University of Tokyo Undergraduate Admission Requirements

• Submit your official high school transcripts
• Meet the English language proficiency test requirements
• Additional test scores for ACT/SAT (optional)

University of Tokyo Graduate Admission Requirements

• Must complete a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Meet the English language proficiency test requirements
• Additional test scores for GMAT/GRE
• A Resume?
• Provide Two Letters of Recommendation
• The university also asks you to submit Two Essays

Students who fail to pay their tution fees on time at UTokyo may get their enrollment at the university removed. This means losing the student status and the Japan student visa.

Students are often put on a grace period if they fail to make the payment by the specified fee payment deadline. Failure to pay the same during the grace period can lead to the cancellation of registration.

Students can apply for a tuition fee deferral to postpone the tuition payment. Contact your school/faculty at UTokyo to know more.

Yes, students can change their course/major at UTokyo. However, the process varies for both UG and PG students. At UG level,  changing a programme usually requires students to pass a internal transfer exam and interview.

Changing a major at the PG level is usually not allowed. Students need to withdraw and then reapply to their new PG program.

¥642,960 (INR 3.8 L) per year for UG, ¥520,800-¥535,800 (INR 3.1 L-INR 3.17 L) per year for PG and ¥804,000 (INR 4.76 L) for Law School students.
