Applicant must have completed initial studies in electrical engineering, energy technology, renewable energies, mechanical engineering, physics or related degrees
- Proof of knowledge in the following subject areas to the following extent (e.g. through official module descriptions from the university):
- Measuring technology amounting to at least 4 semester hours per week (SWS) or 5 ECTS points and
- Control engineering to the extent of at least 4 SWS or 5 ECTS credits and
- Fundamentals of electrical engineering comprising at least 4 SWS or 5 ECTS credits and
- Electrical machines amounting to at least 2 SWS or 3 ECTS credits and
- the usual mathematical fundamentals underlying these subject areas
- At least three of the four modules that demonstrate the respective specialist knowledge must also be completed with at least a grade of 2.7 or, in the case of another grading system, a comparable grade (70% of the grading scale used)
- A grade average of at least 1.8 for the first degree
- If the grade average is between 1.9 and 2.3, a special examination will be carried out on a case-by-case basis. To do this, a letter of motivation in German or English (approx. 500 words) and, if necessary, further evidence of subject- and course-specific qualifications must be submitted
- Applicants with an average grade of 2.4 or worse will receive one Rejection
