James Cook University, Singapore was established in 2003. An international campus for Australia’s well known James Cook University, the campus has steadily grown in popularity and ranking across various faculties. With the same academic vigil as promised in its Australian counterpart, JCU, Singapore has achieved a respectability amongst the highly competitive and academic structure of Singapore’s Education System. Essentially, the university attracts volumes of International Students. To further facilitate their journey, the university offers a slew of scholarships. One amongst them is the Scholarship for Indian Students with commendable academic records.

About Scholarship

James Cook University, Singapore conducts scholarship tests across India to help the students with their study abroad plans. The university offers scholarship grants amounting to S$16,050 for master’s degree aspirants in the field of business, IT and tourism. It also offers grants to bachelor students to the tune of S$23,832 in disciplines like business, IT and Psychology.

Scholarship Tests

The scholarships are given to meritorious students based on the tests conducted by the university in the month of February each year (since the past 6 years). These tests are of two hour duration and test the student on their English Language Skills and Aptitude. The question paper is based on multiple choice questions which essentially covers 4 topics, namely,

  • Antonyms
  • Sentence Completion
  • Mathematics based questions
  • General Knowledge Questions

Q:   How can I apply for NUS Singapore from India?
A:

Applications to all the courses offered by NUS are done via online application portals of the university. Check out the steps below to see how to fill undergraduate and postgraduate applications on dedicated portals:

Undergraduate Students

International applicants need to follow these steps to apply to an undergraduate programme at NUS:

Graduate Students

International applicants need to follow these steps to apply to a graduate programme at NUS:

Step 1: Sign up on the university’s application portal at inetapps.nus.edu.sg/gda2/Applicant.aspx/Account/SignUp.

Step 2: Click on ‘Create New Application’ and choose the following:

  • Programme type
  • Faculty
  • Programme
  • Department
  • Specialisation (area of study)
  • Source of finance
  • Specify in case of ‘other source of finance’
  • Academic load

Step 3: Read the instructions from the faculty/department/school carefully.

Step 4: Fill up the information as stepping through the application process.

Step 5: The system will perform an application completeness check for the selected programme.

Step 6: Once the above steps are completed, fill up the declaration section.

Step 7: Click on the 'Submit' button in the declaration page to complete the submission.

Step 8: To make an online payment for the application/acceptance fee and view details of your application (e.g. application status and admission status), click ‘View Application/Make Payment/Submit Reply on Offer of Admission’ at the menu on the left.

Step 9: To make changes to basic programme information for an application, click ‘Edit’.

Step 10: To apply to multiple programmes within the same application cycle and to change the order of preference, please click on the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ links as required.

Yes, INSEAD accepts admission applications from all across the globe including India as well.
