academics, there is no pressure. Managing part-time, accommodation and personal life can be challenging. The accommodation crisis in Ireland is real so be prepared for challenges. It's easier to get a job sooner than decent accommodation at a reasonable price. The campus is huge and beautiful. You can enjoy the world-class facilities and architecture. My academic experience was very good and I am happy with it. I was busy with part-time work and other personal commitments. I would have liked to enjoy the facilities and campus more often. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): Safety is a major concern for students and Cork City is committed to the well-being and safety of foreign nationals, especially students. I have never felt unsafe at any time of the day or night during my course. Public transportation, connectivity and street are well-lit for the public.
Dislikes (Value for money): It's an expensive course which costs around 17000 euros for a year. For a European student, the cost is less than half. The salary of a graduate role or an experienced professional has decreased drastically in the last few years and when compared to the cost of education for a year which is somewhere near 25000+ euros is not exactly glamorous. Students need to be very strategic in their decisions to make this a profitable investment.

Tips: Life is struggling in Ireland. The transportation system isn't very good, and the cost of tuition for non-EU students is high. Likes (Safety): Ireland is generally very safe with low crime rates. However, there is always room for improvement. The city and university provide various safety facilities, such as well-lit streets. During my time in Ireland, I never encountered any serious safety concerns.

Tips: First of all, I don't know how to do cooking. I have managed to do it somehow and yes, we have to manage a lot of things on our own.
We can get a normal University scholarship here. I am satisfied with the learnings from people belong to different backgrounds. Course's syllabus is industry relevant. There are so many things which we learn when we move abroad. I personally got to learn so many things about food and culture in Ireland.
Likes (Student Life): It depends on the which day of the week and when does the class begins. I typically start my day going to college library and then to classes. There are lots of cultural events being organised in the college, as well as in the city. In the month of September, there is a cultural night and also every year in Cork city, there is a Jazz festival wherein all the music artists come. If we talk about clubs and communities, lots of clubs and students from different nationalities are a part of them including sports and consulting. And of course there is an Indian society as well.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There any many Indian food outlets in the city. I prefer cooking instead of going out as it is cheaper and convenient. I prefer going to grocery store and do grocery shopping for a week and then cook which can be a time-consuming thing, but it saves a lot of expenses.
