Popular Vocational courses in Canada
Canada is one of the countries where studying professional and vocational courses is more popular than degree courses. The programmes help give a push to one’s career and are offered at comparatively lower fees and shorter duration time than the degree courses. Canadian institutes offer online professional and vocational distance learning courses for international students who don’t want travel leave their country. (Word of caution, check with the university about their policy of accepting international students for distance learning programmes. They differ a lot among universities.)
Students pursuing vocational course in Canada are eligible to work on-campus throughout the school year. That allows students to earn money and gain valuable work experience. When foreign students have lived in Canada for at least six months, they are eligible to apply for employment off-campus (conditional). This allows students to work up to 20 hours per week off-campus during the school year and full time during college holidays.
