It is a good university.
Tips: Skill up is important. There are multiple scholarships available. Look up the university website. Start working on your CV, interview skills as soon as possible. Most of the university courses have group activities, presentations. Most of the exams are based on real life case studies.
Likes (Student Life): We get to meet people from all over the world and it is incredible to know about their culture, diversity, etc. The university organises events to help students meet, these are fun events. Celebration of all festivals are done. The annual 2 day party is fun.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no options for internships for international students. One has to be a permanent resident or a citizen. International students can apply for graduate roles, which are entry-level jobs that require less than 2 years of experience. University helps with CV interviews, etc.

MSc Strategic Marketing Management - Batch of 2025

There are no career fairs and job opportunities.
Tips: I can see many changes in myself after joining Aston University. I have improved a lot, my confidence has improved, my conversation skills and, of course, academically, I've learned a lot. I received a January intake scholarship that was £45000. I am satisfied with my university.
Likes (Public transportation): Aston University's Birmingham campus is well-connected to the city, as it's located in the city centre. This makes it easy to access restaurants, shopping malls, stores, and places to hang out. Cabs, buses, and trains are readily available, and the public transportation system is similar to other UK cities.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The university provides minimal CV assistance. There are no career fairs, and job opportunities seem more abundant for Bachelor's graduates than for Master's students. Furthermore, sponsored jobs are scarce.

MSc Business Analytics - Batch of 2025

Happy, peaceful and interactive.
Tips: I had a lot of opportunities to work with people from different courses at Aston University. They provide scholarships, and I got about 4,500 for having over 85% in my undergraduate degree. I am very satisfied with my overall experience at the university. It has been a great educational experience. I also appreciate that the courses are offered in the country where the university is located.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job is becoming very difficult due to the increase in students coming abroad. If you get your assignments done on time or before, a part-time job is manageable. However, the payout is currently at the minimum of 12.21, which is the minimum basic pay per the government.

MSc Data Analytics (including Professional Practice) - Batch of 2023
4.4
Student life is amazing. People are understanding and supportive.
Tips: I had a big transition when I moved to the UK, and I became a lot more independent. I learned to live my life strongly. Here, there's room to follow our own culture, but we should also keep in mind that we're in the UK now. We should respect British culture. It's not fair to bring our cultural and religious practices from our home countries and make people uncomfortable. But of course, we can still practice our beliefs as long as we're not imposing them on others. I did receive a 2000-pound scholarship based on my academic background. The university life was so good. It has plenty of events and extracurricular activities, and the students' union during my time was amazing. I took data analytics, which was a really good course. A few months after I graduated, I found a job in that field. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the course, university and the country.
Likes (Public transportation): The university is in the city centre, and there is access to all kinds of transportation within walking distance. Also, buses give special discounts for students, and that is a great thing while we are in university, so we can save some money. In addition, some buses come as frequently as every five minutes, so it's safe as well.
Dislikes (Internships): Internship opportunities are there, but we have to take the initiative to find them. The university won’t hand you an internship. When you begin at the university, there are a lot of career fairs and career support teams. If you use these resources wisely, you’ve got a good shot at getting an internship.

MSc in Supply Chain Management - Batch of 2025

A fun and informative experience with great faculty.
Tips: Students must find accommodation in the city centre. The staff are really helpful. I got an early acceptance scholarship. The curriculum is really different, in a good way, so one can easily balance their work and study. Overall, I am really satisfied with the course. university and the campus.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is nice and helpful. They are informative and responsive. They really interact a lot with the students and help them in any way possible. Our course especially had some practical exercises which helped us to understand the industry better.
Dislikes (Safety): I feel very safe on campus because of the security apps that are used. The people are friendly and helpful, and the city is vibrant. I've had good experiences so far, and I've met a lot of people from different cultures and had the pleasure of interacting with them.
