Global MBA - Batch of 2024
3.9
Limited english courses; understanding professors and staff; a great learning experience.
Tips: There are several kinds of opportunities, particularly for international students, to get a scholarship. Some are offered by your department, university and some by external institutions like GKS, Samsung scholarship, etc., in collaboration with the university. The University website is well updated with all information required regarding available scholarships and eligibility criteria, admission requirements and process, and also the graduation requirements. There are limited English courses available, depending on the department. So, contact the department of your choice to check for the availability of your desired courses in English, especially if you are not comfortable with classes taught completely in Korean. Note that Yonsei University is considered one of the most English friendly universities in Korea. University life completely depends on the department and/or professor of your choosing. Some departments may require TOPIK qualification to graduate after admission; check with your department. Some students prefer to do an exchange program first to get to know the University before applying. If that is possible with your current university, I'd recommend doing that. Yonsei Professor's recommendation is extremely valuable to improve the chances of admission and scholarship. The university doesn't offer campus interviews, but they do hold something like a job fair every semester. Many great companies visit the university, set their booths up, to explain about employment opportunities for students at their company and will guide you about the off campus application process. Despite the shocks and experiences, I am satisfied with my University choice, as it led me to overcome challenges, learn to adapt quickly in a foreign environment, supportive professors and staff despite the language differences. I met many kind people on campus and in Korea, in general, who helped me learn many things about cross-culture working and how to be resilient to achieve m
Likes (Safety): I felt very safe on campus and in the neighbourhood I live in, even during late night walks. People generally mind their own business but safety precautions like key card entry, pattern locks, emergency alarms, security staff and cameras are in place on campus. From my experience, Seoul is generally a safe city, except for a few places at odd hours. Which I believe is very normal in any city. Seould's dependable public transportation system and helpful security and staff do their best to ensure we are safe from their end.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time jobs are very limited in general. And being a foreigner with limited Korean knowledge makes it much more difficult as most of the part time roles available require high Korean fluency, even for a TA. With the exception of a few professors willing to conduct a few/selective courses in English.

Master's in Food Science and Technology - Batch of 2026
Offered by University of Turin
4.1
Fun-loving and studious university.
Tips: Students interested in attending this university should enquire about the university student dorms. Private accommodation can be quite expensive. Also, make sure you find out about the campus location; the university has multiple campuses, and choosing the right housing can be difficult. The University of Turin has different clubs and students are from different areas of the world. The university conducts activities every 10 to 15 days, such as hiking and other fun group activities, and the environment is very healthy. The local people are also very supportive.
Dislikes (Part time work): While it's doable, part-time jobs can be tough to manage as we have classes scheduled from 9 to 5. The biggest challenge is that most part-time jobs require you to be physically present, which is exhausting after a full day of classes.
