Fantastic college that outshines most of the popular private universities.
Tips: There is a cultural difference. People coming from India will need time to adjust to Austin and the US. UT offers a scholarship along with your admission letter. You can still mail and apply, but the success rate is very low. I earned a scholarship of 5000 with my admission letter. The best way to get a scholarship is to apply in the first round. I am very satisfied with the university, still adjusting to the country. I would say the course is good, but it's very important to know that it is more analytical than described on the website.
Likes (Public transportation): UT students can use all the public transportation in Austin for free. The bus services are great and are mostly on time. The bus services cover all the major areas of Austin that students would like to visit. Even if you have a guest coming over, the bus pass is also very affordable.
Dislikes (Part time work): This is a 10-month course, and due to this, there is no option for TA/RA/Internship. There are many part-time opportunities, but due to a very tight schedule, student of this course cannot do most of them. The ones we can do are for PTS (Parking and Transportation Services) and Dining. The average pay is $14.

The university provides a good sense of community.
Tips: Studying at the University of Texas has been an incredible journey with lots of ups and downs so far. The student body is diverse, and accommodation so you will meet good people. Focus on network building and making friends while you're here. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience.

The college is great with strong and intense academics.
Tips: The course work and curriculum are pretty intense and studying here has been a truly one of a kind experience. You should spend time exploring courses before you select a single major as you might be surprised. Don't miss out on the international student fair and mixers as these are a great way of socialising and networking.

Grateful for the opportunities.
Tips: I have transitioned for the better after coming here. My experience here has been smooth, fulfilling and educative as well. If you are in a fix, then the student services office is genuinely very helpful as they made my transition much smoother by assisting in my housing as well as in-class registration.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian restaurants and food options all over campus and nearby. Moreover, because of the vast Indian population, you can experience all sorts of Indian cuisines and palates that will taste even better than the food you get back in India at times.

The college is good with a supportive environment.
Tips: What I like the most about the University of Texas is the amount of diversity here because of which I have made friends and networking opportunities from all across the world. If you are looking for some sense of home, you can rely on the Indian community for support. There are lots of opportunities but we need to find one that meets our interests and passion. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences here.
