Dublin Business School History
DBS Dublin started its journey as the Accountancy and Business College in 1975, and provided evening courses for students preparing for the examinations of the professional accounting bodies. Initially, the school offered programs leading to awards at National Certificate level, and now has honor degrees, higher diplomas and pg programs.
With the Higher Education and Training Awards Council HETAC) the DBS Ireland turned into a designated institution and in 2003 it was acquired by Kaplan, Inc., the education division of The Graham Holdings Company. Later in 2007 Dublin School of Business acquired Portobello College. In today's date Dublin Business School boasts the title of being the largest independent third-level institution in Ireland.
