Northeastern - an above average college.
Tips: Boston is great for building and fostering relationships with companies, but on-campus jobs are scarce because Northeastern University has a small campus in the city. It might take nearly a whole semester before you find an on-campus job. Even then, it will be tough to get enough hours to make ends meet. All the faculty are amazing and most of them have several years of experience in their industry. So my professors for deterministic operations research, probability and statistics, and supply chain engineering all had several years of experience and were still working. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Boston has a lot to offer as future prospects to those interested in setting here. If I wanted to, setting here is independent of the college I go to and is more related to my job, which category of visa it suffices. I would personally not like to settled here permanent.

The student hub for the grad students.
Tips: The students should know many basic terms in every field as they play a significant role in the day-to-day life of students here. The first is cooking, which every graduate must know. Second, please claim the Indian driving license, which is valid here. The country is very safe unless you try something wrong. There's a job search portal where companies directly hire Northeastern students, and this portal is also used for internship purposes. Companies typically pay $25/hr for interns, who usually work 40 hrs/wk. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Indian Food): As we come from the Asian continent, and specifically there are many Indians settled here who have hotel chains that provide all types of food options. However, I prefer cooking by myself as food is expensive outside. One should eat outside food once a week so that the monthly expenditure is settled.

Northeastern University has good faculty and curriculum.
Tips: Students should know that they will have to study to get good grades as grades are important to get an internship or a coop. This is beneficial for your full-time offer. The living expenses are high compared to other cities and the fees are also a bit on the expensive side. College life is great because there are a lot of Indian students and the food options are great too. The campus is great with quite a lot of facilities and amenities. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience.
Likes (Public transportation): The city is well connected and has a lot of public transport options going in and out of the city. The MBTA is quite efficient with the timings and all the transport has really good connectivity throughout the city. The tram and bus are good options for people with accessibility.
Dislikes (Part time work): The on-campus jobs are very less in number due to the city being around the whole campus. The number of students coming in at Northeastern is high as this causes a difference in the supply and demand and hence there is a lack of part-time jobs on the campus.

Expensive and saturated but you can make it worth your time.
Tips: You should start networking with peers and professors even before landing here in the US. If you are planning to pursue internships, make sure you start applying early and get your profile ready beforehand. Talk to your advisor, decide on the courses and prepare a course plan in general, try to maintain your GPA. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport in Boston is really good with great connectivity throughout the city. They have different train lines covering different areas and bus routes with good connectivity throughout, if you get a monthly youth pass you will end up saving a lot.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are very few good Indian restaurants and the only way to get Indian groceries is online as the nearest Indian grocery store is far away especially when you don't have a vehicle. The local shops are expensive and I would suggest visiting them only in case of emergency.

Northeastern university is average but the student life is fun.
Tips: Northeastern University is a good choice for some. The student life is good and public transportation is accessible. However, the school has too many international students. The international student population makes it difficult for international students to get a part-time, an internship, or a full-time job. Boston is an expensive place to live so I wouldn't suggest this school if you need to find a part-time job to help cover living expenses. Overall, this is just an average school.
