In order to secure an admission in the University of the Pacific, all international students (including Indian students) should take the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English test. However, this requirement can be waived off under the circumstances listed below:

  • SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing score of 570; OR
  • ACT Composite score of 22 or above.

Apart from this, Indian students also need to complete the online application, present their academic results, SOP, Letter of recommendation, copy of passport, resume, TOEFL score, certified copy of academic transcripts, passport size photographs. University of the Pacific offers scholarships to international students. As per the official website of the University, students will be able to choose amongst the options listed below:

  • Powell Scholarship - International 1st year students can apply for this scholarship. The scholarship has a separate admission & interview process. Students who want to avail the scholarship must apply both for admission process and for the Powell scholarship for full consideration.
  • Academic Merit Scholarships - This applies to students who have graduated from a high school outside of the US. Upon admission to the university, students are considered for a domestic academic merit scholarship. The scholarship amount fall in the range of $8,000 to $24,000.
  • International Student Merit Scholarships - Students can also explore from the several international merit scholarships offered by the University to international students applying as first year or transfer students. Scholarship amount is $15,000 and can be availed by high school students outside of the US. 
  • Athletic Scholarships are also available for international students.
Q:   Are students allowed to work while studying in University of the Pacific?
A: 

University of the Pacific permits all students holding a student visa and awarded the FWS (Federal Work Study) are eligible to work while studying in the university.
