Due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases, US universities have either shut down their campus operations or have shifted classes online. The Embassy of India/India Student Hub has issued an advisory for Indian students who may be impacted by this. This advisory is based on information available as of 8th-April-2020. Students can also gather the latest news from WHO, the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC), and stay in touch with their respective universities for the latest information. In addition, students can also follow guidelines and advisories issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for India-specific updates.

For any emergency, students can contact the 24x7 Consular Emergency helplines issued by the Embassy or Consulates per their present location. Also, in order to help Indian students during the COVID-19 crisis, the Embassy of India Student Hub has established a non-emergency Peer Support Line. Details for these are given at the end of the advisory.

The advisory has covered all the aspects concerning students like housing, financial assistance, access to various services, matters related to the US government, Travel related concerns, safety, and health-related concerns.
