MSc in Business Analytics - Batch of 2025
3.6
There is no placement support for MSc in Business Analytics.
Tips: There was a huge cultural shift here. Initially I was finding it difficult here to get accommodated but if you get the right people around you feel at home. I did not avail any scholarship but there are people who were offered scholarships it was based on their previous academics.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is available with a frequency of 10 minutes from morning to evening to the city centre. Also to other cities from my city with a frequency of 1 hour. Public transport for students is at a discounted price here when compared to the normal prices.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is no placement support for the course I have done and most of the courses are the same, although you get a Masters degree in a year it is very difficult to get a job in your domain. There are career fair taken place on the campus, but they would be mostly for the undergraduate students.

University of Limerick is a welcoming campus with solid academic and a great student life.
Tips: As an international student the transition was smooth. UL has a welcoming multicultural environment and supportive International Office. Ireland's friendly culture made settling pretty easy. I didn't avail any scholarships but options like the Global Excellence Scholarship are available for eligible students though competition is fierce. I'm very satisfied with my course, the campus facilities and living in Ireland in general.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is well connected to Limerick City via bus Eireann routes which is a reliable bus company here with buses running frequently throughout the day. A student Leap card makes it affordable at around 0.65 cent per trip. Bus is the main mode of transportation along with taxi. Getting around is easy and budget-friendly by bus for students.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus jobs like teaching assistants and ambassador roles exist but are limited and competitive. Off- campus, there's plenty of retail, hospitality roles in Castleroy, Limerick, the place where I live currently. I have worked part time at JD Sports Ireland. Most employers are flexible and pay is around 14.20 euros. Balancing work with academics is manageable if you plan around exam periods and heavy coursework weeks.

A rewarding academic journey.
Tips: Students must research about course structure, modules under the course, living costs, transportation, cultural aspects, accommodation, and the job market for the particular field. One must learn the work culture practised here. A scholarship is usually provided to every student in most of the universities.
Likes (Value for money): High quality of education, affordable living compared to other countries, post graduation opportunities and many student facilities. Most of the universities provide a good amount of scholarship to every student. It is comparatively lower than many other countries, where you have a 2 years Masters degree.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland offers clear pathways for skilled workers especially in healthcare, tech and engineering but the competition is high so the process might be slow. If you have a job in the demanded field, the chances for permanent settlement are much higher.

Vibrant campus and peers.
Tips: UL is student-centric and is one of the biggest campuses in Ireland. There are a lot of opportunities to meet people from different courses, and it makes your time there valuable and wisely spent. Everyone on campus is welcoming and I haven't faced any racism or discrimination during my stay there. I didn't avail any scholarship.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All the faculty are Ph.D. holders and have very deep knowledge in their subjects. They are very approachable and provide suggestion to our career path. Each faculty has its own methods of teaching, and most of the courses are a mix of theory and lab sessions.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting an on-campus part-time job as a lab assistant is very difficult, and off-campus opportunities as a student is also very limited. Part-time pay is the basic salary decided by the government. Students are allowed to work max 20 hours during the student term.

College is fantastic. You will enjoy your college life for sure.
Tips: College is very good. No stress, it's just about full time jobs after college. If someone has more than 3-4 years of experience, this country is very good. But if you are a graduate (fresher), then please think twice before coming here.
Likes (Student Life): I feel everything is good as students, we will get part time jobs easily and the accommodation part is sorted. And the college culture and staff are supportive. We never need to worry about assignments because you will easily do that with little effort.
Dislikes (Internships): I have observed in the last 3 years that I have not seen students who have pursued Masters and got internship opportunities. So for graduates student who don't have industry experience, the internship and job opportunities are very limited. So internship wise its not the best country itself.

Peaceful and beautiful environment.
Tips: Make sure to pay tuition fees and accommodation fees on time. Before the conversion rate increases day by day, also make sure to know more about Ireland before entering, especially for freshers. Choose your course wisely also consider how the job markets are to understand if you are availing a loan .
Dislikes (Internships): The university will only help in conducting a career fair; they won't arrange for an internship or job opportunity. We have to explore by visiting career websites and applying for the job which includes both internships and full time. Job opportunities so be prepared for all guys.

A well balanced academic and international student experience at University Of Limerick.
Tips: Look for the right course and look for the opportunities after the course near the town. Look for the accommodation and also the overall staying cost over there. The University of Limerick offers scholarships and also government of Ireland also offers scholarships.
Likes (Internships): UL has a good staff and clubs for internship opportunities and the needed environment for the same. The available internships and graduation roles are pretty much relevant, as they have an entrepreneurial club, a student centre and also a post gradual student union.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is a pretty good number of companies that offer a sponsor visa, like the Big 4, which are present here and also other UK based tech giants are present here; there are good probabilities for visa sponsorship. Salaries differ with job roles, which are normally in the range of 35,000 to 65,000.

Really good and enjoyable to study.
Tips: Students should research the course, grading system, living cost and part time opportunities before joining as this helps ease the transition. Settling in was smooth though there was a noticeable cultural shift in terms of more direct communication and active participation in class. I received a university provided scholarship.
Likes (Student Life): It was a really good experience you can get while studying. University life is full of learning; every day, there was something new and exciting. Every week, there were different events and different clubs organised these events. I was a part of the badminton club.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are multiple opportunities for experienced candidates but quite difficult for a fresher. It will take around one year after studying to get a job. Nursing roles are good here easy to find and get. Some problem to tech people who have zero experience.

On campus part-time jobs are very limited.
Tips: I want the Indian students to know that be prepared to see a lot of Indian students on the campus. Many students will feel comfortable when you know that the people you can talk to in your native language will be there. The University does provide some scholarships during the admission process itself. I got a 10% scholarship. I am extremely happy with the University, my course and the beautiful country of Ireland. But beaware of job scarcity. Graduation jobs are very hard to get. People with 5+ years of experience will have it easy, but it may be hard for fresh graduates or with 1-2 years of experience. It's not impossible, but very hard. You may face a lot of job rejections initially.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian stores, where you can find most of the food ingredients or food products from India. This is a relief to many Indian students present in University of Limerick. I prefer cooking for myself rather than buying food outside every day. There are also ready made food options like frozen parathas, pizzas and garlic naan, which need a little bit of cooking in the oven and are ready to eat.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part-time jobs are very limited. Getting them is difficult. Offcampus part time opportunities are present. Part time work can be hard to manage along with academics as the academics are rigorous. But careful time management can make it happen. The average payout is the minimum wage, which is 14.5 EUR as of 2026.

Likes (Safety): There is no harassment or any blackmail in Limerick. I can safely walk at night anywhere and the people are so kind and has helping nature that one should appreciate and helping nature. People talk so kindly and give respect.
Dislikes (Value for money): Things are a little expensive and the cost of living is very expensive, where students can't afford it and it will help someone who has less financial background and the transportation for cabs is also a little bit where one student can't afford.

Tips: Cultural shift is absolutely there in whatever part of the world you're going to. I availed a 2000 euros scholarship as an Indian student. I am very much satisfied with my course as all of my professors are great and the course is well structured with an industrial oriented.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The University of Limerick is very much accessible and approachable regarding the faculty members and the departments. Teaching methodology is completely self learning based and practical learning with relations to the industries with the latest technologies.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting on-campus part time jobs is not easy or very limited. You get part time jobs only offline. Likes (Safety): You can roam in the university at 2 am-3 am without worrying. The university has 24/7 security. Accommodation also has 24/7 security. Public transport is safe and reliable. The country has strong law and strong emergency services. There are clear support system .
Dislikes (Value for money): The quality of teaching is great. Part time helps cover expenses. Long term benefits are quality education, global exposure and career prospects . Experience is valuable. On the expensive side but the education level is fine. Facilities and academic are excellent.

Ideal for career focused International students.
Tips: Students should know that UL is a very student-friendly and practical university, but it expects you to be independent. You have to manage deadlines, assignments, internships, and even part-time job applications yourself. The transition was smooth academically, but socially, it took some time. The teaching style here is more practical and assignment-based rather than exam-focused, so I had to adapt to continuous assessment and group projects. I received a 2000 euros scholarship from the university. It was awarded based on my previous academic profile and overall background at the time of admission. There wasn't a separate application; it was considered automatically during the offer stage and was adjusted towards my tuition fees. I am genuinely happy with my decision.
Likes (Part time work): I rated part-time work a 5 because UL and Limerick in general offer plenty of opportunities for students, and it's quite easy to find something if you are actively looking. Compared to many other places, the availability and pay here are really good. There are decent number of on-campus jobs at UL, like working in the Library, student support centres, cafes, etc. Off-campus, there are even more options, most students work in retail stores, supermarkets and restaurants around the city. Managing part-time work with academics is quite doable as long as you plan your week properly. The average payout is 14.15 euros per hour, which is the standard student wage here and is really helpful in covering living expenses.
Dislikes (Internships): I rated internships a 3 mainly because opportunities are available, but you really have to be proactive and put in your own effort. The Careers service is helpful, and they do provide guidance. There are workshops on CV building, LinkedIn, and interview prep, and they regularly share internship openings through the portals and emails. Overall, support exists, and the opportunities are good, but it's not guaranteed, which is why I felt a 3 was fair.

Fun loving college with many clubs.
Tips: The UL is actually the Republic of Ireland's oldest university. As an educational institution, it's decent, if exceptionally vocational oriented. Its professors are usually of a high standard and are intelligent people, in Maths, in any case. The curriculum they teach is not. It balances out. The campus is stunning, by far the nicest and most modern in Ireland. The lecture theatre is noticeably more comfortable than most. If you had a choice between this and most non-Russell group universities in the UK, choose this. If it were a choice between here, UCC, Trinity or UCD, choose one of the latter three.
Likes (Student Life): UL has over 100 clubs and societies. You name it and you'll have one for it here. From the tea appreciation society, where you just sip tea with biscuits, to the sky-driving club, where you are taken to different destinations with your clubmates to actually experience the adrenaline rush of sky-driving. And even if you don't find a club for what you want to do which is almost impossible, you can create a club for it.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): In Ireland, for STEM fields like Civil, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, etc., it is better to study at UCC, UCD, NUIG, TCD, TU or DCU rather than here if you are international, then definitely. Facilities and job prospects are better at the latter and these universities are situated in outstanding locations. Also, many faculty members, since they have a PhD from the University of Limerick, do not promote further research and dispel the students. They are not progressive and are unaware of the market situation and demand. Just because most are old does not mean they are good. In research, faculty members blame the pupils, Master's, and PhD students for their own competencies. You can be supervised in structural design by someone specialising in fluid flow, as there is no one to question the faculty members for providing a choice of projects. The case of recognition of the University of Limerick internationally is heavy marketing and advertising and not quality of education or providing proper support to the students. After a year here, a lot of students had the opinion that several YouTube videos provide better knowledge and experience of engineering fields than here, for free.

Limerick is one of the safest cities in Ireland.
Tips: It's a great university. One thing I would want to let students know is that it has many clubs/societies for students, like the International Society, the Consulting club, Enactus, Economics society, so do actively participate in these as it would hone your soft skills.
Likes (Safety): Limerick is one of the safest cities in Ireland though it is in the countryside. Apart from campus security, the locals here are too kind and would always hold the door for you and smile, greet you while walking, totally opposite of what is being shown on Instagram.
Dislikes (Part time work): I am personally actively looking for on campus part time work, which I can showcase on my resume, such as an RA, Educational tutor, etc. Whose opportunities I found minimal; However, if you are looking for work at retail outlets, there are many.

Student friendly college.
Tips: Accommodation and transport facilities are good when you are staying off campus. People are very friendly and the lecturers are very nice and understanding. Very liberal and friendly faculty. Students are also very supportive. College has post graduate students union which organise parties.
Likes (Safety): I think it's safe because no one will attack us. I did not have any experience with such bad conditions. There are houses nearby, streetlight and people on the road are very helping mentality people. They care about us and are not discriminating towards us.
Dislikes (Public transportation): There are not enough buses from our village to the college. Buses are less. We have to wait a lot. If the class is at 10 am, we should take the bus of 8 am bus and just simply sit in college for 1.30 hours and also after 6 pm, then the last bus is 9.00 pm so this is the issue with transportation.

Positive student life but uncertain future.
Tips: Thoroughly enquire about the courses and their outcome before blindly choosing the programme. Not all programs are great up to the expectations. Visa policies and part time opportunities often pose a problem for students when they arrive here. Utilise the time to do research on these fundamentals of existence here. Education and earning are both important, do not compromise on either.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors are highly competent and knowledgeable and friendly to approach. They have a high value of respect for humility and gratitude. Some professors are helping students to understand the concepts very clearly despite teaching hours and class schedules.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Lack of opportunities in relevant field makes it vulnerable to sustaining a permanent settlement option. Prt time opportunities are there but its not student friendly at times forcing students to not focus on academic obligations including exams and assignments. These part time work opportunities doesn't guarantee a long term settlement option providing a visa status or permanency in the field of study.

Great student life and a diverse environment.
Tips: Research your course and make sure your education and work experience prepare you to make the most out of the platform you have as a master's level student in a different country. The faculty and facility are world class. It really comes down to how you capitalise on the opportunities. Don't expect anyone to spoon-feed you.
Likes (Student Life): There's always a lot of extra curricular activities, social events and overall a very welcoming environment for international students. I personally made the most of this as a student ambassador. I attended socio-cultural events, made a video, took photos, and did volunteer work. This has been a valuable life experience, and I also won a gold medal with the student ambassador programme.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): You are pretty much left to your own for networking and connections to find a job. There's no formal job placement. There are some amazing lecturers who can help you get better leads for jobs through their contacts but there's no formal process for placement.

Tips: Research your course viability, keep your finances in order, keep looking for internships and build your profile accordingly. Because a diversified profile will go a long way. So make sure to plan in a way where you have contingency plans for contingencies.

Good experiences and growth.
Tips: I have learned a lot in my time spent here and that includes classroom hacks to budgeting trips which have helped me in getting through student life. Classes are well conducted and very feedback driven so if you ask professors for extra assistance and show them your dedication to learning, it can really benefit you. Socialising is easy because of the number of club activities and mixers that keep happening.

Student culture and life is good.
Tips: My experience has been peaceful, exciting and I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience here. Some modules can feel repetitive but the labs are good and research is taken seriously. You can also gain on field experience here based on your course and department.
Dislikes (Internships): Sometimes you can get an internship through career services or professors but most of the time, internships have to be figured out by ourselves. The job and internship prospects are limited mostly but if you get any here, they're usually really solid.

Safe and good community here.
Tips: The environment here is supportive, people are welcoming and the city is very safe so the culture is very student oriented and friendly. You can approach professors and faculty directly and they are usually very responsive and direct. Career support here can be better and more specific to our needs. Otherwise, the sense of community and people are great here.

University life abroad is good and fun.
Tips: The programme here is very academically strong and professors are great mentors. There are some hidden gems around campus and locals are pretty friendly as well. Pretty calm and good for youngsters to pursue their education. Coursework was crazy intense during the first semester and that took me a second to adjust. Lectures are interesting although assignments can be very research based.

Great for media studies.
Tips: Cardiff is a great place to study journalism if you're truly passionate. You'll meet many like minded people and the faculty here is among the best and well known in the journalism world. Some of our lecturers have been former BBC journalists so the insights you gain here are truly valuable. Accommodation can be busy and kind of noisy because of the student population but if you're into media, this is a great option.

Structured and studious.
Tips: Cardiff has a very studious, peaceful vibe and there is a lot to learn in this setting. It has many student friendly things to do and the classes are organised in a systematic manner. Some professors are more flexible in the sense that they allow retaking assignments and extra credit to help boost your grade. Some programs are better known here than the rest but solid experience.

Positive learning environment.
Tips: The business school is well known and so are some of the other majors but I have noticed that the classwork leans more towards a theoretical side as opposed to being more practical which can sometimes limit your learning. Being proactive is important and you'll need to show interest and initiative to stand out not just in the classrooms but outside as well and that's where most of the networking happens.

Nice and peaceful place.
Tips: I had a smooth and comfortable transition here with no major cultural shocks. Space and sizes aren't as big as expected but the city is very friendly and safe. The campus is walkable and you'll be moving around for classes a lot. There are some good hiking spots nearby as well. We tend to cover more of the theory in classes but ultimately, it plays a role.

Safe and affordable.
Tips: I have not had any major cultural shocks other than keeping up with the local accents and timings of places. The university offers a pretty solid education and is better priced than others which has been a plus point. The city is very student friendly as well and not too far from London as well.
Dislikes (Internships): For internships, you'll have to be more dependent upon yourself rather than the university and there are openings but you'll need to have a solid background and projects mentioned in your CV and recommendation letters at times as well from professors.

An incredible space of learning and growth.
Tips: It is very different from what I learned and how I used to learn. I was prepared for a fast-paced learning environment where the focus was on practical applications rather than theory. Learning in this way was difficult at first, but I did get used to it eventually. One area of difficulty was the scholarship. I didn't get one, so I had to pay for all of my education expenses. People are more reserved in public, but they're very warm once you get to know them. Also, try to look out for accommodation as soon as you land. Besides, the faculty is highly knowledgeable, approachable and supportive.

Great place to study and work.
Tips: The weather is one thing in which you experience the change as well as the lifestyle of the people around you. Also, the language is also the barrier that these people have with the accents of here. I got the scholarship of 3500 GBP which was a great help that was availed at the time of admission. It is mentioned in the CAS letter. I am very satisfied with my course and future opportunities in the country.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport in Cardiff is very good and timely. It has a day pass option as well, which is nice. Another great feature they have is the public transport app, which tells you which buses go where, and their departure and arrival times. As far as price goes, it's reasonable -- not too cheap, not too expensive. I think it's about 4.5 GBP per day.
Dislikes (Internships): As far as the internship part is concerned, the student union helps students get jobs, but we have to be adequately skilled. Also, the Student Future department helps students. However, this assistance is only provided because students are also supposed to eagerly look for jobs, but this assistance doesn't always come through because the opportunities are limited. Therefore, you need to be patient.

Multidimensional experience and advanced concepts.
Tips: You will feel lonely and it is hard to adjust but know that the university has a lot of services and resources to help you adjust better. Try and be more social in the first few weeks to break inhibitions and join social for the first year as much as possible. The university is known to have a good student community and it stands by it. There is something for everyone on the campus from club nights to arts and crafts events. Very buzzing campus. The city centre is vibrant and has many activities to do. It is not impossible to find part-time work in the city, but it is difficult. You need to look in the right places. You can look for opportunities on or off campus. In the city centre, there are many opportunities for casual or permanent work. Overall, I am certainly satisfied with my experiences.

Fun and filled with challenges!
Tips: Everything depends on your mindset and willingness to adjust, its not gonna be easy at all! Every course has some scholarships for international students. There will be lots of cultural shifts, they will change you as a person. I am satisfied with the course/country 7.5 on a scale of 1-10.
Likes (Post study jobs): Not many companies would want to give you a sponsored visa if you don't have work experience in the UK depending on your niche, sponsored jobs can vary from 4-6% (i.e only that % of your course strength might actually land in a sponsored job).
Dislikes (Part time work): In this economy and high rate of immigrants, finding a job part-time isn't that easy. It might take you a few months 3-6 depending on your applications and effort. You can earn about 700-800 3 per month if you work 20 hrs per week. Very manageable with studies if you're a hard worker.

Cardiff University is amazing in terms of study and student life.
Tips: The transition was very smooth, my peers and teachers were very friendly and I was able to make amazing friends. I had a scholarship for academic excellence (90% in 10th and 85% in 12th). It was a scholarship of fee education by 33000. My University caters to my every need, the faculty on my course is spectacular and Cardiff is very easy to travel in and amazing for student life.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are all very experienced, pioneers of their fields, friendly and helpful with students. There is so much to learn from them. We have office hours for doubt clarification and professors frequently reply to all your doubts by email. The teaching method is very interactive and makes the subject really interesting, the professors like using real life examples to connect us with the concept. The faculty is very diverse and they are friendly.
Dislikes (Value for money): The international fees is obviously quite a lot but you do get some very good opportunities and interact with some of the leading researchers in Physics which kind of makes it worth it. The fee is reasonable compared to other UK universities and hence provides fairly decent value for money.

The struggle is real. Not fit for freshers, come with experience.
Tips: The course was pretty basic. So I think just know how to struggle. I am not satisfied with the course and country due to bad situations. Also, housing crisis is going on. No scholarships were provided. Cultural shift is real. Please don't come if you are fresher. They charge for graduate VISA as well. Now they have increased the fee to 3000 pounds.
Likes (Student Life): Overall student life is fun. There are Bollywood parties, you can play football in the park and enjoy with your friends roaming in the UK. There are multiple events like diwali, holi for Indian students. Also, lot more things, you can play cricket, go to trips etc.
Dislikes (Value for money): No part time jobs are available. No professional jobs, as a fresher, you need 1-3 years of experience. You should not come to UK for I think the next 3 years. Also, teaching is okayish. Don't come if you are expecting salaries like USA. You have to buy graduate Visa for 3000 which is valid for 2 years. Public transportation buses are cheap, trains are costly.

University of quality education with best ethics.
Tips: You should have confidence in your choice of course. You should figure out a way to do some part time work so that you’ll be able to fulfill your needs. You should also check out things about the environment near the college/ university like discrimination etc. Also, research the programme you want to enroll in.
Likes (Internships): Discrimination free environment with helpful folks. Student life of university was very good as everything what student needs during their time at the university like problem solving environment, sports activities both indoor & outdoor games, library, cafeteria & other activities are provided.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I experienced best in quality of faculty. Faculty of the university, focus on practical things more than the theory works. The best part of faculty is that they are very helpful in nature and they suggest and guide very clearly that help students.

Open minded, understanding and student friendly university.
Tips: The course is very interesting, and I am enjoying the variety of modules that help me understand the field in and out. However, the on-campus accommodation is very expensive, very far from the university, and very small. I would highly recommend taking off-campus accommodation, either student housing or private accommodation, as they are more spacious and price-friendly. I also received a scholarship for my first year of 2000 pounds. Scholarships are available for all years of study, provided you score first class. The country is not very welcoming, the locals are racist, and the weather is always depressing. You rarely see the sun. I am satisfied with my university experience at Cardiff University.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The professors at Cardiff University are very nice and always willing to help students. They are approachable if you schedule an appointment in advance. However, unlike in India, where students are used to being spoon-fed every detail before an assignment, here you are expected to do your own research and then come up with your own solution. This approach helps develop critical thinking and patience, which I appreciate and find to be a unique aspect of this university. On the downside, the faculty is not very diverse; they are all white, with no black, Chinese, or Indian professors.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is very difficult to get a job in the media field as a fresher. None of the companies were willing to offer me a job unless I got a work visa. The average salary offered by the company in this field is 24,000, which is not enough at all. Many jobs for administration and part-time bartenders and waitresses are being offered, but only a few professional jobs are available. Hardly any company would give you a job for who you are as an international student. If you're extraordinarily smart and confident, you might land a few interviews. But none of the companies want to give a chance to international students.
