History
Regent’s Park was designed in 1811. The university campus was originally built for Bedford College. It was founded in 1849. In 1984, the Crown lease was taken by Rockford College, Illinois, which founded Regent’s College to offer a study abroad program and provide focus with a clear British focus. The first students arrived in 1985. The European Business School arrived in 1985, followed by the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling in 1990. In 1997, Regent’s Business School was set up. Then in 2006, these schools merged to become Regent’s College London.
