The SAT exam fee includes the SAT registration fee which is USD 68 plus a regional fee. The SAT exam fees are bifurcated, and the original SAT exam fee in India includes the regional fee (for India) + taxes. SAT Exam Fees in India 2026

The SAT exam fees in India are divided into three categories and are charged as follows:

Thus, the SAT exam fees of USD 130.98 or INR 12,500 approx. There is no variation in base SAT fee, but regional fee may vary. So if you are appearing from Delhi you will have to pay SAT fee (base) and the regional fee along with sales tax. Once you complete the SAT application, you will have to pay the fee. The SAT examination fees are fixed. However, SAT exam fee waivers are applicable for a few Indian students, depending upon their annual family income. For more details, check SAT Scholarships. As per College Board, SAT exam fee will be the same till December 2026. In case of changes, the website and portal will be updated.

Before registering, ensure you check the current exchange rate for SAT exam fee. The SAT exam fee in India is also paid in US Dollars, so have necessary cards to make the payment.







How to Pay SAT Exam Fees in India?

You can pay SAT registration fees or other related fees on College Board website by logging in. Payment modes accepted for SAT fees include:

  • Credit Cards: College Board accepts SAT fees through American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay, and Visa from Indian applicants.
  • PayPal: Those who have a PayPal account can also use it for SAT fee payment in India. In case you don't, you can create an account before starting with SAT registrations.

SAT Cancellation Fee 2026

Other than the SAT registration fee, there are other SAT exam fees like the SAT cancellation and late registration fees. All other types of fees related to the SAT exam 2026 have been discussed below:

If you want to change your original SAT test centre after registration, you will have to pay USD 34. You can change the test centre by calling College Board's customer service number also. This does not include SAT date change. 

If you wish to change both test centre and SAT date, then you will have to cancel the current registration and re-register to select a new date and centre.

Candidates can request them by phone or mail. This standard fee for additional score report requests will apply to each score report that you'd like to include with your order

For digital SAT score verification, applicants can call Customer Service at 866-756-7346 (U.S. and Canada) or +1-212-713-7789 (all other countries).

In short, Indian students have to pay an initial SAT exam fees of USD 68 followed by the taxes. The SAT exam registration fee is subject to change depending on the current currency exchange rate by College Board, without prior intimation.

College Board does not give an option for SAT exam rescheduling. Earlier, there was an option, and applicants could pay a minor fee and reschedule their SAT exam. But this has been scrapped. There is a straightaway cancellation charge. You may also see a waitlist option of USD 0, but its not applicable for Indian applicants. So choose SAT exam dates and centres carefully to avoid any additional or rescheduling charges.

No, Indian students or international students cannot pay SAT fee though EMI or through any part-payment option. Applicants have to pay full SAT fee in one go when registering for SAT exam on College Board's website.

Q:   Does College Board accept part fee payment for SAT exam at the time of registration?
A: 

No, College Board does not accept any part payments for SAT exam fee registrations. Rather the applicant will have to pay the entire amount together that too online via a credit card or through PayPal. There is no provision of accepting part payments for either SAT registration or SAT registration cancellation or for SAT exam date postponement. Applicants should ensure they have enough funds to be able to submit for SAT exam fees and that the transaction doesn't abort in between. Thus, applicants should keep the minimum amount in the bank account and pay accordingly for the SAT exam fee.
