Studyabroad.shiksha.com got in touch with one of the students – Nikhil, who joined MBA Program with a scholarship at The Simon Fraser University.
Profile and University Admit
I applied to six universities in Canada for pursuing the MBA Program. I applied to HEC Montreal, Concordia University, University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Keller School of Management and The Simon Fraser University to pursue the MBA Program. I received admits from five of the universities and finally, I decided to pursue MBA Program at The Simon Fraser University. To add to my joy, I also received a scholarship of 7000 Canadian dollars.
How did you come across Shiksha Counselling Services?
While going through the list of colleges and different countries online, I came to know about Shiksha. I got a list of colleges on the Shiksha website. The list of colleges, countries and eligibility criteria was categorized well on their website. I submitted my details on Shiksha's website and my counselor contacted me and the process started. Earlier I was not sure where I should go for it. However, gradually the trust building started as I was not forced about anything related to the application process. My counselor shared the list of ten universities as per my score. She gave me the options and it was up to me to select the universities where I wanted to apply. During the whole process, I was never pushed for anything. She was always very cooperative.
How was your experience with Shiksha counselor?
When people pay money for these services, they are asked to prepare each and every document on their own, however, it is not the case with Shiksha that’s the kind of trust I have experienced here. I actually suggested people to go and log in to Shiksha and register themselves because once you are satisfied then only you recommend any service to anyone else. I was also apprehensive about their service as it was free but gradually, I ensured an end to end satisfaction according to my needs and the services I required. My counselor informed me that these services are free and I was not sure to hear this as at that time as I was not aware that these kinds of services can also be availed without any cost. I received a call from a counselor from a different agency, I asked her why you are charging money when Shiksha is giving it for free? They told me if they are offering the services without any cost then the quality of the application and the essays will not be up to the mark. However, my counselor from Shiksha was always in touch with me and reminded me to work on the LORs and Essays.
Describe Shiksha in three words?
The very first thing which comes to my mind is Quality, Proactive and it’s Free.
Nikhil is going to pursue the MBA program at The Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. Studyabroad.shiksha.com wishes him a fruitful career.

According to the student review on the unofficial web, pursuing a PGDBA is not a great option in Canada, and pursuing an MBA is far better than that. However, international students who are looking for an affordable option can choose PGDBA from Selkirk as they offer programs way cheaper than other SPP colleges in Canada. In addition, Selkirk College has supporting faculty members and smaller class sizes which means students will get to learn a lot with assignments and projects and get three years to showcase their talent to grab the best career.
