GRE score submission is optional for admission to Brown University MSc in CS, but it is encouraged. To take admission to this course, the applicants are required to have an UG degree in Computer Science. Brown Uni USA does not have a separate deadline to apply for scholarships. Indian students can apply for financial aid at the same time as they apply for admission (Nov 1 - Early Decision & Feb 1 - Regular Decision).

Brown University offers need-based scholarships to its international students. Note that the university does not offer any merit-based scholarships. On a general basis, the rewards are applied directly to the student account as a credit towards the cost of tuition, fees, room and meals. Also, it helps students cover the travel costs as well as the books and personal expenditure. However, the financial aid does not assist with vacation and summer expenses.

In the academic year 2024-25, the scholarship budget for need-based scholarships was USD 214.8 million. Brown University meets 100% of each undergraduate student's demonstrated financial need. Also,  100% of the students receiving financial aid have no loans in their university-packaged financial aid awards.

Q:   Is it possible for Indian students to pay their tuition fees in installments at Brown University?

Yes, Indian students can pay their Brown Uni fees in installments. Students can enroll in Brown's Installment Payment Plan (IPP) to pay one semester's fees in monthly installments (without any interest).

The fee will be deducted in 4 to 5 installments, once every month. To enroll for the plan, students will have to pay a non-refundable fee of USD 75 (INR 6.9 K) per semester.

Brown University is comparatively easier to get into due to Harvard University's acceptance rate is even lower than that of Brown University. The acceptance rate of Brown University is 5% while the acceptance rate of Harvard University is only 3% making the admissions very selective for students.
