The Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) is a private higher education Institution with Campuses in Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid. Many students choose BSBI for its practical, career-focused teaching style, flexible intakes, and international student community.

So, how hard is it to actually get in? The short answer: not very hard. BSBI is a private University in Germany, and it does not use strict grade cut offs like public German Universities do. How Selective is BSBI

BSBI’s selectivity works differently from most of the Universities. Instead of one strict cut-off score, it scans at the student’s overall profile, education, English language proficiency, transcripts.

Acceptance Rates at BSBI for Indian Students

BSBI does not have any published official acceptance rates but as per few unofficial resources the acceptance rates at BSBI ranges between 60% to 85%. These numbers are just the estimates and not the exact values or facts.

Why BSBI is Easier to Enter than any Public Universities

  • BSBI does not require any GMAT/GRE Scores

  • BSBI does not use Germany’ Public University Grade-cutoff system (Numerus Clausus).

  • BSBI review applications all year round, across several intakes, instead of one single deadline.

These three facts are the basis of why getting into BSBI feels easier than any other University.

BSBI Entry Requirements for Indian students

Before you apply, it helps to know exactly what BSBI checks during admissions-

Indian students are now required to give dMat Exam if they are applying for Master’s program at BSBI.

  • Prior Qualification – A school leaving certificate that allows entry to higher education (Abitur, IB, or an Equivalent) for undergraduate and a recognized bachelor’s degree for postgraduate program.

  • English Proficiency – IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or TOEFL iBT 80, or PTE 59, DET 105, for bachelor’s and master’s program. Executive MBA applicants need IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0

  • German Language Skills – Not required for admission necessarily. All BSBI courses are taught fully in English. BSBI does offer optional, complimentary German Language classes to help students settle in and improve job prospects in Germany.

  • Documents required – Certificates and transcripts, CV, a one- page motivation letter, passport copy, and for PG applicants, 1-2 letters of recommendation.

  • Standardized Tests- GMAT and GRE are not mandatory for any BSBI Program.

A helpful tip for Indian students, if your Bachelor’s Degree was taught fully in English, BSBI may accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter from your college instead of an IELTS or TOEFL score.
