About Moscow State University
Moscow State University is a public research university located in Moscow, Russia. Established in 1755, it is one of the oldest Russian institutions of higher education. In 1940, it was named after Academician Mikhail Lomonosov (1711-1765), an outstanding Russian scientist, who greatly contributed to the establishment of the university in Moscow. It was ranked #87 in the QS World University Rankings 2024 and #95 by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024. Lomonosov Moscow State University is home to 40,000 graduates and about 7,000 undergraduate students.
