The University of Sussex announced multiple scholarships including the Sussex India Scholarship, Chancellor's International Scholarship, and other awards. 

Professor Robin Banerjee, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global and Civic Engagement) at the University of Sussex, expressed enthusiasm about the scholarships, stating, "At the University of Sussex, we are delighted to offer these substantial scholarships that will support talented Indian students and promote international collaboration and diversity within our academic community." He further added, “These scholarships underscore the importance of Indian students within our global student community. We look forward to welcoming the next cohort of Indian students to our beautiful campus.”

Sussex India Scholarship Details

Sussex India Scholarship is designed to provide substantial financial support to eligible Indian nationals aiming to pursue master’s courses at Sussex starting in September 2024.

The scholarship fund totals £4,000, with the option of the Chancellor's International Scholarship, valued at £5,000, available to exceptional international Master’s and Bachelor’s applicants. In addition, the University of Sussex announced the prestigious John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering (2024), which will provide £10,000 to each of four deserving recipients.

Moreover, the University is introducing additional £2,000 ‘Tuition Fee Awards’ for those who enrol in eligible master’s programs within the School of Engineering and Informatics or the University of Sussex Business School.

The deadline for applications for the Chancellor's International Scholarship is 1 May 2024 and the Sussex India Scholarship is 1 September 2024.

Other Masters scholarships offered by the University of Sussex include Technopolis UK Masters Scholarships (2024), Jesse White Masters Scholarship in International Relations (2024), and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Postgraduate Conversion Scholarship.

Tips for applying to do a Masters at Sussex

The university is organising a masters week from June 10 to June 14, 2024. The master week is a week-long series of 30-minute live online sessions covering the essentials of Masters study. It will help the students to plan their application for a Masters course, write a personal statement and use the step-by-step guide to help them through the online application form.

"A good personal statement can mean the difference between getting an offer and being rejected. Your personal statement should show us that you are the right person for the course," reads the statement on the official website.
